I bought a 4.4 v8 2003 with only 113K miles in Giverny Green this summer and it didn't have the rear jacking points so it failed the MOT, I did not know this when buying as it was not described but hasn't put me off as it was spare or repair anyway. I always wanted a RR and a V8 to supplement my aging Disco3. The first thing I did was have the side steps cut off, good move I think to prevent return of rot. I managed to find salvaged rear sections both sides and two amazing experts, split down the skins of the rear sections and cut out the rot and welded in the pieces they needed now just waiting for the next summer to get painted, it now has an MOT and running again. I am following you to see how you make progress with yours.
Great video. My first job with any new car is to get it down to the jet wash and clean in all the areas previous owners missed. Also allows you to see leaks and rust spots. Admire you for taking on an old L322. Lovely and not the nightmares everyone tends to think they are. Watching with interest.
Cheers! I think I avoided washing it because I almost didn't want to uncover anything else. The early to-do list was long enough. L322s are great buys if you're brave with the spanners. They do need rolling maintenance and bringing them to the garage a few times a year gets expensive.
Hi Connor, the UA-cams recommended your channel to me. Im from South Africa, and I just bought, today a L322 2003 Vogue. Nonrunner! lol Looking forward to your channel!!! (Paid equivalent of 850 pounds too)
Thanks for the note, Joe (?). The one issue you're unlikely to have is rusty wheelarches so at least that's one job you won't have to worry about. Is it a 4.4 V8 too?
@noelcahill6707 Jesus, Noel. Most people can barely place which continent I'm from. Glanmire, so not "North Cork" as defined by the natives, but yes... nart Cark!

Nice work Connor, great to see you back on UA-cam.
Nice to be back. Haven't had much on since I put the L322 on the road so it's nice to revisit the story

@ yeah 4.4 Vogue in green. At the mechanics now but l can’t wait and your videos help make the wait a little easier 💪
Never crawl around under a vehicle with air suspension without having jacks in place. Ask me how I know. 😮
How do you know😮
Haha. I found that out too (eventually)...
Is that a cork accent
It is, like - good spot! I haven't lived in the people's republic in 20 years, though.
