Freakin awesome man! You should try to map out some outlets along the way, I want to try to do a ride from Sac to LA and maybe SD, on my Huck cycle. I plan on fitting a 72V 75amp hr in it along with my 72V 50amp hour in the back. Of course I plan on camping on the side of the Hwy and hopefully charge up while then. Let me know if you ever want to do some long runs. I usually ride around Lake Berryessa, Lake Oroville, Lake Tahoe, Mendocino, Rio Vista and other side roads.

60v 60aH, sorry at the time chi only had one gladiator so I didn't mention it. I have a bac4000 which is both more efficient than stock but also allows you to limit the power to very low levels (1.2kW in this video).

Now I learned the 72v would conserve energy better... I Bet you can get 100 miles on the 60v 70ah Chi. if you kept it at 25mph. My ride was on a rode and not much of inclines or declines in elevation. Plus I had stock tires and a belt drive. So there alot that you can to to max your range.. I'm still learning these bikes... I think I had my stock controller and motor still on.... I've think I put the Ko-Motor/Controller RS Combo on after I did that run. And I'm up near Canada so the low temps have limited my range these past 2 1/2 months.. But KO should have there battery out in a month or 2 and I wanna say it'll be around $1800 usd plus shipping. But the Price hasn't been set yet.. I've saw the new Chi v2 batts... But alot of people are tearing these batteries open to put better wiring in them... And then your stock wire harness can't handle more than 300 amps.. And some people are having there stock wires melt in the bike.. Same with the connectors.. I think people are attaching like 2 QS4 connectors(I might have the name wrong). But This is mainly for people who put the after market controllers on... Not Stock controllers.. . After 6 or 7 months my chi 60v battery only charges upto like 65.6v not the (I wanna say) 67.1,v when I first got it... I actually had the stock battery strapped under my seat when I made that run... I had to use it when I was around 5 miles from my house... I didn't want to run under 10%.. I think my total ride was 90 or 93 miles.. My bad if I might have went off subject...

sounds like bad throttle. The throttle essential works as a potentiometer, it's provided 3.6v and it returns 0.8-3.6v depending on how open it is. it's likely your throttle is shorting itself and returning the full 3.6v regardless of position
