Sir me and my kiddos love watching your channel. We have been trying to buy some of your baits but haven't been able to. We had somebody steal all of are fishing stuff. Im a stay at home dad cause my wife has narcolepsy so i take care and help her with stuff. And we live on a monthly income so it is hard to get any fishing stuff lol. But my kiddos and i love watching you go and find baits we have tried it with no luck lol. But sir you are a truly inspiration to me and my family keep up the awesome work and till the next's one stay safe and GodBless you and your family.
Brendan, I have every one of those lures you used ,but I also have some Headon creek chubs, and older baits, some I have used some I have not because I do not want to lose them. A lot of my lures were bought in the 1970,s and 80,s they stillwork very well. thanks for bringing back a lot of memorys you heve great videos .
Great video!! I love the old school lures, they still and will always get the job done!!! The best part about using them today is when fishing them in highly pressured/public fishing ponds/lakes, most people don't use them anymore so even though they have been around forever, fish aren't used to seeing them as much as they see modern baits so I have found that they will get bit in highly pressured areas. I would add the inline spinner/rooster tail to this list, it never fails.
Brandon, I guess we all have our favorite Lewers I’m 72. I mean fission ever since I was 78 years old one of my favorite lowers is a little short rebel with a short deal about an inch and a half long caught more bass over that under all conditions, and my next favorite lure is the jitterbug and the best plastic worm I have ever used is the 4 inch black grape zoom worm yet might not catch the biggest bass what is surely will catch the most for me there’s nothing like a good day of fishing. Thanks for your videos.!!!!!😊
Dear Brendan, UA-cam must love your work. You were at the top of the suggested videos for me. Your talent is outstanding. Your delivery and your sense of humor are better than SNL. thank you for working so hard on your videos. It’s a lot of fun to watch you interact with other family members. Your movies were good and funny that I saw Elysian after seeing the remarkably green scenery around you and thinking you must be in the Mississippi River Valley.
Little Cleo’s are one of my favorites too. I’ve caught a lot of salmon and trout with them. I’ll switch to a kastmaster if it’s too windy but little Cleo’s are always my first choice.
Happy fishing Thursday Brendan my favorite fishing lures are the metal spoon and the soft plastic tubs from the 1980s and I also love the micro metal iron jigs
Brendon,I'm speaking on behalf of your carp catch and cook. If you catch another one comparable to the size of the one you cooked, try marinating it with your favorite seasonings. Then cook it on your grill with high heat as you would grill salmon or tuna. The seasonings and the smoke from the grill nutruelizes the eathy taste.Make your own dipping sauce and enjoy.
I haven’t watched you since you made the camp video of you and your brother catching your pb in the swamp I find it so funny you’re also fishing the pond I used to watch you teach your cousin how to fish there
Super cool to see your videos now as a man ,I’ve followed you since you were a young boy! You’ve ALWAYS put out great content. Love to see it thanks for the tips 👊
Great Content!... I'm an active angler looking to break into the lure business. This is very helpful and I would love to see all your other videos. Thanks Again, Westport Lures! :D
Don’t suppose you would ever want to do a video on Canadian lures like the Len Thompson daredevil spoon, the Canadian Wiggler or the Northland Tackle Mimic Minnow?
@@Francis-p3inot sure I remember the 60’s very well. I was a teenager fishing Lake Minnetonka from Grays Bay to Brackets Point. It seems there were double wires on the Mousey that I found by Carsons where there were lots of Lillies. I cut off the wires!
How do you go from the 1970’s to 2010???? You missed soooo much! Storms, Rebels, anything Fred Arbogast, poppers, crank baits, etc. You jumped right to the KVD but never touched on the baits that paved the way.
Awesome video but I have to disagree with Ohio being the greatest state, especially when it has as many problems with trophy catfish paylakes. That’s a big negative on Ohio.
The Rapala crankbait was actually created by a Finnish guy named toivo pylväläinen that taught the fonder of Rapala how to make it and got none of the credit
There are no historical records that prove those people even met let alone that he taught him. Toivo pylväläinen did however make wooden lures and Lauri Rapala most likely was inspired by his designs assuming he saw them.
Great video Brendan really cool to see the different designs of lures created over the years and how it has made a difference in fishing.👍

Awesome, awesome, awesome video Brendan, thanks for the tour through the history of these different baits, thoroughly enjoyed ,thanks for sharing 🎣🙂
Caught my pb bass on a yum dinger today, glad to see the rubber worm represented in this video, couldn’t agree more about it!!
My go to lures are the Eppinger red and white daredevle spoon and the yellow and black Panther Martin spinner.
Great video Brendan. I learned a lot from it, been fishing for 55 years but never knew half the stuff you threw out there today. Thanks Bro!
Great video. Used them all but the last one. Curly tail has my vote for the best. Thought you might include the Eppinger Daredevl spoon.
Yoooooo that opening and transition into the first lure was smoooooth

Yes! Another video! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
You have to be one of the most creative content creators on YT.👍
it’s great that you gave a shoutout to all of these lure inventors. 👍🏻
Good stuff man. Hello from Kentucky
Cool video. The rapala floater and the curly tail have claimed hundreds of fish for me thru the years 😎

Great concept for a video. Good job man, I really enjoyed hearing the history behind some of the baits I use. Thanks!
Enjoyed the history lesson!! Learned alot!! Keep up the good work!!
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the Whopper Plopper. It has been responsible for a lot of my fish catches over the last several years.
Whopper “Popper”?
@@rockdaddio69 itś made by River to Sea designed originally as a Musky lure.
Great seeing your videos again!!! Keep them coming!!!
I loved the overall style of the video and how it was set up. Keep doing what your doing💪🏾
another great vidoe brother!!
Love you Brendan!
Love to see these creative video ideas! That’s what Brendan Miller is all about!

Rapalas are, in my opinion the most important lure in my Tackle box..

Always a plus that you are a fellow Ohioan
You caught those giants crappies out that lost river was Awsome
Love your videos dude

I'm 57 love what you do,classic
The edits are insane. Great work Brendan. You're certainly a talented film maker.
did i miss the blade spinner ?, mepps black fury is my fave trout lure.
Mepps Aguila, single barb, red an black all day. The lucky lure.
Great video like always 😊 I did my first catch and cook yesterday
Great video! I really enjoyed it
I lost a phone, lost your subscription. Great to see you again, still at it😊
Great vid but I was expecting u to use antique lures lol
Great video Brendan. I agree with you Ohio is the best state in America from a fellow Ohioin
Another Amazing video 😊
Hello from Minnesota
This was a cool idea Brendan!
Awesome I'll have get these .
Surprised no classic top water. Spook, River Runt, Jitterbug.
I thought the same thing the jitterbug is a timeless classic
Thought for sure you were gonna use those new greecrack lures. If you haven’t already your should check them out 😉
When you make those videos where you go to knew remote places those are my favorite
love those curly tail grubs, i bet ive caught more on those than on everything else combined
In my tackle box I have some bass lures that my dad bought in the 50’s like the Lazy Ike.
Great video idea!!
You’re amazing
Awesome video!
I can't find the link you talked about to buy these lures. Figured I'd get me a Rapala and give back to you, too. I'll keep looking on another video.
nice video from alabama
Great video!
You can update the Johnson silver minner by put a soft plastic trailer on it
Another great video
COOL 😎
Excellent video Brother
Why aren’t you’re Signature series lures available to purchase from Upscale anymore
Underwater footage was sweet to!
I used to watch you growing up bro!
I don't see any Brendan Miller lures available at Upscale Lures anymore. Is there another place that they can be bought?
I caught my best bass last year, throwing a stupid tube👀 but so far this year my biggest was on a spy bait (always a favorite for me)
Don’t suppose you would ever want to do a video on Canadian lures like the Len Thompson daredevil spoon, the Canadian Wiggler or the Northland Tackle Mimic Minnow?
Classics! Most of those are all still standards in each of my fishing bags!
The 3.5 inch silver or gold Rapala " Raaa-Paul- A " prob best lure ever made.... followed by the 6" plastic worm.
look it up, he pronounced Rapala correctly in the video. ra-puh-luh
Still waiting for a follow up to the dirty lake Carp video? 😊
Great Vid, where you been?
Was sad you didn't give the Big O a few seconds. But in all great video ++
Acadian flycatcher sings right at the jumpcut, 6:53 ish
How fast should i be reeling in the Johnson silver minnow ?
Shoutout to the rooster tail and the kastmaster.
No mepps spinners 🤷♂️
Still want you to do a review of the "Flying Lure."
Also the arbrogast jitterbug
Did no lures come out between the 70s and 2010?
That last bait was made for ffs that’s why it’s heavy
Why did you leave the Dardevle out from the 1910s?
Silver spoon always works
Zero mention of the Yamamoto Senko?! Ooookaaaay.... passing on this channel
Funny............ I've NEVER once caught a Bass on the natural color worm
Ohio might make the top ten list .. maybe 😂😂
Make a video where you can fish only with the lures you find on site pliiiiis
HOW CAN YOU NOT INCLUDE THE FLUKE OR SENKO!?😂
You missed the 60s
Nothing was weedless in the 60s
😂
😂

True - he missed the Big O that introduced the whole crank bait industry. And yes, the great toasters like jitterbug.
I’d say this is more of an abridged version rather than a full extensive history
@@JayJayHuman haha more like a bridged version. Built a bridge right over the 80’s 90’s and early 2000’s 🤣
Hula popper jitterbug
i mean dont bass eat literally anything that you hold in front of them?
You could say it took 100 years to make.
My dad only uses the silver minnow 😭

Oh no I found somebody on the Internet that’s delusional about Ohio
Bias’s much
great vid
