@@hotchihuahua1546 Hello my friend. I agree with your comment and well highlighted. I love all my air rifles. They all have great points to enjoy and always very satisfying to hir where you've aimed for and practiced for.
I watched this video last night and bought a Pro Sport this morning, here in North Yorks. Just got it sighted in the garden and even though I have not fired a springer in 30 years (previous being an AirSporter and FWB 127 sport), I was putting fingernail groups at 25yards. Thanks for this video it helped me in deciding between this and the TX200HC :)
Had the pleasure of shooting one of these before the lockdown, very nice rifle and very accurate. I would certainly buy one if there was room in the cabinet.
I finally decided to “ pull the trigger” and buy a pro sport after years of pondering it. Wish I’d have gotten it sooner. Amazing pellet rifle! Worth the money in every way in my opinion
Another great review Richard. I have a .177 ProSport with Walnut stock, it’s a cracking rifle, best looks and accurate too, I agree with you completely. It also has the best deep “blued” finish to the metalwork, absolutely gorgeous rifle.
Lovely rifle, I think the checkering/decoration on the TX200 and pro sport are class leading. Nice group taking in to account unsorted pellets, wind and lightweight .177 pellet.
Thanks Roy. I must admit, a target that wobbles about in the wind doesn't help! Not that I really noticed until I watched the footage back. I agree with you on the chequering - superb. We're scheduled to post a similar review of the TX200 tomorrow if you're interested. Thanks for watching.
I have an early Beech Pro Sport in 177 with the original stock design but dyed a very deep dark purple, it's a very nice rifle. I sold it once, but bought it back from the guy a few months later after realising it was a stupid idea to have sold it in the first place! It won't be leaving me again.
Thay are a lovely Air Gun. I had a BSA Ultra then I applied for a FAC and got a 22Lr. I went for a Air Arms ProSport .177 because I did not want to keep filling a PCP Air Rifle it seemed a lot of hassle for the little use I used it. I found the ProSport liked JSB EXACT EXPRESS DIABOLO in 7,87gr (the number on the back of the tin is 0 4.52 I don't know if that means anything) it all most put pellet on pellet at 30 years i was very happy with that.
Good review Richard, thank you. It’s a beautiful looking thing that’s for sure. I’ve always been able to be a bit more accurate with a 97 but there are plenty who say vise versa. Keep up the good work mate.
Hi Henry. Have you considered the TX200 which is available as a left hand option in beech and walnut. Another great looking rifle that shoots incredibly well. We have a review coming out later today...Thanks for watching. Rich.
What scope did you put on it? I've just bought exactly what you did and am trying to decide on a scope. I'll be purely shooting targets, but want to see what distance I can take it out to.
Have to say Richard yours and Gary's reviews are the best I have seen very informative and more importantly honest and a good guide for a beginner like me
Thanks very much. It can be a bit of a minefield, especially if you are new to the sport. If you have any questions we're always happy to help and can be reached on hello@alphamilitaria.com.
@@airgunextra thanks my only problem at the minute is trying to find a my first gun I think I want to go tx200 or hw77 the thing that puts me off pcp is the cost of air etc
I had pro sports in both 177 and 22, the 177 for at least 7 years, they are very strict rifles, you must practice and have consistency from hold to to trigger pull, follow through the lot, but once you crack it you will impress yourself.
I got a prosport .it’s got a very rare 22mm full piston tune.only one Tony leech did as a prototype.he himself says Iv got a very rare gun with that tube done on it.it shoots so good.in 177 using jsb 4.53 it loves 👍👍👍👍
Beautiful rifle. I have the long barrel, TX 200. Look like basically the same gun, but with different cocking actions. I personally prefer the over under look of the TX 200, although I know it adds weight to the front, it still feels fairly balanced to me. 😊
You could’ve sold it for almost double during covid. I ended up selling a lot of knives and guns during covid and made two to three times what I paid. Sold a fx impact for 5k. You can still get a good chunk for stuff even in todays market since it still hasn’t healed.
How much could they have finished it off if they made the under leaver black like the barrel? Missed a trick there. Gorgeous gun. I intend to pick one up soon.
Hello, excellent review as always, a good springer is undoubtedly the airguns I like most, I have some HW,Diana, bsa, webley, haenel, to finish my collection I lack an Air Arms, I like Prosport but I prefer the tx 200 hc,will be the icing on the cake, I will wait for the next review, cheers.
I prefer the HW97 because It's ambidextrous and it has an adjustable recoil pad and there is much easier to put in the pellet with your left hand when you are a right handed shooter. The Pro sport gives bad access to the filling port from the left site. With the HW i just can hold the underlever i my right hand and don't have to swap whole the time.
I took my 97 back to the shop and exchange it for a HW90, the 97 was rubish compared to the 90, it had horrible twang and vibration when fired! Also was averaging 11fps spread over 5 shots where as the 90 is only 3fps.
Great review of a ProSport, I was thinking of selling mine but change my mind now. :) Thanks for showing the anti Bear trap mechanism, I've always been scared of the underlever taking my fingers off (and I did catch the caveat). Just need to build a quite backstop for the garden now.
I have completed my PCP collection and just need a springer. This one I know is superb but I'm wondering how loud it is when fired as my range is in my back garden! I don't want to upset the neighbours, is this the quietest of the "great" underlevers? Because the 77, 97 and a couple of others are in the mix and all potentially on the cards.
Hi Richard. I apologise, this isn't a direct review question regarding your specific review. There's lots of videos regarding barrel cleaning, and how important a clean barrel is. However, we are also told it is good to line your barrel with lead. Are we better to clean our barrels regular, or is it more beneficial to have a lining of lead on our barrel insides? When the barrels are cleaned, everyone claims vastly improved accuracy. I would be very grateful of your opinion and advice. Thankyou for your previous replies to my questions Richard, best wishes.
Hi Ian. No problem. To be honest I only ever clean my barrels when I have a new rifle to remove any muck/preservative and when I notice a sudden drop off in terms of accuracy. I certainly do not clean my barrels regularly. In terms of leading up, all you need to do is put a 100 or so pellets through the barrel once cleaned (not that I ever notice the difference between a barrel that is leaded up and one that isn't!). Don't get hung up on having to clean your barrels regularly, ensuring they are leaded up etc. Enjoy your rifle and only worry about cleaning the barrel if you start seeing a drop off in accuracy compared to what you are used to. I hope that helps. Rich.

Sorry if I missed it, but even as I've watched this video several times I didn't hear what calibre this particular gun was. (.177 or 22) I really enjoy your videos, always professional with well and full run down. Many thanks.
I sold my .22 just before Christmas and it really is the best springer ever! Only reason for sale was it was to good. I bought it second hand and was still to worried I'd get another mark on it. Absolute work of art and amazingly accurate. Only way mine could of been better would of been walnut stock. I did notice in the video it looke like something protruding out the end of the shroud? Mine wasn't like that the shroud finished about 3mm past the barrel. New design or threaded for a silencer? Mine was a 2013
Hi Luke. I know what you mean. I spend an awful lot of time shooting in the dark and the thought of damaging that lovely stock on a gate or fence doesn't bear thinking about! To be honest, I'm not sure what was going on at the end of the barrel. I have asked AA and will let you know if they come back. Thanks for watching.
@@airgunextra cheers 👍 thanks for the reply and thanks for the videos. The bloke who had mine bought it for his 14 year old son for Christmas as his first air gun. Lucky lad!
Hi Richard, love your channel and great review, the Pro Sport looks brilliant but with Air Arms reputation for quality and engineering it was always going to be. I don't know if it's an introduction for 2021 but the Air Arms website is showing that the Pro Sport 'is' available in a left handed stock provided you opt for the 'Walnut'.
Hi Richard great review, I have the same rifle and find it absolutely brilliant. At around 13:53 I noticed something that seems missing at the end of the barrel, is this a threaded barrel?
Hi Dave. Thanks very much. Yes, I noticed that too and have been meaning to ask Air Arms. The end isn't threaded, so not sure. Perhaps someone else knows?
Maybe it was a rifle met for export? As in, in Canade, having a baffle would make the barrel shroud act as a suppressor... which is illegal in this part of the world
Seriously considering buying one of these as I've always fancied one. I did have a FX impact Mk2 which was great but only go and do a bit of paper punching now and then and sold it but still have the itch for a rifle and thinking maybe a springer be better as if it's not used a lot I won't have to worry about leaks etc
Thanks for watching. You'll find the ProSport to be capable of PCP like levels of accuracy on the range with a bit of practice, and more rewarding when you get it right.
Well I’m really exited now the order of my new left handed walnut in 177 is now on its way to my local gun shop and he said that I was lucky too as there was only one left in stock period and I guess he was talking about air arms as they must only either make them for order or only do a line of them every so often. The only other they up had was the tx200 HC in 22 which was my second choice in the end but I’m so glad I’ve got the pinnacle of all airguns. And as I’ve been shooting for many years and have been a Weihrauch man through and through having two 95k’s in 177 and 22 and my blue laminate 97 in 22 and my little grab and shoot 99s in 22, all I might add are absolutely cracking rifles I wanted to get something really special and the pro sport has been on my bucket list for absolutely years and now I’ve finally taken the plunge. ………but what still gripes me in this day and age is us lefties get hammered in price because we are are different and have to pay so much more for a left hand gun and especially when your spending so much on a rifle. I served with the British army and even to this day they don’t cater for lefties as the sa80 is catered for right hand shooters only so you can imagine my groupings when I served if I hit the board I was lucky. So in the end I was tested on the GPMG now funnily enough shooting that from my right shoulder felt absolutely normal and my god could I hit things with that beast! But yeh we lefties seem to get a kicking in the wallet and really it’s not right really.
You had fun with the GPMG👍. I was in the RAF, used the SLR. No SA80's experience for me, I'd left by October 1989. I have a tx200 hc. Enjoy your rifle. I had some fun with a Lee Enfield, Mauser and Mosin in "The tunnel" ,on holiday in 2019, my wife and I just came back from another holiday that way (Charmouth) and I went there to shoot again. Different experiences but still good fun🇬🇧👍
Sounds like my kind of holiday that buddy. I went to pick up my Air Arms pro sport today and what an absolute cracking looking rifle. I’ve shot airguns among other since I could hold them and this is totally another level. The cocking stroke is great and the shooting cycle is as smooth as smooth and the trigger is probably the best I’ve used. Sorry Weihrauch but I’m been totally honest here. Record triggers are fantastic but this definitely has the edge. I haven’t had time to properly zero it in today but the groups at 35 yards were as tight as tight with no flyers. I was just throwing pellets through it to get the barrel leaded in a tad so tomorrow I’ll get it zeroed in properly hopefully tomorrow.
Very cool rifle you had commented that was a brand new rifle there may be a break-in process required with this after that your groups will improve just saying great job with a video
At least three different high quality round nosed pellets are necessary for a fair accuracy test. Air Arms pellets(JSBs) are excellent but not necessarily preferred by a particular gun. A few gun models shoot a particular pellet the most accurately, but the vast majority of guns even of the same model prefer different pellets. I'm enjoying your videos and have subscribed.
I'm new to shooting, and am infact looking to purchase my first air rifle. I was thinking of getting a PCP to start with, but I'm increasingly feeling drawn to the springers. This Pro Sport in particular is an absolute work of art. From the stock, the trigger to that lovely blued metal for the barrel. It shoots like a dream too. Would it be completely foolhardy of me to even consider such a high end rifle for my first? I was shooting at the range just last weekend a couple days ago and had incredible fun and met some great people, so there's no doubt I'll be sticking with the sport, it's just a question of what I get. I noted though that the price for these seems to have jumped markedly since this video. It was stated they were in the £650-700 range, but now they're £940(!) and the left handed version is topping out just over a grand! Has there been a redesign in the time between this video and now, or is this just "cost of living" throwing spanners in the works?
Hi Timmy. Yes, I'm afraid the rifle has gone up since we made the video. The ProSport is a superb rifle. If budget is an issue, the Weihrauch HW77 is worth taking a look at. Many consider it to be the equal of the ProSport. I have one and it is laser accurate straight out of the box. If you trawl through our videos there is a review. The HW97 is another rifle to consider (we've done a video on that too!). Please let us know if there's anything else we can help with (hello@alphamilitaria.com).
Hi Richard. Thankyou, I enjoyed your review.can I ask you please, I practice at 30yrds. Trying to hit the centre of a five pence beyond that becomes tricky. Those extra ten/twenty yards, alot more things can affect your accuracy and far harder to achieve success, with just that extra distance. What do you think??
Thanks Ian, and I totally agree. I'm not technical expert, but I think the stability of pellets at the relatively low power of an air rifle has a lot to do with it. And of course, the extra distance magnifies errors in our ability as shooters that wouldn't be as apparent at shorter distances. I think the answer is to keep practicing! Thanks for watching.
Hi Daniel. Most of the rifles we are sent are demo models, so they've been around. Rest assured, if you were to buy a ProSport it would be beautiful in every regard. Thanks for watching.
SO RIGHT about holding onto the lever when loading, im a Diana sidelever fan Im horrified how many youtubers dont hold onto the lever when loading them Id like to keep my fingers!
Hi Leslie. I don't think they are recommended for springer rifles, although I think that with a ProSport, especially if it is tuned, you'd probably just about get away with it as the prismatic scopes do have a few mm of eye relief - 12/14mm, something like that. But be careful!
HI John. I think the ProSport is a better looking rifle (not that the TX is ugly!). They both shoot superbly well, so I guess I'd have to say the ProSport.
Hi Justin. Thanks for watching. The ProSport really is a beauty. We're reviewing the TX200 tomorrow, so you might want to have a look at that video as well. We're not set up to sell air rifles at the moment, but if you're looking for a stockist near you try www.air-arms.co.uk/dealers. Good luck!
I had no problems with the loading port. And yes, it's a bit on the heavy side, but no more so than comparable rifles. I'd be happy to take it hunting...
While I do love my PCPs (Zbroia Hortitsia 330 .22 and Daystate Huntsman Revere .22), the underlever springers are an absolute joy to shoot. I have a Walther LGU .22 and definitely have my eyes on one of these!
I've heard of this, but its very expensive indeed for a springer. But not out of my league. I always think of power:quality ration in terms of cost-effectiveness, for I am looking for FAC which is hard to find outside of the U.K. Impossible in fact.
@@mikesmith8313 Hi Eugene. The good news is that there are several Air Arms dealers in France - take a look here: www.air-arms.co.uk/dealers.html. The even better news is that I understand the legal limit in France is 15 ft/lbs, which the ProSport and TX200 are both available in. However, I'm not sure what you want a rifle for, but I also believe hunting for anything other than rats with an air rifle is not permitted in France. I hope that helps.
Possibly Stephen. I didn't realise the target was wobbling about in the breeze which didn't help. The shooting position from the back of my truck wasn't the best as I was stretching a little. And bear in mind the rifles were straight out of the box - no running in, barrel leading etc. The guns are genuinely pellet on pellet and I am positive any shortcoming in the groups was down to my ineptitude! Thanks for watching.
I wish the other Air Arms rifles were designed this way. Don't like that big safety button on the right side of the TX200. Just an extra step you need to do.
Looking to get back into air gunning after a long break (covids put everything on hold :( )and i've only been looking at PCP, though initially expensive you don't have the added cost of air refill equipment.
The ProSport is certainly an excellent rifle, and a thing of beauty, as is the TX200 which we will be reviewing on the channel tomorrow. You might also want to consider Weihrauch's HW97 and 77 as they are excellent underlevers as well. Thanks for watching.
Did you hear back from Air Arms about the protrusion at the muzzle? Never seen it before, wonder if it's a barrel sleeve that is shorter than it should have been. Please let us know. Thank you.
Hi. So Air Arms came back and said that there are five grey baffles inside the barrel held in place with a black plastic cap glued in place on the end of the muzzle. It would seem that the cap fell off at some point. No doubt due to my clumsiness. Still, mystery solved!
@@airgunextra Very graceful of you to take the fall for Air Arms, but it's highly unlikely that you caused the cap to fall. Actually if you google "ProSport baffles loose" you'd see a forum discussion where at least 3 people had the sae problem. Air Arms need to do a better job securing these parts. Thanks for the reply and fantastic video. You've got a new fan & subscriber.
@@Mauser_. Very kind Mauser. And thanks for letting me know about the others who've had the problem. Thanks too for subscribing. I hope we can give you a few more interesting videos to watch.
I've read of the baffles coming out as well, and it seems unfortunate that air arms doesn't have a threaded cap instead of a glued in piece of plastic. Especially considering the price.
I’ve heard mixed reviews in the forums when the Pro Sport is compared to the TX200, primarily on the robustness of the cocking lever systems. Any insights on this. Would like to pick up an Air Arms very soon.
Hi. I'd say that the cocking action on the ProSport is a little stiffer - by no means difficult to cock, just stiffer than the TX200. The TX200 is a little easier, at least the full length version in the review (I've not tested the HC), but it does have a slight ratchet which is not an issue unless your hunting, and then only a small one. I hope that helps.
Us lefties .. sadly getting missed out again .. that said , although its a quality gun .. I aint really in the market for a springer .. im just too damn idle to keep pulling that lever all the time .. old age you see , gets to ya eventually .. All said and done , a really good review , superbly narrated and show cased ..
I'm having a think about the AA pro Sport or Weihrauch HW 97KT. Price is not the issue, I dont mind paying more for a rifle, but I want it to be clearly worth the extra. I will only be using it for hunting for the table so I want a gun I can grab and go, not worry too much about anything. kinda thinking the 97KT will do the job. I am wondering about long term reliability and I assume bother would be neck in neck. I never had a PCP and although I like the idea of multi shot, I dont like the charging issue, although if a foot pump worked, effeicnetly that would be ok. I am drawn to a springer on the basis of longevity and reliability of a springer over a PCP, more to go wrong on a PCP, leaks etc. I reckon the AA is a more beautiful rifle but for a hunting gun I want functionality over looks and the 97KT is a nice also. Can any AA SP owner tell me why I should take it over the Weihrauch?
Hi William. I think the problem you will find is that HW97 owners will vote for the Weihrauch and Prosport owners for the Air Arms. Ideally you need someone who owns and shoots both! I've tested them both pretty close to each other and in terms of accuracy and performance there's not much between them - they are both awesome. If you're concerned about which is better I think you'll entering into a splitting hairs exercise. My best advise is to shoulder them both if you can to see if one simply feels better for you than the other. Neither one is a mistake though and I'm sure you'll be pleased with your choice either way.
@@airgunextra yes, thanks for the sensible and balanced reply. The 97KT is better value for money if not as refined a stock finish as the AA. I am new to AG's. At my age, I want to buy 2 and get 20 years solid hunting out of them. I am toying with the idea of buying a springer and a PCP so that if I ever have a problem with the PCP (leaks over time) I will always have a reliable springer to fall back on. So looking at the HW100 and either the AA/97. I am hunting on the edge of the flat Earth, a day away from gun workshops, hence the call for day in/our reliability. Kind regards.
@@williamoneill5498 by now you will have pulled the trigger and bought one or the other, but for hunting, you will find that both the Pro sport and Hw97 are way too heavy to carry around. HW95 has the most efficient powerplant, weighs less and is just as accurate and powerful - a true sporter.
@@TheDesertFish Funny enough I didn't pull the trigger on either, somehow I ended up with a HW100KT and I am getting on famously with it. I will look at the HW95, I am thinking of getting a springer for back up, in case I find the PCP seals eventually starts loosing air and needs Service or I get stranded on a desert island and I need a gun that just keeps working with zero accessories needed. Thanks.

I have model with kit of the 18 joules with pellet 0,53 grammi Im very happy for this rifle: very precise, meccanic very good, material really very good
Do ProSport owners appreciate that Air Arms basically copied the Venom Arms Mach 2 rifle? There was some 'friction' with Venom over that! Superb piece of kit, I have a modest collection of seven rifles, 4 x Venom/V-Mach HW's- 2 x 77 and 2 x 80's. 1 x HW35E, 1 x Theoben Evolution, and an Air Arms TX200. I had a session this evening with the TX200, brilliant rifle- key holed ten rnds into a Bisley tgt at 30m. Air Arms are up there alongside Weihrauch for quality engineering in my humble opinion.
Ken Turner first produced a stainless steel constructed concealed underlever air rifle which he unveiled in 1982 at Basingstoke ARPC open competition to which the later Air Arms ProSport is based and not at all a copy of the Venom Mach2 project. Incidently Ken a precision engineer by trade had a direct input in the Mach2 development by use of his machining talents.
@@alarmactionukalarmactionuk893 That's not what I've heard from somebody who has direct links to Ivan Hancock. He even challenged Air Arms at a show at the NEC. He walked over to their stand, as he was approaching, the Pro Sport was hurriedly removed from display and out of sight. He said to the AA personnel, "I've come to see my rifle!" He was in the initial stages of taking legal action when the Dunblane shootings occurred. He was very conscious of the bad press that the shooting sports were receiving, and rather than add more to it, he generously dropped the legal action. The Mach 2 plans were 'appropriated' by an employee at an engineering firm that Venom contracted work out to. He sold those plans on to a certain company........The 'appropriator' was sacked from his job at the engineering firm for breaching client confidentiality. The Pro Sport bears an uncanny resemblance to the Mach 2, the design influences are fairly obvious.

Prefer the hw 97 any day cracking rifles.... larger loading port and is ambidextrous....i shoot left handed and AA wants another £95 pound for a left hand stock which is a bit of a piss take as there well over priced anyway
Lovely Air Rifle but the safety catch is like the HW's annoying and easy to forget....Why all manufacturers dont adopt the WEBLEY safety catch baffles me....Its the easiest and simplest safety catch going...My WEBLY OMEGA .22 (1984) is a pure pleasure to use with its simple safety catch..Give one a try sometime please Richard see what you think...
Hi Robert. Thanks for watching. I don't have an Omega, but I have a couple of Vulcans from the same era and I believe the safety catch is very similar. And you're right, it's a nice design. Good review Richard, thank you. It’s a beautiful looking thing that’s for sure. I’ve always been able to be a bit more accurate with a 97 but there are plenty who say vise versa. Keep up the good work mate.
Have to say the HW97 is a great rifle too. I hope to review one soon. Thanks for watching.
For me, the best looking air rifle..
as a lefty I have never considered buying one.
thanks for the video.
Hi Henry. Have you considered the TX200 which is available as a left hand option in beech and walnut. Another great looking rifle that shoots incredibly well. We have a review coming out later today...Thanks for watching. Rich.
There's a lefty pro sport now
Just bought one with the walnut stock brand new 22 calibre, its fantastic
What scope did you put on it? I've just bought exactly what you did and am trying to decide on a scope. I'll be purely shooting targets, but want to see what distance I can take it out to.
Yes Rich it was very windy, I could see the target moving so you are not to blame
Have to say Richard yours and Gary's reviews are the best I have seen very informative and more importantly honest and a good guide for a beginner like me

I had pro sports in both 177 and 22, the 177 for at least 7 years, they are very strict rifles, you must practice and have consistency from hold to to trigger pull, follow through the lot, but once you crack it you will impress yourself.
Great review. TY!
Thanks Eric. And thanks for taking the time to comment.
I got a prosport .it’s got a very rare 22mm full piston tune.only one Tony leech did as a prototype.he himself says Iv got a very rare gun with that tube done on it.it shoots so good.in 177 using jsb 4.53 it loves 👍👍👍👍
Must be my old one , full bodied piston 22mm tune 👍🏻
You've wrote this exact comment in so many air rifle videos
Beautiful rifle. I have the long barrel, TX 200. Look like basically the same gun, but with different cocking actions. I personally prefer the over under look of the TX 200, although I know it adds weight to the front, it still feels fairly balanced to me. 😊
Very good review thankyou
Had a walnut one for 3mths before moving to Australia. Sold it for $275 did less than 200 pellets. Someone got a great deal
Wow. I wish it was me!
You could’ve sold it for almost double during covid. I ended up selling a lot of knives and guns during covid and made two to three times what I paid. Sold a fx impact for 5k. You can still get a good chunk for stuff even in todays market since it still hasn’t healed.
I have had my ProSport for 17 years. Lovely rifle and a joy to shoot. If you get the opertunity, but one.
I second that...
Thanks Luis. We're reviewing the TX200 on the channel tomorrow.
There is a lefty pro sport now
@@ManiacInTheShed Was it brand new? New air rifles tend to need a good 500-1000 pellets to settle down.
Great review of a ProSport, I was thinking of selling mine but change my mind now. :) Thanks for showing the anti Bear trap mechanism, I've always been scared of the underlever taking my fingers off (and I did catch the caveat). Just need to build a quite backstop for the garden now.
You know you'd never forgive yourself if you did Dave! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Rich.
Great review. I recently transitioned from break barrels to under levers - this info helps
Thanks very much Ron. Seems like there are more great underlevers than break barrels at the moment so good choice!
Rich.

Update air arms are doing a lefty stock now but you’ve to pay extra for the privilege. Just in the process of ordering one.
Sorry if I missed it, but even as I've watched this video several times I didn't hear what calibre this particular gun was. (.177 or 22)
I really enjoy your videos, always professional with well and full run down.
Many thanks.
Thanks very much. I believe this was a .177 rifle. Thanks for watching.
I love my HW 97 but would bite my own arm off for this gun!!
Lucky lad!
@@lukebrown2867 Lucky lad indeed. I had to make do with an ASI Paratrooper - all 5 ft/lbs of it if I was lucky!
Hi Richard,
love your channel and great review, the Pro Sport looks brilliant but with Air Arms reputation for quality and engineering it was always going to be.
I don't know if it's an introduction for 2021 but the Air Arms website is showing that the Pro Sport 'is' available in a left handed stock provided you opt for the 'Walnut'.
Hi Jos. Thanks very much. Yes, I saw that announcement as well. It just came out, typically after we published the vid! I think its a great move...
As in, in Canade, having a baffle would make the barrel shroud act as a suppressor... which is illegal in this part of the world
long live springers and thanks
Seriously considering buying one of these as I've always fancied one. I did have a FX impact Mk2 which was great but only go and do a bit of paper punching now and then and sold it but still have the itch for a rifle and thinking maybe a springer be better as if it's not used a lot I won't have to worry about leaks etc
Thanks for watching. You'll find the ProSport to be capable of PCP like levels of accuracy on the range with a bit of practice, and more rewarding when you get it right.
It's good British weather you should be used to it now 😀
I'm curious, what's at the end of the barrel?
As far as I can see the Walther LGU and LGV have been discontinued! Thanks for the review, definitely considering buying one of these!
Yes, I'm afraid they have. Shame as they are great rifles. Mind you, the ProSport and TX200 are none too shabby either. Thanks for watching.

Very cool rifle you had commented that was a brand new rifle there may be a break-in process required with this after that your groups will improve just saying great job with a video
Thanks very much.
So... this Pro Sport or the TX200? You can only choose one...
Very true. I do find that AA Diabolo Fields are usually not too far away and a good start point. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
That is exactly what I am looking for right there. That rifle is beautiful. I'm very curious. What is your favorite pellet with that rifle?
Hi Greenpea. It's a great rifle - one of the best springers made. I've found Air Arms Diabolo Field work well in the ProSport.
Good video 👍
Thanks very much 👍.
It looks like the barrel end cap is hanging out...even more so half way through the group when the camera angle changes
Hi Daniel. Most of the rifles we are sent are demo models, so they've been around. Rest assured, if you were to buy a ProSport it would be beautiful in every regard. Thanks for watching.

with little or no recoil could you mount an immersive prismatic scope namely 10/40 14/50
Hi Leslie. I don't think they are recommended for springer rifles, although I think that with a ProSport, especially if it is tuned, you'd probably just about get away with it as the prismatic scopes do have a few mm of eye relief - 12/14mm, something like that. But be careful!
Do you like the PROSPORT better then the TX200HC.
HI John. I think the ProSport is a better looking rifle (not that the TX is ugly!). They both shoot superbly well, so I guess I'd have to say the ProSport.
Looks a really nice springer Richard.

Hi Mohammad. The target was set at 30 yards. Thanks for watching...
I've heard of this, but its very expensive indeed for a springer. But not out of my league. I always think of power:quality ration in terms of cost-effectiveness, for I am looking for FAC which is hard to find outside of the U.K. Impossible in fact.

The even better news is that I understand the legal limit in France is 15 ft/lbs, which the ProSport and TX200 are both available in. However, I'm not sure what you want a rifle for, but I also believe hunting for anything other than rats with an air rifle is not permitted in France. I hope that helps.

Might bet better grouping with a different brand or weight of pellet.
Did you hear back from Air Arms about the protrusion at the muzzle? Never seen it before, wonder if it's a barrel sleeve that is shorter than it should have been. Please let us know. Thank you.
I'll chase them up...
Thanks Mark. Perhaps a TX200 if you ever got a burst of energy :)
How old is to old?, I’m closing in on 73 rather rapidly and I have 4 under levers and always take one to the range with me as well as one of my PCPs.
Hi Nadeem. I believe there is an Air Arms dealer in northern India. You can check at www.air-arms.co.uk/dealers. Good luck.

Thank you for the video. A beautiful gun without doubt but uncompromisingly right handed and no alternative so I'll stick with HW. Shame really, because I really would like to buy British but AA know about this issue and clearly are not prepared to do anything about it.
Hi Ian. You could always go for the Air Arms TX200 which is available as a left hand stock. Great gun too. You can see our review here: ua-cam.com/video/HEdYLo-ISZM/v-deo.html
@@airgunextra Thank you - I have just discovered that AA are in fact now producing a left handed Prosport and I have one on order
Wish it was £700 still 🤣
I'd have two if they were John!
No left-handed options.
There are now Max. Air Arms announced they will offer a left-handed ProSport shortly after our video published.
Start by telling us the calibre.
Hi Ken. Start with a 'please' and I might tell you.
There are a lot of strange noises in this video. Have you got squirrels in the roof?
Just a bit of wind Malcolm.
Sound like the zoom on the camera adjusting the focus
single shot? Nnoooo
I thought pro sport was a break barrel... oh ffs
Y don't they make a stock for left handers f joke of a company
I was brought up on a diet of HW springers though so knocking the safety off each time is second nature for me. All the best...
How much could they have finished it off if they made the under leaver black like the barrel? Missed a trick there. Gorgeous gun. I intend to pick one up soon.
