How do panners work?

When doing a surround mix you still need to make a stereo version. Here is some info on the issues you might run into.

wow an actual useful video about surround! I have been writing some 7.1.4 tracks to play around with Atmos production. IMO only the upscaling is useful. This seems born out by the seperate 2.0 versions seem to be uploaded to streaming platforms.
