When I say I love Angel lol I love Angel he asked all the questions. A lot of good information. 18:10 I started thinking that would make a nice Airbnb.
Thanks for this video Cartess! The time to buy is definitely NOW. Homes in my neighborhood in Cholul are selling for 1,000,000 MXP more than I paid 18 months ago. That, coupled with the fact that the dollar has lost value are reasons to move quickly if you plan to buy.
What is the inspection process? How do you know the build is good and up to code? Getting alot is definitely cheaper. But then you have to find a builder and deal with that B.S. Something already built may be easier.
I would like to buy land and build a pretty small home. Of course this wouldn’t be possible in a development but the cost would be awesome if you didn’t need a lot of space doing it like that.
I am always checking your channel out and you are always full of great information and entertainment.. I was born and raised and lived in south Louisiana most of my life.. I have retired and I'm moving permanently to the Philippines mostly because of my Filipino fiance and most Filipinos can speak English and the signs and most everything is in English.. I have been to Mexico several times and I've always loved it.. do you have renter's insurance and would it cover damage from a hurricane? If a cat 5 is coming towards where you are living now would you stay or would you leave? I am too old to deal with hurricanes and typhoons so if any are heading towards me I will be leaving temporarily.. I'm moving to the area of the Philippines that does not have many typhoon's but I will be watching the weather closely.. thanks for your videos👍👍🤗🍺🍻😁
Most folks don't keep renters insurance here... But I understand your frustration on hurricanes (i lived in florida for a minute). Houses here are made of concrete and most all of the homes on the coast are still standing many decades later.
Yes. There are some guidelines if you live near the border or live near the coast; but you have legitimate and legal options to own property in Mexico.
Those homes look nice, the prices aren't bad and it's cool that you can choose finishes for the last house. For my taste, both of those finished houses have the floor tiles as the surrounds in the showers, that I don't like. I wish I could live around there but the peninsula is too hot and humid for me.
Yes... The property values in this area are going to explode. It's said that costco, walmart and sam's club is opening up in the area (and folks won't have to drive all the way into Merida to shop at those places).
I love the double shower. My husband and I have to keep our eyes on each other LoL (He is 71.) However, I have concerns about ventilation, ac, and accessibility (room to room/hallways. It almost seems like a place meant for travelers, rather than people who want to make it home. I have my personal funds ready to buy the right property for us. I am also a veteran 💪🏽🪖
I LOVE those homes! I’d buy in a hot minute, except that Merida is not for me. Now if it was in a cooler climate… So many gringos seem to be in love with Ajijic but those areas just haven’t caught on with me yet.
Depends where u live ...if you're in the more known expat areas, yes, it's expensive. I. just moved into a huge house, brand new, in conkal for $750/mo with pool and tons of yard space... I just placed someone in a house the other day for $350/mo. It's very affordable and cheaper if you take the time to find the right place.
I can get 2 to 10 acres in the US for 40,000. which is far cheaper than what you are buying and I get emerances services. If you are moving to Mexico stop paying more for homes than in the US. I understand that some places in the US are expensive but most of the US is cheaper than Mexico. Why pay more for less.
My friend as some who has owned houses and land in all of North America the beautiful thing about Mexico is for the price of just the “PERMITS” in Canada or USA you can buy your lot free and clear as well the property taxes in Mexico are like 80 bucks a year for something that would be 10000 a year in the states or Canada seriously. So you never owned nothing for real and the second you don’t pay your property taxes they will take your house. And taxes and upkeep eat away at any profit you think you’re going to make. People leave the states for Freedom ironic I know but the American Dream is alive and well…in Mexico and other “third world nations”
@@stickolascage2936 Not true. I spend a fraction of what you are saying and have more land and a larger home with emergance service within speed time. It all depends where you are at in the USA.
I would love it if Angel would do another video with you explaining how to find the right builder. And will that builder be on site to make sure his crew shows up and doesn’t cut corners? It seems everyone I know that builds says it takes at least a year. Often they over promise and under deliver ‘ I hear.’ I love how Angel holds their feet to the fire when he is asking direct questions to get the accurate information. I am so scared to get into a build situation afraid things won’t get finished on time, if at all. I guess I’m asking how do you protect your investment? Plus we are older and we just need to get settled. Regarding the flooring and finishes in the first house. Yes those floors are very popular right now. In 5 years they could be very dated. Just my opinion. Thanks for another fantastic video Cartess. 👏

That first house was lovely and just the right size for me.😊 but a car would be a must living there.

Now is definitely the time. I could kick myself for not being ready!
A lot of great information here. Thank you Mr. Ross for the work you do.
Thank u for watching

Definitely will require patience to build. I have NOT met a single soul where it was done on-time nor done without headaches and serious frustrations.
A lot of good information thank you guys.
Our pleasure!

i definitely know land is cheaper out of those developments for sure
I didn’t think that Americans were allowed to purchase land in Mexico
@@azborderlands They can. Just a lot of misinformation out there.

Is there a way to find cheaper land? Like 20k?
Thanks again for sharing these informative videos😊
My pleasure 😊
Great information in the first video. Great price
Glad it was helpful!
@@MoveAbroadandThrive yes, still trying to catch up with you
Thank You. very helpful !!!
You're welcome!
Can you legally own property in Mexico?
Yes. There are some guidelines if you live near the border or live near the coast; but you have legitimate and legal options to own property in Mexico.
Very nice!
Cortez, have you seen the prices go up in different areas? Or have they been kind of stable?
Yes, costs have gone up but there are many pockets of the city where good deals can still be had
Do you have to enter those bedrooms from outside?
There is no interior hallway inside the house to access the bedrooms?
I just noticed that as well!!!!!
I was thinking the same; like, is that a hostel or something??
In the first one, yes... I think the 2nd one gave option to close it. I can't remember.
I love these new houses. I'm so angry at myself for not saving over the years.😢
It’s never too late

How come the bathrooms dont have vents for air circulation?.
On that last house, you have to go outside to get to the back master suite? Thats odd.
I have to go back and watch it
Yeah it's a weird set up for sure. I don't want to go out side to enter other parts of my home, but great prices and very clean look.
Wish city please?
What is Angel last name in Conkal Mexico?
I don't want to put all his personal details on the web jejeeje

The heat can't be downplayed. It's a real thing here for sure!
OH ya that's bull. I have lived there. Better check it out. When you get done. It's about the same as the USA.

Mexico. Where ?
In a city called Conkal (10 minutes from Merida, Yucatan)

at 24:34, Angel talks about the price of the vacant lot for sale. Do you know how to contact the seller?
