I was riding home from work one day on my 80cc Cranbrook , when I got taught a very important lesson on these bikes. I had added a back carrier above the back wheel which is where I would put my lunch box at. Well on the day in question going at about 30mph the rachet strap I had holding the lunchbox in place had came loose and and the hook got pulled into the spokes locking the back wheel up immediately. I slid for about 30 -40 ft before the bike came to a stop. It did quite a bit of damage to fender, chain gaurds, along with destroying the tire and tube. There was about a 3 inch hole rubbed through the tire. Moral of the story use a milk crate or something to carry stuff in cause straps are and accident waiting to happen. Would of been a very long walk had my wife not been able to go get me.
I feel the same away about front fenders on motorized bicycle I had one send me over the handle bars going about 40mph when the fender got sucked between the tire and the fork
I dunno why people just don't DYI one,, not hard to do,, Remove the factory pins replace with threaded studs, add a few springs on nuts and bingo you got a stronger clutch pad pressure by using the original internals
Best part is looks, for me that is. I think it looks really cool.best part of video is Darcy is super helpful and deep in the community.thats all true as far I can see. However I still can't wait to hear you know who, complain about......... Well everything you just said. Lol. Nice review. Thanks for sharing.
3:54 I think a short motorcycle clutch lever will make it even better. Some have an adjustable pull ratio so you can pull the clutch using only one finger.
On the subject of wearing loose clothing: I had a crash caused by my loose carhartt pants getting caught on the acorn nut on the clutch bar on the motor and i couldnt put my foot down (i was trying to start the bike) but ive never got caught in the chain or any other movjng part. So be watchful of loose clothing for sure.
Looks like it'd be fairly easy to make a see thru clutch cover using some aluminum & polycarbonate . If heat was an issue you could drill some vent holes in the polycarbonate window. It'd look good and keep anything from getting caught in it.
I recommend a clutch assist you can get on eBay. It goes in line with the clutch cable and uses Leverage there for dirt bikes but if you slightly alter them they work on the bikes I have one of mine cuz I have a heavy duty clutch spring and it was very difficult I put that part on and it's smooth as butter I can use two fingers where is before I had to squeeze really hard and I have carpal tunnel so that help
which video is best to see how you grease and tune a motor straight out of the box? i know you grease inside the bevel gear the bearing and the teeth inside the crankcase, but any thing else?
Well, I blame you and Johnny's motorized bikes for my now growing collection of builds/nevergonnabedone/ventmaterial/jarogrins/kidgiggles so....thanks I now have a 100cc monster hillclimber and a conglomeration o parts 66cc with two base gaskets, no head gasket inset head, and 3cc added to the dome, and it pulls hard. Even taking it easy, lol.cheers

The suspicious part of the story is that you have a wife? 😂😂

You are correct, I have alot of customers with motercycle clutch levers and they reported how much easier it was
I was looking into them. Not a bad idea.

Thanks for the heads up!
Great video and information....I'm buying a new engine and upgrade the clutch this summer...!!!!
Thinking about buying a new bike frame also..
Can you try a hydraulic clutch lever as I’m thinking that would help quite a bit
I use to mod it to super small clutch socket, long distance speed

Love the idea!

Thanks Alex!
What kind of handlebar are those ... They look like they are connected to the tripletree up tubes ????
They’re typical beach cruiser bars cut in half and mounted on F-Zero forks sold at bikeberry.

@@LAHover how is it in comparison to a wc80 or a mz clone? Is it a low-mid or high end orientation?
Is it ok to engine break for a few kms? On a80 engine?
Not good; no oil going into the engine like that
No, you can oil starve the motor.
Oh goodness and it's a minerelli 😂 I can't wait
That bike seems to be on "hit"!💪😎🏁 Good video, And yes great clutch,👍🏁😎💪✌️
