Hey guys! Despite the disappointing Grand Communions, what other tricks have you found to tinker around with? Any new mechanics you'd like me to glance at?
Maybe if the communion-for-ritual process caused afflictions or fatalities to the slaves would have worked for balance purposes for the first mechanism you described. And I thought Dominions 6 introduced rituals that told exactly how much a global was cast for.
Yes, I mentioned those rituals (even put a picture up at 8:42 for ya) Arcane Analysis does just that. Unfortunately, as I mentioned - this just means astral nations have even MORE control over globals, which already went up with those spells. The affliction idea is REALLY interesting though, I'm curious if Illwinter would consider that! Perhaps a DRN + something to determine if you "fatigue out" during the communion and take damage or something? Appreciate the comment and feedback!
Yea, that seems to be the general idea behind it, but to me at least: the cost in mage turns is WAY too high to be something to build a strategy around :/ Thanks so much for the comment and feedback!
@@MrVladiebaddie Yea, and in LA, the problem is that HARDLY any mages can do it. Even the nations that have a few (Phlegra comes to mind) can hardly afford it, and even Pythium for example only has the Theurge (one unit) that can do it, and all of them are at a relatively low level. Kind of sad. Discounting the initial cast would be HIGHLY beneficial, but possibly unbalanced. Hmm. I'd have to think on that, that's a very interesting idea. And as always: thank you for the comment and feedback!
Hahahahaha, thanks ;) Yea, it really was disappointing with this one. Not really as impressive as their last few updates (new nations that are super thematic, etc). Still: appreciate the comment and feedback!

Wow that's a big disappointment
Couldn't agree more my friend!
Thanks for the comment and feedback!
At least grand communion doesn't take up extra gems...

@AOReaper I think this might be useful for LA age when gems are running very low. Too bad it doesn't discount the initial cast.

So that's how it works. Lame...
Nice random battle though :)
Hahahahaha, thanks ;)
