Thanks Dom for the alt- p shortcut.😀 It saved me a ton of time when I had to solo all my tracks to set up the volume with a VU meter using peak as a final guide. The fact that the tracks keeps playing and you can alter the gain on the wav file on the fly is awesome and super time saving. I used to have keep clicking back to the start of a track and hit play previously. 😟

Way back in Cubase 1.0 it was possible to record using a repeat cycle and press a single key to undo the last cycle if it was bad. It was a really fast way of building up a part. I can't find this option or key command in Cubase 13. The closest I've found in Cubase 13 is a repeat cycle using Record (*) to be pressed every time I want to keep a good cycle, and undo (Ctrl Z) if I want to delete a bad cycle, before pressing Record (*) again for the next cycle. Do you know how to do this quick undo in Cubase 13?
You saved my night, I was trying to export audio but the cicle time was orange instead purple, when I did the Alt + P thing it came back again purple, first it was asking me to select L and R channel to export and I had all selected in gray, and also in orange instead purple
How can i jump from one selected loop to the other selected loop so smoothly during live performance? Please suggest. I elaborate my question here that If i like to play one loop of 16 Bar then after that loop, i want to jump to the other loop at the different location in the same cubase project. I think i can do it using a Markers. But using markers may disturb the BPM. So how to toogle it? please suggest.. Thanks
When I solo let's say a bass track for example during the cycle loop playback I hear a click pop sound at the end and beginning of the loop. I've notice this on other audio tracks as well. Note this does not happen on a midi track. Can not figure out why this is happening Cubase Pro 12 Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks. 🤔

@@DomSigalas Took ages to find what I needed, it’s the Comp tool I meant. Found super old tutorials, so need something fresh, including shortcuts to speed up workflow, edit the cuts (fade in/out + X feed) and how to delete the takes not longer needed, backup for future ?
Nice Quick-Tip. The Command "P" I know it before, but not "Alt+P" - but I have changed this command immediately because I can't touch this command with one hand, now with "ALT GR + P" I can touch this with one hand.

I turned on cubase tonight and it won"t playback any audio unless the loop function is pressed. It plays what is between thee locators, but, it is not often it is not playing the part of the audio event it is moving over! does anyone know what could be wrong here? any advice would be appreciated.
I wish this worked for me, but it doesn't. Maybe I'm missing something...☹If I hit P it just selects the entire track, no matter what bars I highlight.
Hello am from Kenya I use Cubase 10.5 and hearing the metronome click has been the issue even after activating it everywhere....how can I configure this please.. Am a big fan of Dom sigalas
@@Choirmusicaickyaanichoir I bet your Control Room is disabled. I highly recommend using CR - open audio connections menu (shortcut is F4) and then open Control Room tab & enable it. In the Control Room connections, make sure your audio is output to your sound card. Also, in the same Audio Connections window, switch to Outputs tab and disable ALL outputs. This setup will allow your sound to go through Control Room first and then to your speakers. Once you did these steps, close the F4 menu, and on your main Cubase project window, open the CR tab in the right pane. Your metronome settings will be next to the big red volume knob for CR. Just enable it there and you should be able to hear the sounds from the metronome. Enabling control room this way will also ensure you can hear all the samples and loops from Media Bay from the right pane as well. I hope this helps! I know it's confusing but if you get stuck try to follow my instructions step by step.

Are you having a problem of hearing the click everywhere, or NOT hearing it at all?
