    ughh never use a "Dingle berry hone" on a 2-cycle engine you need to use a 3 arm adjustable hone as they use a stone similar to a knife shaperner for the abrasion

    • @bryduhbikeguy
      @bryduhbikeguy 2 роки тому +2

      Yes.They do make for a more consistant cylinder size.'Dangle-ball'honing is for an already standard sized cylinder,and just used for cross-hatching.His cylinder just needed that though,as it was hardly run,and no ring broke.(he also said he didn't plan to keep using this).Great call though.I'm going to hone my 'steel cylinder'before use too.I don't see Any cross-hatching.They just punch them in.

    That's a good video Hoover I'm surprised I really do want an endurance ride I never got my bike to do 54 mph consistently it only does it for about 30 seconds and it will seize up so I know after I pass about 50 let go of the throttle within 10 seconds and go a little bit lower RPMs and tap the gas two strokes like it when you feed it gas by opening and closing throttle but either way I'm glad you fix that idling problem who would have known it was the CDI but your theory is very ideologic so keep it up I want you to improve help others and who knows you might help me on the way keep it up I'm currently working on my short rod 40 mm just testing Waters pretty much it's done but I'm just waiting on a nice bike

    I bet that motor will just run all day now because of the "extra" clearance you gave it. It does sound down on power but it sounds like it's still happy so to speak. Did you catch the temperature of the cylinder with the new clearance it has. I'm interested now if it will run a long time like that without seizures. I just got a feeling like it make a good beater motor now and still pull decent speed all day. Thanks for posting.

    The 'ring-gap' was interesting.I've seen smaller on turbo 4-cylinders.I let 'molybdenum grease'set into the cylinders,pistons and rings, etc. for 3-4 days before wiping the excess as it soaks into the metals.I've never seen the scoring on a cylinder walls and piston skirts with that much slop in the ring gaps,in any car engine either.Was the 'wrist-pin'too small for the roller-bearing?I can't see the piston expanding enough to score itself.Great video LA.The short cylinder is why the shorter stroke piston.The huge aluminum head and the standard crankcase won't heat the same,so I'm glad you did a much longer warming ride.I guess they just need More Oil in the Mix.?.

    There is a company named 'Tech line Coatings' which sells a dry film lubricant called 'PowerKote DFL-1' which is relatively easy to apply.
    Lightly sand blast the skirt, or sand it if you don't have a sand blaster, spray it on, (you'll need a small paint gun) let it dry, then bake it in a small oven outside at 300° for an hour. (Assuming you have an air compressor)
    It works very well reduces friction and may help.
    It can be applied to any moving surface in the engine.
    It SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the level of oil needed on any surface. In fact, it needs almost no oil at all.
    It greatly reduces or even eliminates scuffing and will easily last longer than the engine.
    It can even be used on the clutch parts and would increase the life of the components probably until Jesus returns.
    You CANNOT bake it inside the house because of the fumes, you must use a small $30 oven and cannot ever use the oven for food again.

    Its probably a bad seal some where, in germany we use brake cleaner and spray it on every seal there is and listen for the rpm to rise, youll need to hold the gas very steady when doing this or you wont get it. Idk but you guys in the states really need some tips and advice sometimes but atleast you got a tuning scene over there, which we dont and parts are so extremely rare or need to be imported (tuning)
