- After our hands-on Dragon's Dogma 2 gameplay session we had the chance to see the Mystic Spearhand and Magik Archer Vocation in action. Here's a sampling of our Dragon's Dogma 2 PS5 gameplay from the preview event.

The fact it actually shows you what your level up gives you is a godsend
But we still can't allocate the points ourselves? I'm fine with that, just want to know.
@@frozenstar8050 pretty sure you can't. However, in the first game, what vocation you were when you leveled up affected how your stats grew.
Reminds me of solo leveling
You can change vocation and that changes your stats (the opposite of the first game were leveling gave you those classes stats for every characterlevel you were in said class), no more carefully leveling in order to get the stats you wanted. This also makes it easier to just switch your playstyle up completely@@frozenstar8050 .

So Magick Archer has no melee at all? I'm curious what hybrids the Thief has, using magic attacks with the daggers was the most enjoyable part of the MA class in the first game for me.
Seems they took away melee attack from ranged classes. Striders were pretty powerful in DD1. And yes, a MA with Immolation and some nice daggers was very fun.
There are only ten vocations at launch thief doesn't have any hybrid or advanced classes.

Last game tthe gryphon boss fight was so fun the final stage was crazy far away lol but worth the journey

The Griffin's wings are insanely detailed. This game is absolutely gorgeous

They're keeping the other monsters out of sight for a reason, no doubt.
Like we know there's a Medusa boss but so far no gameplay of it's been shown. We haven't seen Hydras, Evil Eyes, Eliminators, or any monsters from DDO for that matter.

Doesn't really matter but bow classes were pretty fun with mouse aim in DD1.
Controller feel way better than KBM for me
Personal preference. Some people are comfortable with controllers while some prefer KBM.

The clinging and attacking combat in DD is what I'd hoped it be like in The Witcher 3. So hyped for this game!

capping it at 30 fps is only going to make things worse. you will get 30 fps or lower. uncapped will allow you to have smooth gameplay from time to time. anyways after seeing this video ill be picking this up on my pc with my rtx 4080 in it.

Digital Foundry says the game runs at sub-30 FPS on PS5 right now and there is no performance mode. Pretty disappointing.

30 fps at 4k you can lower the resolution and video settings should be available on release.
It isn’t the final build of the game and optimization is one of the final things devs do

@@milosandrejic3996 from what we have seen so far, it looks like the fps fluctuates between 26-33. Of course, we have seen early builds of the game, so it could be different in the final release.

Magic lancer looks awesome visually and gameplay wise but either the monsters are supposed to be damage sponges or the class does very little damage
The Griffin is weak to fire but the guy playing always had a frost buff on his spear. So, yeah, if you don't exploit the enemies weakness or even use an element they're probably rather resistant to it will make a difference it seems.
If you look at the enemies health bar you can see that it has “multiple stages” to its health. He’s probably under leveled or not hitting the weak spots
If it's anything like the first game the bosses can take 20-30 minutes to kill sometimes lol especially if you're under leveled. Idk how far in the game they were for this gameplay but the bosses seem like they're going down pretty quickly in comparison

It’s the RE Engine. Every RE Engine game runs flawlessly on pc.
