Thanks for this video! Could you please suggest bodyweight only exercises to strengthen elbow and surrounding muscles other than the pushup variation shown in the video?
if you do not have the strength to do a few push ups, increasing the elevation from where you push up will reduce the difficulty. find an elevation that suits you. you can do bench dips aswell but its an exercise people usually perform incorrectly. i'll be doing a video around those movements also soon
@@AlphaLeeFitness Thanks a lot for the reply! I can do around 20-30 push ups per set. I usually do 5 sets of 20 reps. I'm trying to aim for endurance and greater rep ranges for testing purposes, but I sometimes get elbow pain which lasts for a few days and then goes away. I wonder why. @@nuzla5161 tendons , ligaments take longer to recover and grow when compared to muscle. It could be that you have a recovery issue. Also make sure you don't hyperextend at the elbow when exercising.
The neural to pronated lying down tricep extensions with a light weight done two to 3 times a week for 2 to 3 sets where each set has a rep count which gradually builds over the wels d from 8 to 15 will be helpful in strengthening the muscles around the elbow joint.
you can use a pair of light dumbbells or even a water bottle.

Yeah, I too believe recovery is a bit of an issue with me as my rest periods are not consistent due to my schedule and I workout at home, cycle 20-30 km per week and also do martial arts. There are times I end up overextending unconsiously during practice.I will make sure to work on it too. Thanks a lot, Ayye!

most cases, no. first compound, then isolation. There are exceptions to this for instance, if you have a bit of elbow pain doing some isolation exercise to warm up that joint maybe a good idea.
