You prolly dont give a shit but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all of the new series on Instaflixxer. Have been watching with my girlfriend these days =)
Awesome video man, thank you so much! I $500 in sales last month on all things I just had laying around the house. Now i'm trying to use that capital to invest in greater value products and grow my store..Thanks for your help
The "all the stuff in your house" one might shock some people, and I certainly won't sell ALL my stuff, but only because lots of my stuff is crap nobody would buy, ha. I did start there though, selling a bunch of dead animals preserved in jars that I liked but they just collected dust. That was less than a month ago and from there I caught the bug. Now I've sold a bunch of my stuff, plus stuff from garage sales, trash curbs and estate sales. I've made over $1500 in 25 days.
NWT clothing category was mentioned as having too much competition. We do fantastic in this NWT category. I think this is where the action is. As long as you buy at the right price and don't get too greedy you can do very good. 1. Easy to find at outlet and clearance stores. 2. Prices as low as $3.50 for name brands (average $5-$7). 3. Multiples of same items go in one listing. 4. No defects and washing not required. 5. Happy customers buying multiple items. 6. Great feedback. 7. Return buyers. Some brands we find a lot of are Tommy Bahama, Nike, Under Armour, Armani, Ralph Lauren, Columbia, Nautica, Hurley, Cubavera, True Religon, Affliction, etc. We also get Big & Tall items which are usually discounted more heavily. These are some of the reasons we have gone heavy into NWT and have reduced our preowned inventory. It does help if you live near a larger metro area like we do (Orlando). We even buy from major brand online stores when they run a one day clearout sale. Sign up for email alerts. Everyone has a Ross, Marshalls or TJ Max near them and there are even better places to find good inventory. We also have a few malls in the tourist area that are outlet stores only. We currently have around 500 NWT items in our store. They sell so fast it is hard to keep the inventory up. Most are MSRP $25-$80. Sometimes we find homeruns like the (3) Ralph Lauren pearl snap western shirts for $5 ea. Sold for $55 ea within a couple of weeks. Mike
Agree w/ NWT. I stumble across them occasionally, but it's not every time I thrift. But NWT does sell well. But those brands you mentioned - Tommy Bahama, Ralph Lauren, Columbia are plentiful on the racks and very slow sellers. I see so much of Tommy Stuff is depressing :)
Hi super interesting! I also live close to Orlando, Ormond Beach Fl. Trying very hard to get A profitable store up & running on Poshmark & Mercari since Dec ‘18. Not doing great but not giving up. I have sold items NWT & am going to try doing as much of this as possible. I’m finding just regular Resell items no matter how nice are a tough sell. Any advice?
Who'd would of thunk. Give a video review of the used junk I have in my Ebay store with the affiliate link to my item. Then put affiliate link for new version if available on Amazon. Brilliant
Really enjoying your enthusiasm and straightforward approach! I hear you channeling Tim Ferriss. Isn’t his podcast terrific? I am watching your past videos while working on year-end activities of my e-commerce business. Will continue to follow you! 👍🏼
I am a sourcing whirlwind on sourcing antiques. But that is my hobby since age 15. I can get cases of really great stuff with minutes of effort. sometimes I try to research before, but when I see it, I snatch it. Got a $120 necklace for less than a dollar, which paid for the whole case I had bought and continued to sell.
You're completely right about aftersale feeling! This is excatly as i feel! You sell something to somebody, you earn 100% sometimes 200% of margin, and that person tells you "you're genious with your item, i love it so much!" And at that moment you feel so good!))) It feels like you throw off all your guilt, earning so much on that person!)))
@@dailyrefinement What is your ebay store? I would like to check it up. I'm also a pro seller, you can check up mine www.ebay.com/str/vintagephotoequipmentandother. I like your channel and i like your lifestyle and mindset, they are pretty much the same as mines!
One of my 3 categories im working on is used men's dress shoes and the other is plush items like stuffed animals and beanie babies and I'm still working on my third
The biggest problem with going out and finding good products to sell is most people that have these things look this stuff up on eBay and then price it that way. No way to make a profit and why many are quitting eBay and amazon because its extremely difficult to make a profit because of this.
Chris one thing you said hit home “Don’t get too trigger happy when you are starting out on EBay...” I did just that, now I’m stuck with a lot of useless crap... that is just not selling... relisted three times! -Rob
yeah but that's the way to learn.. how else can you learn if not by listing the item? There is no guarantee that your item will sell... otherwise we would all be very well off ;)
So far the coolest thing I have sold it a vintage Miriam Haskell necklace to a person in Japan, a Wedgwood 3" vintage ashtray to a man in Korea and a cool belt buckle to a guy in Australia. More fun than profit but I did make a profit on that necklace! LOL
Your absolutely correct about video games. I've made great profit from them however it is extremely difficult to maintain a steady sourcing of inventory in the condition, etc needed to make that profit. (with boxes, manuals etc). 85% of the time you would be flipping for very low margins. They have been a great addition to my collectibles selling but definitely NOT a good bread and butter.
Awesome video! Thanks so much for the content! I was wondering, how much do you pay your photographer and lister? Is it per item, per hour, or a flat fee?
I have been between $1500 and $2500 a month on eBay. Tend to sell $30 plus items. Average working inventory listing of 100 to 120 items. I need to be around $4000 plus. I have a death pile probably of 100 items (don’t know for sure). I have had a few several day periods of no sales due partially to going out of town. Sales have been so spotty of late and my motivation to list has been low at times. Tend to sell electronics. Also I take care of my wife recovering from medical condition. I want consistency and momentum. This year has been so cyclical in sales. I need help but have been so guarded about it.
I wonder why everyone thinks you have to go in gung-ho and list hundreds of items a day and make 50K plus a year. Some of us would be very happy to make a couple hundred a month to supplement our other income. We still would want to know what sells, where to look for items to buy cheap, etc.
Good point. The videos that get the views are for get rich (not that that is a bad thing) whereas most viewers are likely in the category you describe. Big Money Making IDEA: Make videos geared for the dabblers! lol I just gotta do a video on that!

10K - you have to be out there every single day in and out of thrift stores and rummage sales, and build up an inventory. And then you have to have the space to store it.....that's a lot!
