@@kingkrabs7437 not that far. There's basically only two decades between Episodes 3 and 4 Fallen Order and Survivor occur at 5 year intervals from Episode 3's end
The Bode thing is interesting. He thinks bringing The Path there will end up leading the empire there eventually which is fair, and he’s just completely unwilling to take the chance. Even when he asks Cal if he can protect everyone Cal doesn’t answer; a soft admission that he knows he can’t if it goes wrong like everything else he’s been apart of so far. Would you take the risk with your daughter? That’s the question Bode’s character asks the players.
He's also probably thinking "I was able to get in this far, whose to say someone else as competent as me will do the same thing while I'm not paying attention."
Yup, and then you have The Force on top of that which can amplify one's emotions by a ton. It was only a matter of time before Bode turned to The Dark Side
@Stars_End. I dont think Bode was really turned to the dark side, he never does the sort of dominating crush type force attacks that the dark side is known for. Cal did though. Cal may even be closer to the dark side than Bode was.
I still didn’t really care for his character though. Kinda stupid to neglect your kid like that to protect them, doesn’t seem like a logical or realistic thing to do
I cried my eyes out at Cere’s death. The ash falling, Cal holding her and crying, and the music… the whole scene is an emotional bomb. Well fucking done Respawn, finally a team of writers who know how to give a beloved character a respectful ending.
The end really wasn't what I expected. I figured there would be a plot twist, but Bode's betrayal and reveal leading into a final boss fight that amounted to a very personal grudge match was so unlike star wars in a way that was really engaging. The plot threads left for the third game were also really great, with Cal struggling with balancing the light side and dark side inside himself in probably the most relatable character struggle in Star Wars history while trying to create a healthy romantic relationship with Merrin as well as - and here's the unexpected banger - raising and training the child of the friend HE killed in front of her. WOWSA. The end really saved the game. It was great, but the end really took it the distance.
What do you mean "unlike Star Wars" almost EVERY Star Wars film has a specific grudge match at the end... Nah the plot was dumb, Bode's plan makes no sense, even if he didn't trust the Empire to cut a deal where he got to live somewhere, he did trust them enough to leave his kid there and that was fine...but then he doesn't trust anyone else to come there even though he was the one who betrayed people and has no real reason not to trust the various people that may come with him and would certainly be better able to fight off Imperial Scouts with everyone else if the Empire ever did come looking. And now you've got to raise some crotch dropping that there's no real attachment to. Kind of amateur hour writing trying to be intelligent, matches the buggy launch perfectly.
Here we see the Average star wars fans from one end to another. You have the "Wow this is so cool they did that!" To "Naw this is dog shit Disney ruins everything and your blind as fuck."
@@esmeecampbell7396 it’s the fucking Empire! They would’ve killed her as soon as Bode’s usefulness was done. They couldn’t be trusted, because it’s literally the Empire

Pervy has so many appearances I was beginning to think that he was a generic enemy that has the exact same dialogues during a fight, and appears multiple times over the games. But we all know that's crazy.
Crazy? I was crazy once. They locked me in a room. A texutred rubber room. A texured rubber room with gundarks. The gundarks made me crazy. Crazy? I was crazy once...
I know some people saw the Bode twist coming from a mile away, but it was still so satisfying. He’s such a good character, it helps that they cast the actor for Charles from Read Dead 2
Yeah it was telegraphed to hell and back. Wouldn't stop going on and on about his daughter. Misteriously disappear during missions to perform ambiguosly defined tasks. Would look shifty as heck whenever Cal praised him and so on, it got to the point that when I defeated Dagan and Bode hadn't turned on me yet, I began to wonder if my instincts were wrong and this was just a red herring....and then, well you know what happened.
Bode actually has a solid reason to not want the Hidden Path to access Tanalorr. If they're going to be using it as a safe haven for people that the Empire is hunting, eventually the Empire will find out what they're doing, infiltrate them, and get access to Tanalorr themselves. Bode knows this is true because he quite literally spent the entire time infiltrating Cal's crew himself.
We are finally allowed to do spoilers since there are two types of survivor players, those who did the quest line, and those who glitched out and had it spoiled by others.
9:23 yeah even I was confused why that was a problem. But long story short. He had a problem with the hidden path because if they are in Tanalorr. The empire will actually try to get to tanalor to take them out. Just like how they hunted him specifically to kill any remaining Jedi. So to him. The less Jedi there. The less the empire will give a shit and just mark them up as “not dead but won’t do shit to us.” It’s still stupid in every other way since his strive for a perfect hiding spot made the empire know where the main control hub is, meaning if Cal didn’t go after him. The empire would have a jumpstart on getting a general understanding how to get to tanalor to begin with. As a result. It lets them skip trying to figure out where he could be, and straight to understanding how to get there by stripping everything down and figuring it out from there. So bode was so desperate to keep the empire unknowing of tanalor that his obsession pretty much had him led them to the goldmine of understanding how to get to it ironically.
Imo this is one of Zanny’s funniest vids to date. All the comedic timing and cuts especially when he sees Bodes daughter for the first time had me on the floor
I love when characters are like "don't kill him! This isn't you!" When just a few minutes before, and throughout the whole game, you kill dozens of people and animals without a second thought
But honestly, it's a bit different when you kill in self-defence/to protect others and striking down a disarmed dude because you hate his guts... It is a shame tho we don't get any non-lethal options (like a force push knockout) to get Cal more aligned with the whole "being a Jedi" and "all life is precious" thing lol
@@maciej4250 I mean, you know how many times Cal has stealth killed an animal or a stormtrooper just chilling alone? It's just funny is all that we kill grunts during games like this, but when it comes to an important commander that has ordered the deaths of hundreds of people, we're not supposed to kill him. I understand it's for story reasons and canonically Cal probably hasn't killed any unarmed people like in gameplay, but it's just funny
@@lucifermagne7458 Yeah, it is pretty funny... Also if Cal can just slow time on command like in Fallen Order shouldn't he just use it all the tine to run past any enemies or wild animals? Personally I LOVE how they made the ponchos default color pink. When I saw and collected I said to myself, zanny is gonna love this.
I already know that if Maul shows up in the third game Zanny is gonna lose his sh!t 💀
Zanny: “I AM DARTH MAUL!!!”
too many cameos would be an L
Didn't Maul die during the Empire, in Rebels?
@@yochit4224 this is decades before that
@@kingkrabs7437 not that far. There's basically only two decades between Episodes 3 and 4
Fallen Order and Survivor occur at 5 year intervals from Episode 3's end
@@Flowermedal On that note, it makes a fair bit of sense why jedi were against forming attachments if this is the result.
@Stars_End. I dont think Bode was really turned to the dark side, he never does the sort of dominating crush type force attacks that the dark side is known for. Cal did though. Cal may even be closer to the dark side than Bode was.
I still didn’t really care for his character though. Kinda stupid to neglect your kid like that to protect them, doesn’t seem like a logical or realistic thing to do
“This doesn’t have to get ugly… like you Bode 😇”
Took me out💀
Nah fr!!😂🤣😂🤣
The music during Cere's death scene is fucking insanely good! The score for this game and the audio engineering in general is just top tier.
Agreed! Whoever did the music needs a raise.
Ikkkk bro I agree and ghost star song/ost is just chef kiss also
I cried my eyes out at Cere’s death. The ash falling, Cal holding her and crying, and the music… the whole scene is an emotional bomb. Well fucking done Respawn, finally a team of writers who know how to give a beloved character a respectful ending.
The song that plays is extremely similar to savathuns song from destiny. Quite coincidental since the VA for cere is the same VA for savathun.
@@spritsfal5088 What are you even talking about? The music for the entire game is spot on.
We let Zanny cook and he delivered a Four course meal
A Michelin star for our master chef!
16:40
That No was everything.
"Holy shit, they gave Vader a health bar. I CAN WIN!!!!!"
*Half a second later*
"I SURRENDER!!!"
It wasn't an healthbar
It was a tolerance level
It littery his health bar cere is underrated fr
I’m glad I got to watch the four moments where zanny thought he 100%’d the game
"We're gona throw the daughter into space" SENT me 🤣🤣🤣
"Lets fockin go"
The end really wasn't what I expected.
@@esmeecampbell7396he didn’t trust the empire to keep his kid there, they were literally holding his daughter as collateral to keep him in line.
@@drstrangelove307 and yet they kept his daughter alive as long as he stayed in line which means he should have trusted them
@@esmeecampbell7396 it’s the fucking Empire! They would’ve killed her as soon as Bode’s usefulness was done. They couldn’t be trusted, because it’s literally the Empire
Zanny’s reaction to Cal force choking Denvick whilst talking to Merrin was how I imagined he would react
I ran into Pervy a couple of weeks ago and I cackled when he said “more! give me more!” And immediately thought of Zanny
I love the part where we play as Cere it’s a power fantasy for the player as they just mop up everything and then they have the wind taken out of their sails when Darth Vader shows up and lets not forget she goes out like a real one leaving Darth Vader wheezing and limping back to his ship
Damn straight! It's nice to see someone put respect on Ceres name! She is like that!
Pervy has so many appearances I was beginning to think that he was a generic enemy that has the exact same dialogues during a fight, and appears multiple times over the games.
But we all know that's crazy.
No he comes back for more, he wants more, he literally says it, c’mon bruh
Crazy? I was crazy once. They locked me in a room. A texutred rubber room. A texured rubber room with gundarks. The gundarks made me crazy. Crazy? I was crazy once...
Even in a Zanny video, Cere's death still makes me tear up. That music man. Incredible.
8:37 had me dying on the ground 💀💀💀
Fr
I burst out laughing
just like the younglings
💀
Ayo
Zanny’s reaction to Cal and Merrin kissing on the ship screamed “IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!” energy
The number of times Zanny said Talanorr instead of Tanalorr is infuriating
16:28 The movie is not even a year old and yet it has become a meme classic
Zanny: Destroying guys in duels
Game cutscenes: The time has come... execute order 66
17:12 little detail: It's dagan gera's lightsaber
I wasn’t ready for Zanny's reaction at 8:35
Bode had it covered
The betrayal part was for sure was obvious but him being a jedi was unexpected tbh
Never trust anyone willing to do anything to keep their child safe.
Honestly I think they did a good job delaying his betrayal, I would've expected it to happen sooner
I legitimately didn’t see it until I saw a spoiler while I was only like halfway through the game.
4:33 looks like the money wasnt so greezy after all
zanny truly is the master of 3 point saber combos
Every scene with Cal and Merrin just makes me giggle because it's adorable
zanny's editing style is genuinely my favorite, i always am actually laughing whenever i watch his videos
4:24 Not even Zanny could crack jokes at this moment. Shit actually messed me up
Can’t believe years on Zanny still refuses to stop ledging people in fights
Bro don't remind me he stopped uploading For Honor
He just shouts "No stop! Im an imperial officer! LOOK AT MY *DISGUISE!*"
I haven't laughed to hard in a while.
Cal emptying the clip in the background was to much hahaha 17:10🤣😂
Mag 💀
The clip of him petting his dog, and the dog looking at him like “did I tell you to stop?” Is too real lol 😂
19:08 I will teach you the *Greezdy*, Kata.
18:16
Must be Grand Moff Tarkin's Lullaby.
“This is getting out of hand, now there are three is them.” The best quote ever and handiest
I’m happy cal didn’t say anything when he shot Bode. You don’t just embrace the darkness then say “ we were brothers once, I loved you “😂
14:33 This is why Zanny is a true comedic genius 🫡
The thing is, with the Hidden Path going to Tanalorr, is that it could eventually attract the Empire's attention
Wasn't a requirement to get to Tanalorr to go through a hyper dangerous, super small, hyper-speed wormhole? I think they would have been fine.
Let’s take a moment to feel bad for Zanny, not knowing how the bounties storyline ends.
🤣
The boba fett cameo is cool
We are finally allowed to do spoilers since there are two types of survivor players, those who did the quest line, and those who glitched out and had it spoiled by others.
On new game+ i got the bounties that were glitched on my first playthrough.
Wait she gives bounties? I thought bounty hunters found you?
15:12 i was so excited during this for like 1 second cause I thought she was going to evil santa clause him and bury his ass in the wall
Merrin when she looses her patience:
Ight, that's it
**burries you in the fucking wall**
Cask of Amontillado intensifies
When Bode hit BD-1, I was shooketh and wanted to kill him immediately
Same

I love that zanny was struggling with the lightsaber throws from the bosses, but could parry everything else perfectly
13:17 not the prowler theme💀
This game’s romance arc between Cal and Merrin is the first time in years I’ve been genuinely invested in a relationship in a game. They’re great
Bro this part caught me off guard😂 16:55
For those who don't know, Cere's lightsaber is the Boone Kestis saber concept from Fallen Order.
the AirBNB thing is actually so sweet, dont see a lot of owners doing that. he indeed is a certified puppy father
The less the empire will give a shit and just mark them up as “not dead but won’t do shit to us.”
It’s still stupid in every other way since his strive for a perfect hiding spot made the empire know where the main control hub is, meaning if Cal didn’t go after him. The empire would have a jumpstart on getting a general understanding how to get to tanalor to begin with.
As a result. It lets them skip trying to figure out where he could be, and straight to understanding how to get there by stripping everything down and figuring it out from there.
So bode was so desperate to keep the empire unknowing of tanalor that his obsession pretty much had him led them to the goldmine of understanding how to get to it ironically.
dude, his skills against Vader were incredible, the sheer fluidity and focus was so good to watch
My day gets better after watching zanny
Forget seeing a therapist Zanny is a better option
17:05 is just diabolical
20:11 “I’m just here to meet Darth Maul”
And that’s how Mom and Dad met.
4:12 “FUCK THE KIDS” had me dying 😂
Even in death, Pervie still asks for more
Imo this is one of Zanny’s funniest vids to date. All the comedic timing and cuts especially when he sees Bodes daughter for the first time had me on the floor
Someone needs to make a compilation of merrin and Cal getting to know each other more and more showing zany's initial reaction.
I love when characters are like "don't kill him! This isn't you!" When just a few minutes before, and throughout the whole game, you kill dozens of people and animals without a second thought
Cal after spending .8 seconds meditating: Oh boy, here I go killing again!
Wouldn't THAT be the Jedi way?? Nahh, gotta get that upgrade thingy, bye bye human beeing staying in my way lmao
Cal was about to crush every bone in his body in pure anger.
10:26 it's okey to kill hundreds of stormtroopers but not one officer that's evil
9:06
"He's using the girl as a shield...THIS IS LOW, EVEN FOR YOU!!"
You can never imagine my ADVANCED confusion at knowing a little bit about the story of Jedi Survivor from Fallen Order. Then randomly clinking on this video to immediately be greeted with.
1) a fight against Bode.
2) seeing him wield a lightsaber and use the force.
3) hearing Zanny scream “TRAITOR”
It really felt like the Vader boss fight was the real final boss considering how much of a buster bode was.
I loved the part when Cal said “It’s Jedi Survivin’ time!” to Bode and survived all over him, truly one of the moments of all time
As someone who beat both the Fallen Order/Jedi Survivor games and loved them, and someone who loves Zanny’s content, this series was hilarious and extremely entertaining. 😂
I lost my shit when Bode said, “What are we? Some kind of Jedi: Survivor?” Truly one of the games of all time.
