Also when changing the diesel fuel filter, (not the water separator) when you go to install the new fuel filter, fill it with diesel first that way the air will be removed. however if air did get into your system, it is very easy to remove. just turn the valve screw on top of the diesel fuel filter. that will bleed any air out when you turn on the fuel pump.
No oil change since 2000!!?? Rotella T is good.. but idk about 20 years good, yeah?
Legend has it he is still using the same filter. 22 years 😮
I was thinking the same thing 😂
Thanks man I have to do this today and now I’m confident about it 👍 appreciate the video!!
No problem 👍 how did it turn out?
@@TheFrugalHugelGardener it went great 👍 thanks for the help
@@danielcauley88 you're welcome. I look at it daily, especially when low on fuel. because you can see the fuel lowering time to go add more.
You don’t need to bleed the fuel system afterward?
No, because no air will get into the system through this water separator. air will only get in through the diesel fuel filter.

So as long as the red ring is on the bottom, there is no water?
Yes that is correct, it will float if there is any water in present.
@@TheFrugalHugelGardener Thanks, I've been worried since Ian.
