Great demo on how to use this properly. And thanks for the heads up on the midi controller set-up, really helpful!
Learning a lot of new stuff from you!!!
many tutorials on the arranger track and i needed to refresh myself having decided to go all the way into cubase with version 12. always picking up valuable insights from Tutorialism. muchos gracias.
Nice one. Yeah, it’s always alot of fun playing about with the arranger track!
@@Tutorial_ism totally...i know you've had an ableton background...as i as well...and sure it's fun to use session, but there's just this thing about seeing the arranger track and alls you gotta do is just play with it ...then print it ......tutorials are ways cool....i'll definitely be interested if you do something with supervision....ahh but one thing about ableton....hit the piano roll n' all notes are selected ...then hit delete or whatever...cubase 12.5 i hope
Wonderful, concise explanation of the Arranger Track functionality. I've recently transitioned back to Cubase and this shortened my ramp time considerably! THANKS!!
Great video Craig cheers
thanks.. this just changed my life subbed !!
Your videos are very helpful, thank you.
Most welcome. I’m glad you are finding them useful
Awesome! 👏👏👏 , Can you do tutorial to explain us how can we assign Drum from Groove Agent to MIDI Controller PADs, also, is it possible to assign Chord on MIDI PAD?
High Craig, what are the previous 2 videos named I can see to locate cheers Nick
great video,,, have you tried doing this same thing (controlling arranger events with your pads) with the newer lower zone remote setup as opposed to the studio legacy setup?
C LABS Notator Built right into Cubase !! Arranger track great for micro loops like stutter edit
Haha. Maybe that’s what made me put on the Atari hoodie today!
Used to have Cubase on the old Atari. Been using Fl studio, Abelton and now truing Bitwig. But you have really opened my eyes. I love experimental music and love glitch, granular music. Mostly sampled based. Is there anychance you could do a viideoiin that genre please.
I'd there any way to play cubasis live?
Craig, a great tutorialisium. Learned a lot on this on. I don't know what the part is for so I hope you get your answer. Alfa Rave Dave. Version 12 is for free when you buy at cubase now. Prob small update.
Thanks David. Glad you are still learning things from these uploads mate!
Is there a way to export these arrangements?
Nice. I just made the jump to Bitwig from Cubase this week. Will still keep my cubase license as it has its strengths over Bitwig in certain areas, like ARA2, mixer snapshots, but for sound design & electronic production workflows, Bitwig is light years ahead of cubase.
I played about with the beta version of Bitwig way back when. It was a whole lotta fun for sure. I have made tracks in pretty much every DAW but there is something about Cubase that just feels… not sure what the right word is… luxurious(?!?!) compared to everything else 😂
@@Tutorial_ism yeah I know what you mean. Cubase is definitely a mature DAW with a lot of capability for almost any workflow you can throw at it. With sound design though, there’s nothing that even comes close to Bitwig. There’s no need to use a synth’s stock filters or FX at all anymore. Not when I can play say Zebra HZ or Serum’s oscillators through Fabfilter Volcano 3, iZotope trash & a Valhalla reverb all being modulated with the same LFOs & envelopes as the synth.
It’s just so insane how deep you can go with modulation. The entire DAW can be played like a synth, with your own personal dream synth FX chain comprised of all your fave plugins.
Almost every soft synth has a weakness somewhere. Phaseplant has weak filters & no arpeggiator. Serum has very basic FM capability & overused FX. All of these problems go right out the window when you can mix and match any distortion, filter or FX, from your plugin library, in multiband or not & modulate it all like they were FX in the same synth. It makes tasks that would take hours with automation lanes in cubase take a few seconds.
You can even modulate between entire instruments or VST FX, using the instrument or FX switcher. It’s so far beyond even Ableton’s capability, let alone Cubase. The new note repeats in 4.1 take things to a whole other level
don´t think so. ^^ I came from Bitwig. Cubase is also absolutely great for EDM. I do a LOT VSTi Sounddesign and so on with Cubase. But ok, I´m not a fan of "random clip modulation daws" like Abeleton/Bitwig. ;)
Challenging Ableton
Yeah. Sometimes it is fun to work non-linear!
good but it is not really all about the arranger track, because someone can use the cubase project for live playing (means with the band not electronical bullshit), and each section represents one song, so you dont want to be repeating those sections, you want each song to be played once... and you should show for example how to create a setlist from this and so on
Thanks for clearing that up. I will now know what to do next time!
