We 100,000% need a boss rush DLC with unlockable outfits kinda like Sekiro. Would really like to fight Nameless Puppet, Simon Manus and Laxasia again without having to do an entire play though just to fight them 1 time.
Yeah, I wish there is an option to at least refight bosses after you defeat them instead of having to replay the whole game just to get a chance to fight your fav boss again, the basins outside which we use to summon specters should also have the option to create a fake copies of the bosses for us to fight as many times as we want (with slightly reduced rewards)
That end credits cut scene is amazing! Excited to see what they do with Wizard of Oz. Maybe Dorothy comes to Krat in a dlc and sets up her character for maybe a new game being set in the wizard of oz.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with a well designed linear game, the game as a whole was linear but each level looped on itself in interesting ways and had branching pathways and secrets (most people got lost in the Lorenzini Arcades). If anything that increased replayability for me (already on my 4th playthrough), meanwhile games like Elden Ring felt like a unbelievable magical journey the first time around but replaying it felt like an absolute chore due to how massive and open it is. That said I don't mind if they add few optional small side areas, the game already had one, it's the Hermit's Cave in the Barren Swamp area. As for weapons, the game has a ton of varied weapons with few even having hidden quirks and mechanics that aren't clear until you equip the weapon and use it. And yeah the Legion Arms (and all the different throwables) are the game's equivalent for magic/spells, there is no need to add a magic system on top of that in the current game, unless we play as a different fable character in the DLC/Sequel and it makes sense for them to use ergo for magical spells since they won't have access to the Legion Arm.
With the way the game is designed with its humanity mechanic, being able to explore later areas before you’re supposed to would mess with it and break the system.
Isn't there an inactive lantern at some point that people have datamined to being possibly linked to future DLC? My guess is they do it typical fromsoft style and have lantern teleport to DLC at certain point, as opposed to it being organically connected to pre-existing areas. Since the latter is a lot harder to do. I don't think we'll see what you suggested unless they make a Lies of P 2. I see that as being the main thing they would improve upon in a sequel, since the game's linear progression is arguably its weakest point. I don't see them doing it for a game they already released, even as DLC, as the increased effort vs. how many people would actually enjoy it (most people don't play games more than once) makes it not worth it from a developmental perspective. It would be a cool way to do DLC though.
This game is the best and if the dlc does come out or announced, I wonder the end credits will connected with who is the girl. and how she will fit in the sequel?.
I have a theory of which Fairytale Characters could be the Scarecrow & Cowardly Lion: Rumpelstiltskin = The Scarecrow (Maybe they can translate the Scarecrow's lack of a brain as him being an amnesiac character who forgot why they we're punished via crucifixion or something as well as their own name. And then when he gets his memories back, we learn his true name, Rumpelstiltskin.) The Beast from "Beauty & The Beast = The Cowardly Lion (He could've been this prince that was punished for his sinful pride by the Enchantress by being cursed into becoming a Were-Lion. And now his greatest fear is himself & what others would think of him.)

My theory is that they will never make a sequel to lies of p but instead every dlc released will be about a different character. Such as Dorothy.
I would hate this, I want more games and DLCs
They confirmed they are making a sequel

There is, in a small gravesite right by the 'Path of the Pilgrim' stargazer. There is a green, deactivated stargazer there.
Linearity isn't a problem at all if the levels themselves are well designed, and they are here.

That's Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, you can even see The Wizard of Oz book on the table in the cutscene before the girl shows up.
If the speculations that P/Pinocchio is the tin man. Then maybe we will get dlc based on the cowardly lion and the scarecrow?

@@chancehanlin2747 I was honestly comparing the cowardly lion to Puss in Boots in this scenario but your idea is good to lol
You do realize how small the studio is right? Why are you expecting FromSoft type numbers and Elden Ring type budget?
You do realise how good this game is right? It's literally FromSoft quality. I would not be surprised if the DLC is just as high quality
Lol so if they are small studio and small budget they kinda did better job than elden ring with big budget
if this game had fromsoft in it yall will D ride so hard
