I would say, if you're willing to wait just a bit longer, it might be better to save up for the next system considering it will very likely be able to play Switch games in addition to next-gen Switch 2 games (like what @touchai1482 said). But, if you really just want to play Switch's vast library and prefer an OLED screen (and perhaps you're not too big on the idea of next-gen just yet), then i think the Switch OLED is a great system to pick up!
The announcement I imagine will be before the year-end investor briefing. Either before the year-end fiscal results release, or before the release of the next fiscal year's projections. I would have thought these two dates are the same, but apparently they might not actually be. I saw someone say the next fiscal year's projections come in May, while the fiscal results for the current year come in April 🤔if true, then Nintendo COULD go all the way until April/May without revealing the system, but of course, if they want, they can announce it whenever they want, as soon as January if they want. But it's unlikely they'll go any longer than May before announcing it.
I agree, I think it's fairly unlikely we won't hear anything of it by the end of May or June. Sometime between January and March seems a likely scenario, in my opinion.
I'd say they'll announce it like they did the Switch ,Probably have a reveal like they did in 2017, they did it on the 13th but this time i wonder if it will happen this month or maybe in a few months
Very nice video! You are seriously underrated
Thanks so much, I really appreciate that! I'm glad you enjoyed the video :)
So is it worth it to get an oled model at this time as an upgrade?
I would defenetly wait for the switch 2, becouse you can play switch games on the next konsole. That would make sense from nintendo

The successor to the Nintendo Switch will be unveiled in the late 2024...
Hard to say.. you very well could be right. I'm personally thinking it'll be revealed first half of next year. Only time will tell!
