@burtreynolds8030 I don't think it's an issue if it takes a long time, and I also don't think SW is too big for that sort of treatment. 1. It doesn't need to be a game throughout the whole galaxy. Just a few open world maps on a few planets is good enough. Basically what Outlaws is trying to do. But with a better treatment than it is seemingly getting. Hell, even Star Wars Galaxies pulled something off, even though it was an MMO and that type of open world is different and a lot of the planets were empty. There is potential for a big scale open world, and it is possible
Ever met a person who just sees the good in everyone and refuses to accept that someone is a bad person? It's like that but for Star Wars. They probably think The Acolyte is good.

The prequels were at the same time the best and worst thing about SW, they had the cringiest dialogues and then follow it up with some of the best action scenes ever. Nah there's definitely toxic star wars fans, they just blend in with normal criticism.
Star Wars community probably: Just give us bf3 Ea and Ubisoft: nah that will please the community, so we will give you a game that has a quest that’s locked behind a pay wall. And ohh it’s $150 dollars🤝
I’m so happy that Star Wars is such a small universe that you can learn everything you need to know by just exploring the history of one planet on the edge of civilized space. The fact they STILL haven’t figured out that an open world Star Wars game were you can create your character Skyrim style would absolutely clap cheeks is astounding to me. That literally feels like someone walking into their office and slapping down a paper that says “Sign this and you will make endless amounts of money” and the company is just like “Ok but that sounds fun though and we don’t do that here” With all the arguments for and against a “create a character” style open world game there’s one thing that it does provide and that’s replayability through personal role playing but hey, games aren’t made to be replayable nowadays so who cares I guess. Besides Star Wars lore is so horrendously shattered at the point that trying to get into the canon or get someone else into it is genuinely embarrassing. As someone who’s read almost all the legends material growing up and was a lore encyclopedia for all my friends it’s actually heartbreaking that I can’t look at the franchise anymore without just thinking to myself “Yeah that’s about as pathetic as I expected.”
The dude that said "This is a hot take, this looks great" is the whole problem in gaming and the reason why we have companies like EA, Ubisoft, Bethesda, and Activision. They keep buying these games falling for the game trailers!
It's like the mobile mtx brainrot slop audience that have never played a decent game in their short time of existence are the whales that AAAA studios target. AKA daddy and mommy pay for their Fortnight Battle pass.
I don't understand why they thought showing a planet, that's like 80% sand nothingness would help them out when everyone is already complaining about their empty open worlds lmao
Why is it that all these popular games, movies, comics and TV shows are being handed off to people who either dont know what makes them good or even outright hate them without even trying to hide it? What the fuck is going on.
Because it’s easier (and thus more profitable) to shill out a mediocre product that people will buy from a recognizable IP than it is to spend the money and time to allow creatives to make art
I don’t remember where I seen it but I remember seeing a dev replying to people about a game a while back when people were saying it was too empty, and the dev replied saying well it’s open world and in the real world there’s a lot of plain land. And someone answered back saying “And in real life the plain land is boring too, so why the fuck would we want a video game to play through that boring shit too?” And that point looks like it works here as well
I feel like they shouldn’t only be showing Tatooine. I want to see the variety that the game has to offer (if it has any) Kamino? Naboo? Corusaunt? Nal Hutta? Inside a Star Destroyer or other big ship? Geonosis? Great Britain? Jakku? Hoth? Also the gameplay is very generic, so I was hoping for multiple playable characters to spice things up a little but right now it just seems like a worse version of Battlefront 2’s campaign. They both even have the same gimmick of a little companion that can stun enemies; only difference being that an evil Inquisitor Droid is a lot cooler than a Axolotl-rat thing. It doesn’t look bad, but it seems like a 5/10 which means it’s not good enough to be loved, and not bad enough to be remembered.
I’m tired of pretending like graphics don’t matter. If you sell a full priced game at 70$ and higher from a big company, I expect good graphics. This is not it.
Early on in the vid I thought "I feel like a game where you play the commando droid would just be way cooler. Am I weird for wanting THAT game?" The Zan echoed the sentiment and I felt vindicated.

@@burtreynolds8030could be on some sort of planet and keep it on that one. Maybe Taris

Ever met a person who just sees the good in everyone and refuses to accept that someone is a bad person? It's like that but for Star Wars. They probably think The Acolyte is good.
I'll defend the ship fighting system - that looks like it could be fun. and if they can pull off the open world, that will be good to- but tbh, i'll most likely just end up pirating this one because of how trash it looks rn

People have been complaining about ubisoft games for so many years yet they still release games with exact same issues every year
Because people keep buying them every year. It doesn't matter how much we complain about bad games if we keep giving money to bad games. As long as companies continue to profit off of dogshit games, they're gonna continue to release dogshit games.
@@iliveintrash5233 I'm pretty sure Ubisoft hasn't turned a profit for years at this point. I remember reading an article somewhere that they're basically waiting to get taken over atp.
Hmm. The dynamic has shifted; games are in demand more than gamers are in demand

I'm so happy that people are finally standing up to the shiny Ubisoft games . It brings me joy seeing the dislikes on AC shadows and starwars outlaws
Looking forward to the "I Played Star Wars Outlaws So You Don't Have To" video.
This lmao
Trust me guys this is the actual quadruple A game 😂
It’s crazy because a Star Wars game where you have starfield type questing, fallen order type gameplay and no mans sky level traversal, you’d have one of the greatest video games to ever exist.
Nah, man. We got to face reality, Star Wars has been dragged into the mud ever since the sequels.
There are problems with the prequels but I liked it when they came out so not just nostalgia talking but PRREEEEEEAAAAAACCCHHHHHHHHH BROTHAAAAAA and disney also had a hand or 2 at trampling all over the lore and built up universe like they did Mufasa but this is worst cuz no cub comes out to replace this unless you can't the💩sequels
@@ozitona7704 I think people nitpicked the prequels too much when they came out, not that we saw what an actual bad Star Wars movie would look like, I think the prequels get fair criticism now, because they are pretty darn good, it’s only really a handful of scenes that seem dumb
The prequels were at the same time the best and worst thing about SW, they had the cringiest dialogues and then follow it up with some of the best action scenes ever. The sequels have really nice 5 seconds sequences of good images, then youbars hit with 10 minutes 9f 9ne of the worst movies you've ever seen
People give ep 2 a bad rap but the only real proplem was anakin and padmes dialog should have been swapped
Star Wars without lightsabers turns into a generic space adventure
damn that explosion effect looks like something out of jedi outcast or jedi academy from 2006
There are no toxic Star Wars fans, Star Wars has simply become toxic.
That's exactly it. It's like someone serving you a plate of rotten, moldy food and then saying "Why aren't you eating? What's wrong with you? You're actually being really rude right now."

Star Wars community probably: Just give us bf3
Ea and Ubisoft: nah that will please the community, so we will give you a game that has a quest that’s locked behind a pay wall.
That literally feels like someone walking into their office and slapping down a paper that says “Sign this and you will make endless amounts of money” and the company is just like “Ok but that sounds fun though and we don’t do that here”
With all the arguments for and against a “create a character” style open world game there’s one thing that it does provide and that’s replayability through personal role playing but hey, games aren’t made to be replayable nowadays so who cares I guess.

BRUH I was convulsing with laughter when the thermal detonator went off lol
Don't you worry. Game journalists are writing the articles blaming gamers as we speak.
I don’t remember where I seen it but I remember seeing a dev replying to people about a game a while back when people were saying it was too empty, and the dev replied saying well it’s open world and in the real world there’s a lot of plain land. And someone answered back saying “And in real life the plain land is boring too, so why the fuck would we want a video game to play through that boring shit too?” And that point looks like it works here as well
Idk if I misunderstood but in the video Zanny says I’ve played every assassins creed game SINCE odyssey. That would only be 2 assassins creed games??
Feels like the MJ missions in the Spiderman games
Minions are just yellow jawas
this will be game of the DECADE
Jedi Series crying in the corner
If that's how powerful a thermal detonator is, Leia wouldn't have frag'd anyone but herself.
AAAAAA gaming experience
I feel like they shouldn’t only be showing Tatooine. I want to see the variety that the game has to offer (if it has any)
Kamino? Naboo? Corusaunt?
“Is that a threat” 😂 9:24
Honestly looks better than starfield
I'd say they're pretty similar. Starfield is typical Bethesda slop, Outlaws is typical Ubisoft slop
Early on in the vid I thought "I feel like a game where you play the commando droid would just be way cooler. Am I weird for wanting THAT game?" The Zan echoed the sentiment and I felt vindicated.
every time i see more about this im just reminded more and more of starfield lmao
update: LOL the cope comment from the video poster! LITERALLY STARFIELD
Star Wars Microtransactions, the game.
I’ve seen some Star Wars UA-camrs say the build they played was better than this and the game from what they played isn’t all that bad
Which ones? Cause I guarantee it's shills like Star Wars HQ who unrelentingly praise anything star wars related so they can keep getting those sweet, sweet game keys and sponsorships
