Are conversion kits easy to install?
I like it when the controller is integrated into the battery mount. I wish more kits did this.

You inspired me to do a build myself. The bike, a Schwinn Dual Sport bike, 700C. I bought a CSC kit, perhaps it's not as good as the Kirby or other high end kits but I did it on a budget. It has the huge controller and bag, boo, but I think it came out nice. It's winter here and I got a break and took it out. I was impressed with the 1500 watt kit. I scream up a grade with lots of power. I got it on the level, and with a dragging break it hit 30mph and there was more, but figured it was best not to break the speed limit here. Looking forward to summer and taking my two E-bikes out for many adventures. Already thinking of next winter, thinking of another build. Can one have too many toys, I think not...

If anyone needs reassuring that ebikes are "worth it" ...I have a suggestion that may help ease the mind a bit. Go attempt to find used ebikes in your local area. I'm willing to bet the market has less variety than you counted on. And the reason for that is simple.. basically no one ever gets rid of their ebikes. Given that they are pretty easy to flip and get at least half your money back if needed, the knowledge that people rarely get rid of their bikes suggests that people must LOVE THEM 💪
I’ve wanted a 1000-1500w gearless rear motor and to make up for a slight lack of starting torque, a small 2 speed 350w front Xiongda motor. I’d use the front motor for take off’s and hill climbing, the rest of the time It’d be the silent beast.
I dont know if its motor or controller specific but some dont give all the torque they have a few seconds delay thats programming related and it hinders up-hill with motor alone

good build Steve , looks clean with cables in controller bag, do you think the controller will get hot in that case?
Only hooned it for an hour no issues. Mount it external if you're worried or I imagine it's covered under warranty if they're any issues from non user fault. Always a good idea to feel the temps of all controllers to get an idea how got they get under constant load.

I love my 1000W DIY ebike. It’s not as fast as others but 28 MPH is good for me and I have fun.

6:25 ahhh very nice , i had to install my new battery in reverse on my bike frame because the rivnuts dont align, i think i got the exact same battery casing for my 20ah ,and yeah that base's holes are in a very different place to my old holder

@@mozzjones6943 i'm absolutely ripping through the streets on mine, hits nearly 35mph with a 52v battery. i suspect i could get even more with a better controller but it goes faster than i want to go usually anyway.
After my hip replacement this is just what I need … no pedalling for me 👍🏼

hiya i have the 1000w kit and the torque and alleration are no where near what you are getting I had to send it back because of a faulty magnet in the motor I am just wondering why it just has no torque

But those slots that the bolts go into on that adapter is for Hose Clamps to help alleviate stress on the bolt taps in the frame.
Thank you 😊 we call them jubilee clips in UK and I mentioned that in the video I wouldn't fit them just for the fact it didn't look good, holds great as is and looks neater

13 amps battery is so anno 2014, i bought 3 years ago 17 ah triangle battery from Em3ev and i have now 12 ah left of it.
What you can do is use a traingle battery pack with traingle battery and the problem is solved :)
I am sure that motor can handle more power without breaking it, and yes its very quite i love it.

Depends on the NM or torque rating. Do not be fooled if you see a road cycler pass you up over 24mph, they now sporting them on their roadbikers of motor in crankcase under sprocket or the pedals. They dress the part and into the new fad but stick to the crankcase motors of being discreet.

i have a shwin marshal ped assit 250w bafang motor i have allmost 1500miles on it and prity beet up no chain any more no brakes i hit 20 mph with just electric when my ped assist worked i would hit 30mils hr how i killed mu brakes so fast fast quick stops .....need get it fixed back up lol and need faster bike i need 40-50mils hr to be honest

@Dius765RS for me it's been anything from a day or 2 to a week, I've ordered so many on rare occasions they fk around customs at docks and delay for random checks buy that's rarer

Yes, it's worth it. It has good acceleration and fast enough to keep with up with street traffic (35mph+). You can't ride the highway anyway and bicycles are not stable for prolonged high speeds..
ive thought of making my own with a bigger gear at back sprocket i want to do 40mph and it just be for traveling 8 blocks

You can ues 52v 20amp with 1000wat watt motor it's the controller 32amp ice got 2000wat kit came with that controller 52v 20amp battery 35mph now I used 45amp controller 43mph. I bought fat tyre bike with long seat 750wat is it worth going to 1000wat 52v 20amp battery it's the controller I'm not sure of. I no 1000wat motor is OK with 52v 20amp it makes it faster over 30mph it's using controller I've got spare 35amp.+2amp controller

You should be able to do between 31 to 34 miles with throttle only .

We've been doing fine with 350 w.... I think this thousand watt stuff is just advertisement bulshit.
I opted for a 1000 over a 1500 as the slow speed will give you more range, plus most roads where I live are 30mph speed limit anyway
Typically 1000w kits come with smaller amp hour batteries maybe 13 or 15 so in my experience not necessarily true most 1500w kits have a 17.5 or 20ah battery. But for me personally any ebike has enough range just to get out and about for a bit.

hi mate ...is it a real pain to fix a puncture out on the road .the reason i ask is because it takes a lot of effort to get the new wheel in .... i was thinking of getting a front hub one as it could probably easier to take the wheel off ... thoughts ?

Can be a little tight on back wheel 2000w lower power hubs usually hands a smaller width for the dropout.
If I was concerned I'd carry a socket for the back wheel and always undo the toque arm from the nut and bolt rather than the clip itself. I don't often get punctures on ebikes
What is the weight diffrence to a 2000w?
You can run 2kw through a 1kw motor and it'll be fine provided its not getting its ass kicked on full power constantly. Weight is negligible. You need a battery capable of providing wkw though. So say 52v x 40a controller = 2,080 kw

I upgraded my moscow with a 1500w motor, 45a sabvoton and 60v 20ah. Its now 10x the original power 😂

How long does battery last?
When charging my ebike do I take it off charge when the display is fully charged or when the battery turns from red to green or dosnt it matter ??
Charger will be more accurate or will show full bars on display at under 100% so wait till green on charger

I got a used one for 500 quid that only had 100 miles done on it. It's okay for nipping around my local area.

@@girlsdrinkfeck not sure about warranty but it's a fantastic ebike for the low price I paid for it. Me and my brother use it for just doing quick trips around town and it's absolutely fine for that. Anything longer like my work commute I do on my 1000w ebike. Halfords do charge too much though and they lose a fuck ton of value on the used market.
I paid less than that for an Ceaya RX80. I cycled it up pontardulais mountain about 12mph whereas on a push bike its get off and walk time. Downhill no power needed I applied brakes over 25mph as that was fast enough. I note it comes with a torque arm. motor is 1000w not sure if that is peak or sustained. (legally a big difference) the 95nm of torque is definitely awesome. throttle is disconnected not sure if physically or locked from the display and the default speed is 25kmh but can be unlocked so it seems. it uses an s2 display so I got hold of a manual for that to tweak things.
My 500w kirby hub kit goes 35mph so a1000w hub kit should do at least 40 at its top end!!!!!

I bought a nice hybrid bike = Vitus but due to health problems it's painful to ride because of the amount of effort going up hill. Kills me straight so I got a 500w 48v kit with a triangle 20 ah battery because I don't trust the bottle holder bolts. Hopefully it will work well and last well.
I'm more impressed with a 26x4.0 fat tire e bike I got from amazon!😆lol...1000w, 48v, 15.6ah, 748.8wh, 30°, 75nm, 31mph top speed with out pedaling .only thing that I didn't like where the brakes, for something that big and fast I feel they should have bin Hydraulic brakes......but...BUT best part iI forgot to mention was the price NEW $680 to my front door after taxes delivery and all. Had it 1month (no more than 2) I've put 300+ miles into it no problems probably 200+ of them miles pulling 2 kids buke don't feel over loaded and have reached speeds of 27mph pulling them(will go faster) With just throttle.i would like to compare it to more expensive ones to see if it's really worth spending the $1500+ extra

With a 1000wat kit upgrade controller and battery 32mph even more some people put a 52V 20amp battery on a 1000wat motor and it moves like stink. I've got 2000wat that does 51mph wich I'm selling for fat tyre 1000wat 48v 20amp from amazon and see how it goes it the 20ins wheel and long seat I'm after comfort now it has suspension all round so I'm going to up grade to 32mph that will do me I'm getting older I've had the 200wat bike kit for three years I've been next to police cars in traffic and nothing said even looked at the bike because I've got my bike as normal as possible and ride at 17mph they can't do nothing if using throttle at high speed then some will stop you. The law should be 30mph the government excuse to make money cars should be banned and ebikes legal people would be fitter air would be cleaner like in China mostly bikes or India and Holland
