    I just received my walnut .22, and it has the same grain as your rifle. When I was your age, I worked and hunted with my pals after work. I remember getting myself a Weihrauch 35E and was as happy as you. Now, I'm old and happy as you with a ProSport. What a nice area you have to hunt and shoot. Probably out hunting rabbit. Beautiful video.

    I just Love my .22 Pro Sport! She likes JSB Express pellets, but She will shoot H&N FTT and JSB RS pellets almost as well. I also would have groupings like yours when I first began shooting my Pro Sport. The first 3 or 4 shots would go into the same hole, then 1 or 2 would fly off to the side. She just needs to be run in as with all rifles, especially Springers. I also found that my rifle does not like pellets that fit tight in the breech. Find a Head size that works for your barrel. Have Fun and be safe. : )

    Sold mine a while back, what an idiot I was, really missing it now, the best spring air rifle in the world and I want it back in my collection, I'll be getting a new one soon though and it'll never be sold for EVER and EVER Amen. That stock on yours is absolutely beautiful.

    I chose mine in 177 cos with 177 heavy pellets theres no difference to .22, also you have option for longer range as opposed to .22, 177 in prosport shoots straight and the availablility of heavy pellets equal to .22 is great!.. Thanks for the prosport video ive been constantly looking for any new review on the prosport, i was hoping you had the brass engraved trigger or other brass bits as i was trying to see how they look in video. There is no one out there who has made a de-cocking video of the prosport except for an asian guy with a prosport on his channel but he doesnt speak english, hope you could make a video showing how to de-cock the prosport?.. im a dies hard springer fan but i would like airarms to make a gas piston kit available for this, just so i can leave it cocked for longer whilst waiting for birds to land. Keeps them prosport videos coming..theres absolutely no prosport hunting video on youtube also!...

    That ProSport is beautiful!!!!! I've been on a Spring/Piston obsession lately and I was seriously thinking of getting on in 177 cal for WFTF Field Target. Yours didn't seem to have that after-shot buzz!!! It sounded great. I think that the Piston guns that we get over here in the states are so jacked up in power that spring buzz is more prominent....which I fix with a tight rear guide. As always, another great review!!! Your review probably just caused my bank account to take a direct hit! LOL Anyway....well done Curtis!!!!! (I apologize if I misspelled your name)

    Just sold my bsa r 10 only a month old to buy one of these in 177. And it drills tight groupes out to 40 yds beautiful gun the best ,at first i thought it was alot of money for a springer but the engineering that goes into these is quality.

    I had a lot of issues with mine when I bought it brand new. It's had some work done on it by my Gunsmith and now shoots like a PCP.

    Sweet rifle m8, don't varnish the stock you will regret it, get some wire wool and rub the it back, then apply Phillips walnut oil everyday for 10 days then once a month for 10 months, then just when it needs it, also try jsb/air arms/rws super field in 4.52, should bring your groups in :)

    Great video. Thanks. Please don't cut yourself up about that group. If you were shooting off hand, and not off a rest, that is decent shooting at 40 yards, believe me!

    Snap. Just got one in .177. Fabulous looking rifle. Thanks for an excellent review Curtis. Your grouping a lot better than mine :-). Agree with other's comments to oil, not lacquer/varnish the stock. Am giving mine the walnut oil treatment recommended by Tim Hodge.

    Nice looking rifle mate! just got one exactly like yours with some dark distinct lines. Didn't like it at first but it ads a certain uniqueness to the rifle. Enjoy her!

    Like already suggested below, try some Air Arms 4.52 pellets, my Prosport can produce cloverleaf groups with the AA pellets, also don't varnish the stock, just use Boiled Linseed Oil on the stock, you will need the tiniest of amounts on your finger and then just rub it in and spread it about the stock as much as possible, you'll only need about 2 to 3 coats and leave as much time as possible between coats to fully soak in and dry.

    • @Tranceshuffle1
      @Tranceshuffle1  5 років тому

      Haha I wouldn't varnish it😂 what I done is sprayed it with clear lacquer, give it a key before each coat (ps I'm a professional spray painter and painter) afterwards I polished the stock with Polishing compound like T Cut, then after that buffed it with wax and a buffing wheel, I'd never use booked linseed oil on a stock that stuff stinks, and they dry out, my method is much better, nothing from external moisture or internal moisture can absorb into the stock

    • @civraypete
      @civraypete 5 років тому +1

      @@Tranceshuffle1 What ever works for you, we all have out own way of doing things, I always oil my stocks because most of the older Walnut stocks I have obtained (especially old BSA models) have been lacquered to save time but that will eventually mark and crack and you'll have to then get it all off again, if an oiled stock goes dry, you just give it another couple of coats of oil and it's fine again, anyway excellent choice of rifle and glad to see someone else enjoy it's beauty.

    The bluing is black chrome , its tough finish to , my favourite off the shelf rifle .. its tuned its custom and its a good price considering a hw97k is 400 +350 vmach tune +250 walnut stock , against air arms 700 .//// open grain stocks need 50/50 white spirit and polyeurathane varnish on a cloth , dont mirror polish it it will bug you after a while / or simply rub silicone oil into the stock it repels water like nothing else ,, one more thing get an old tee shirt cut a patch out scrunge silicone oil into it pop it into a sealy bag and wipe the gun completely with it , itl never rust pop it in your gun bag .. the cloth lasts yeeaarrrs , so does the bluing

    With AA Express pellets my Pro Sport takes some beating. I shoot at Furnace Mill and they have a tombstone target at 30 yards and I've managed to make it "ring" 16 times out of 17 shots.

    Sorry i wasnt knocking your rifle , its a beauty , mine benefited from a hw97 (25mm) piston seal ..far more consistant . Tru oil , worktop oil (colourless doesnt yellow ). Or make your own oil with white spirit 10% polyurathene varnish gloss or satin 25% and tung or other wood oil 65% .

    i am about to squeeze the trigger for Pro-sport soon as i have applied for import permission from US to Mongolia. I have a question for you Curtis lad, is it really hard to cock as people say in the forums ? This is going to be my lifetime purchase and plan to have as my only springer airgun so want everything is right on this piece.

  • @joekelly9369
    @joekelly9369 5 років тому

    Admittedly a beauty . Unfortunately for an already lazaglided rifle , doesnt shoot as well as a 97k with a standard tune . ( your stock , rub poleurathane varnish mixed 50/50 with white spirit "by hand".) that way you can still have a matt finish that wont absorb water you can build up to a shine if you wish , DONT just rub varnish into the stock , a few very thin layers and quit when your ahead , too much too soon and youl drop a bollock

    Nice review thanks. As I have one Prosport recently I have question please. I sometimes see something rubber like "condom" over the end of the barrelshroud. Is this against scratching? No this is not a joke. I am serious. I've seen this in more vids. Is this some aftermarket part,or did you never seen/heard of what I am meaning.
    Anyway: great rifle. Wish mine had a georgeous walnut stock instead of the beech.But also very pleased with it. And I only shot pcp's before.

    • @Tranceshuffle1
      @Tranceshuffle1  8 років тому

      +Sportman-un hi and thanks for watching what you are seeing over the barrel is a sleeve or a shroud or shrinkwrap and yes it is to prtoect from scratches or stop glimmering for hunting but if you decide to fit one allways remember to oil it after use as they can trap moisture underneeth
