Hey guys! Despite the disappointing Grand Communions, what other tricks have you found to tinker around with? Any new mechanics you'd like me to glance at?
So that's how it works. Lame... Nice random battle though :)
Hahahahaha, thanks ;) Yea, it really was disappointing with this one. Not really as impressive as their last few updates (new nations that are super thematic, etc). Still: appreciate the comment and feedback!
At least grand communion doesn't take up extra gems...
Yea, that seems to be the general idea behind it, but to me at least: the cost in mage turns is WAY too high to be something to build a strategy around :/ Thanks so much for the comment and feedback!
@AOReaper I think this might be useful for LA age when gems are running very low. Too bad it doesn't discount the initial cast.
@@MrVladiebaddie Yea, and in LA, the problem is that HARDLY any mages can do it. Even the nations that have a few (Phlegra comes to mind) can hardly afford it, and even Pythium for example only has the Theurge (one unit) that can do it, and all of them are at a relatively low level. Kind of sad. Discounting the initial cast would be HIGHLY beneficial, but possibly unbalanced. Hmm. I'd have to think on that, that's a very interesting idea. And as always: thank you for the comment and feedback!
Maybe if the communion-for-ritual process caused afflictions or fatalities to the slaves would have worked for balance purposes for the first mechanism you described. And I thought Dominions 6 introduced rituals that told exactly how much a global was cast for.
Yes, I mentioned those rituals (even put a picture up at 8:42 for ya) Arcane Analysis does just that. Unfortunately, as I mentioned - this just means astral nations have even MORE control over globals, which already went up with those spells. The affliction idea is REALLY interesting though, I'm curious if Illwinter would consider that! Perhaps a DRN + something to determine if you "fatigue out" during the communion and take damage or something? Appreciate the comment and feedback!
Wow that's a big disappointment
Couldn't agree more my friend! Thanks for the comment and feedback!
Ayye
Beeeeee.... Ceeeee.... Hahaha, good to have ya here ;)
Is Elfing an adjective now?
I sure hope not, and I think I used it as a present participle a few times in here, and even once as a gerund (haha), but if we start using it as an adjective as well... Pretenders help us all! Haha, thanks for the laugh my friend, glad to have you here! Thanks for the comment and feedback! Let me know if you have any requests for the future, as this comment made me laugh out loud ;)
@@AOReaper Monkeys. Have they changed much? I still have dom 5.
I'm a terrible person for asking this, but are you Canadian or Australian or something?
I ask because of this: ua-cam.com/video/HnAtyDznPMo/v-deo.html
19:37 As a noob who doesn't know what to do, what is the correct response to my awake expander getting horror marked and soul slayed by a bump?
I found a great trick whit pan when you face low moral army in the late game army of rat + panic is super effective. I don't know how good it's whit MA Asphodel and the spell terror
Basically the same, only Terror (Thaum 4, D3) has a fear of 3, whereas panic has a fear of 1. Both are fear, so it still helps quite a bit. For an EXTRA special touch, instead of spamming Panic, have a Pan who rolled 2B, or (lucky) 3B, cast Agony right after! I think you'll REALLY love the results ;) The beauty of Agony is that it deals 1 point of damage to the squares it hits, so they're often instantly routed with that damage morale check!
@@AOReaper that was in a game whit la pangea I didn't have the luxury of death and blood I mean now I do but the game is basically over in 2-3 turn
@@skoub3466 Ahh fair enough! Still, glad you found that trick out, and shared it with the rest of us ;)
Im a noobish player, and my oh my those scales scare me haha. Does tanking your economy make this build pretty difficult for beginner players still learning communions?
Honestly: not really. The key to taking a hit on any dominion scales is to REALLY practice calculating out exactly what troops you want to build each turn (at each fort) and how much that costs you. Then you have a more specific calculation to make (i.e. "2 more berserkers vs +2 atk skill on each one, and +5 CR"). With the dominion hit I took on these scales, my calculations were very specific. Marverni (at least amongst the MP community) is fairly well known for a weak early game. You get rushed a LOT. Starting with an awake Pretender is almost necessary in that way, so taking less than optimal scales is kind of needed. In addition, taking a big bless like Larger and Quickness helps you fight off rushes because your sacreds can now compete, and in the future when you spend GEMS (not income) to recruit the boars of Carnutes, you'll be generating your pigs (sacred as well) for free = thus you won't be punished nearly as much for taking such poor scales. Hope that helps!
Balor would have a deep lore, because he is am irl character in myths :p
Yes! I love this! Its so sad when you get a super powerful/useful hero, and their version of lore is "Welp, this gentleman once walked to the store... and now you have him" hahaha! Thanks som much for the comment and feedback!
@@AOReaper not a problem! i enjoyed the vid!
@@praiseHashut Greatly appreciate that, thank you!
Also note you shouldn't need to time storm power since you should be able to cast storm power before storm and it still works (the boost doesn't start until the storm goes up, but it should still take effect). It might make sense to delay casting if you have something useful to do first, but it shouldn't be a need. Cast too soon and you are waiting for it to take place, cast too late and you are missing time with the full boost.
Hmm, I knew back in Dominions 4 this wasn't the case, but my goofy butt mentioned it out of habit. Thanks for the correction! I swear, sometimes I've been playing this game for so long, in my head I'm playing 3 different versions of Dominions hahaha! Thanks for the comment and feedback! Appreciate all insights!
Oh my gosh you did for moria h. You are my favorite channel for sure now my middle friend. Now this is going to be done with talk to text and it Will be a wall of text but I feel the need to say my two cents first off, I really love the video. Thank you for doing it. I can't wait for the next video on multiplayer and then I will give my thoughts on multiplayer as I think they are, or at least where, maybe the most or one of the most powerful factions in dominion's 5. Definitely things are a bit different now with glamor magic and a couple of Nerf and buffs but still a very very strong Nation. So much to say. I'll keep it short on this to see what you cover in your next video, but as far as just basic things, remember all your druids and Kings are very mobile with air trapeze. Second, you need so many gems. It's not even funny because aerel mental spam and death gems for all things death. Also dance of the Morgans. Is that good I know it's late but do yourself a favor, script some army and then fight against a florian army and have them cast that against you with just any kind of bless doesn't even matter can be unblessed and they will completely shatter you. I mean completely. It's also worth noting that you'll probably want to put up wrathful skies and storm and you can just go ahead and summon our elementals keep flyers from coming in and killing you even though Ariel mantels will have a hard time trampling your Kings because of size and dance of the Morgans wind of death, wailing winds, etc. Total madness okay. This nation is insanely strong. I will talk about the multiplayer and the tricks later. You definitely nailed it on the heroes twice. Born them immediately. They are that good if you can get a way to get luck. 3. Do it. I would take luck 2000 if I could. The heroes are that important. Days of death is insane. Try it out. I would even spend the gems to twice born him. His leadership is also 300. Don't know if you saw that his son's leadership is 150. Nothing to sniff at. Also keep in mind your kings have sailing and they also have gift of water breathing. It's actually a really big deal. I mean a really big deal. There's so much to say. I'll leave it to see what you cover in multiplayer and then add more. I feel like I owe you some money for these videos. You should give me your cash app rock on my metal brother. This is the true metal Nation
Hahaha love the enthusiastic reply! Its VERY true that what you said is important. Sailing is AMAZING in the right situations, if you're playing on a water filled map... the only issue I've found is that most players tend to play on mapnuke maps with one or two water spots here and there, so I didn't run into too many examples where it factored in too big. Dance of the Morrigans IS an amazing spell, but at the time of Video 1, the 3 games I'd played in had ALL been decided before I could even reach the research for it :/ Having gone with a "long term" scales version of the pretender, I was punished for it, which I mention in my second video with my alternate version of my pretender (more bless emphasis - much more synergy + much more beneficial for the morrigans). And about the gems - Oh my gosh yes! SO MANY NEEDED, but that feels sort of the same with other nations, Fomoria just seems to need SO many gems from each path type that it gets rough sometimes! Thank goodness they're in EA! Thanks so much for the comment, even voice to text as it was ;) Love having it!
Haha, after my first comment, I thought about it, and added a linktree to the channel for donations/subscriptions. Hope that helps brother, and looking forward to doing part 2 so we can get down and dirty on some Multiplayer tricks!
First of all, I love how digestible this video is. Your voice is understandable and overall the vibe is energetic! I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers. Second of all, Incubi can be used to great effect against Feminie considering all of their commanders are female.
Thank you so much for the kind words! Always love to hear the feedback, and appreciate them very much! And oh my goodness, you aren't wrong! I hadn't even recognized that (haven't played against Feminie yet in MP). Thank you for that tip! I'd throw it in if I could! Appreciate the comment and feedback, and hopefully we can fix that whole subscriber problem with enough time! I love doing this!
Can you do a video on Muspelheim, Sons of Fire! 😊
Sure thing! The flaming giants, that then go bipolar everywhere else? I'll throw it on the list! Any particular focus YOU'D like with them? Bless heavy, scales, or just what's "best" for the nation in my opinion? I can do a few meme style videos here and there after all :P Thanks so much for the comment and feedback AND request!
Just what you think would be the best for the nation 😁
@@donnadinka3877 Sounds like a plan! I'll be sure to include several variants, but I'll focus more on that in the "advanced" guide that I make SECOND for them. First video, I'll do a basics, and get you going in practice battles in AI, or versus newer players (depending on you of course). Second video, I'll focus on multiplayer tricks and variants of the Pretender you could take that would require more finesse, but might actually win you something. Sound good? And thanks for the comment and request!
I gotta say, I wasnt really sure how I should play around with Fomoria, I did watch a guide before, so I was familiar with some of their stuff, but i just wasnt sure. This guide really did it for me. I will be jumping into my next EA game and grabbing Fomoria with the lessons are learned here and since I started playing the game. Great vide man, I was a bit lost in the Merverni one, but this one was just spot on and easy to understand. Thanks a lot for this! I am curious if you'll get to Tir na Nog and Eriu eventually. I'd be curious what I can learn from you about them :D Again, great video, looking forwards to more
I'm so glad, thank you for the kind comment! Eriu, definitely a possibility, even though they don't fit my style TOO much, they have some serious possibilities with the new fir bolgs they get in MA, and they REALLY lean in hard on glamour too. Would be fun to experiment and try them out. Tir na nog I have no MP experience in Dom 6, only Dom 5, so some of my techniques might be a bit outdated, but I'll be sure to try hopping into them when I can. In the meantime, I'm glad you like Fomoria, because my second video on them (basics) will be a lot of examples of "simple tricks" to use with them in combats, scripting, that sort of thing, and then I'm going to do a deep dive on one of the nations, a more advanced tips and tricks. Good chance it'll be Fomoria, but I'm kind of feeling the "How to transition a hell blessed Abysia into the mid/late game" style video hahaha. People often struggle with this when Rain becomes a thing! And thanks for the comment and feedback, I really appreciate it!
@@AOReaper More Fomoria content sounds so fun. I cant wait to learn more so I can jump with them into MP. Will be watching closely for when those Gems drop.
@@frantisekprusa4877 Sounds good! I've got family in town, and my work is crushing my time right now, but I'll get on it ASAP!
Remember you are legally obligated to play Irish bagpipes when playing this nation
Hahahahaha, exactly! Hope you heard the shoutout, my friend. This nation is going to require a deep dive video at a later date!
They can get a bit more whit attack skill buff length 4 weapons and better then average attack skill
If you mean the sacreds: yes - but compared to what I'd want a giant for, they're not worth the investment, as it would be far too heavy of an investment required to make them "strong" in that way for my purposes. As always: thanks for the comment and feedback! Always great insights!
How did you get the high resolution picture in the thumbnail?
I work a LOT with AI generation of images to get exactly what I'm aiming for. Its a fairly long process, but at the end, I can upscale it repeatedly without losing image degradation, as long as I'm cautious, and don't mind going back and forth. Hope that makes sense!
@@AOReaper I'm curious whit the step of this one the ping and reaper where quitte obvious but this one is particularly neat
@@skoub3466 I appreciate that ;) Honestly, its just self training the models. Oftentimes there isn't a model (LORA or what have you) that matches what style I'm looking for, so I have to hunt another one down, and then train it repeatedly until its giving the results I want for the keywords I want. Once I've done that: it basically does all of the work for me. In addition, if you split it into parts (i.e. "Face first, THEN body, THEN background") its much easier to "combine" the images together to get a good finalized product. Hope that helps my friend! And thanks, as always, for the comment and feedback!
Especially liked the commentary that accompanied the second expansion
Really glad it helped! I'll start including more of this sort of thing in the future! Thank you so much for the comment and feedback!
Double take on expansion is awesome. Really gives another perspective on early aims and goals. Ty for your content Reaper. Keep on reaping!
Sounds great, thank you so much for being so supportive! I'm glad its scratching that itch, and helping with your games!
Hell yeah lets see
Awesome! Glad to have ya! Thank you for the comment and feedback!
Hey guys! Had family in town, and was a bit under the weather, but got this up. Really curious what you all think about the two different versions of expansion. Its always fun doing "expansion focused" runs, trying to maximize numbers, but I figured the multiplayer focus would be a little bit more helpful. What do you think?
Never clicked on a video so fast. Gonna watch this through in a bit. I like a multiplayer expansion focus. Typically because the AI, once you get used to them, are kind of pitiable so long as you aren't mismanaging your own nation.
@@gogeta667 100 percent! On the other hand, some people just don't have time for a full MP game, so I want to offer something that both sides can use. That's why I do chapters on all of the videos too, so people can hop around and see what they're interested in. I'll be sure to include much more of the multiplayer commentary in the future videos! I'm really glad it helped, and you liked it! Thanks so much for the feedback and comment!
I love seeing content about this game! Ive loved the series since Dominions 3
You and me both! Welcome back to the team! We're glad to have ya! And thanks for the feedback and comment! Its always appreciated!
I havent played much Ind but Ive played a decent bit of LA Piconye. So im just spit balling here I would try using them for bogging down amd surrounding giants at least in LA they are really good at fighting giants
Oh I can imagine! The sheer attack density would be ridiculous, but my goodness would it be bad if they had a single trampler or those trample boots on a thug hahaha. Thanks so much for the comment and feedback!
Not just attack density, but large units like giants typically are hitting one target, but the Picoyne are 5 to a tile, so really strong units that target single units with powerful attacks end up wasting a lot of the damage potential with overkill. They are very bad against a strong mage evo corps though. In LA they have high defense skill for their infantry, solid flying unit and commander with thug potential, the most amassable crossbow in the game, the ability to make powerful complicated communions, and a strong sacred/bless/smite game It's a good time
@@nickwoodfin2690 They sound solid as heck to me, given that description. Maybe I'll throw them on the list, and see what I can find when I get to them. In fact, I might make them one of my next few videos, that sounds like a FUN thing to "figure out and make playable" for the average person, who might find the diminutive size too daunting to take on!
Love the format a bit too much time on the units since you show the useful on e in the expansion may be just say the one whit niche case in the presentation. Cambiant count are my favorite blood searcher you don't need any thing to protect them against blood event and blood 3 researcher is the sweet spot where you don't need more micromanagement. I don't pick luck in the bless since you have a easy access to group luck but undying and blood regeneration are a supreme value to them. Imprisoned rainbow that add strength get a good value. I would aslo add that Succube are superb in the scenario that you show but don't use them aggressively like dryad you will lose them. "your late" game battle are representative against a mighty ai but a player will have more mage support then what you showed my researsh is evo 2 blood 4 thau 5 constr 5 I made const 5 before the other if I can get away whit it
Thanks for the comment! And I love those Cambion counts! The higher morale alone makes them one of my favorite in this nation, and they do make things so much easier when you give them a sanguine dowsing rod! And of course the armies can't be player style armies in my demonstrations, hahaha, I would expect FAR more more support, and a hell of a lot more scripted elemental spam, and even battlefield wipe spells. The idea with the guides is to show players how to set up certain moves of their own, and then encourage them to hop in multiplayer games with us all to figure out then how to counter players. Mighty AI I'm not sure - I don't play with AI often, so I wouldn't be a good judge, but I'm trying to give representations of player ARMIES, not so much their mage setups ;) Too much variability in there to do in short time haha. As always thank you for the comment and feedback! Great insights!
@@AOReaper maybe have the same number of gems spend on elementals on the opposite side
@@skoub3466 Yep, I just run into the issue of imagining how people would spend those gems then. It would get crazy the # of combinations I'd need to show to really give a good set of examples, and the video would be ~60 minutes. I might try throwing some more "realistic" armies in there in the future, or hell: to make it easier I might just ask some MP players for permission, and use the old turn files from old games in these vids. That might be easier for nations that aren't brand new. Solid idea, thanks!
What do you guys think? Did you enjoy the more crunched style of video, where I condensed it down, but kept the most important parts in? Let me know in a comment!
Good stuff. Dom is often a bit overwhelming in it’s scope, a condensed look is very nice
@@SinOfAugust I'm so glad it helped! Let me know if any parts were confusing for you, and I'll be happy to walk you through them, or even give you alternate examples if it helps!
@@AOReaper To me, personally, magic in general is the biggest hurdle. There is more spells in a single school than other games have all together. Knowing what counters what, what is a priority when is hard when you are staring at hundreds of spells... Then there's communions, Sabbath's, boosters, crafting, horror usage... Hard to take it all in and then make intelligent decisions about it all...
Top tier meme implementation. 10/10 would subscribe twice if I could.

Possibly, but in testing it sure as heck seems to be working the same. If it isn't (or its INTENDED not to) then people will have to make a different specific pretender with this nation, but fortunately as I mentioned in the pretender design section: this nation is SUPER happy with pretty much any decent bless. Thanks for the comment and the feedback!
I think it is only supposed to trigger on damage that crosses 0, but it might have been extra triggering because this bless was mixing the undying with the half-regen of enchanted blood. That might mean there are multiple times the same unit is ready for the fatal hit, but not sure if it still counts.
Do EA TNN! They are such a great nation even after losing some air magic in dom6! Their assassins can use charm! Just imagine being able to steal just about any commander for just a handful of glamor gems! Happy to help come up with things to talk about :p
Haha, thanks for the idea! I was dabbling around with EA TNN earlier this month, and boy it was rough for them. Their cavalry suffered from the "light warhorses now have no prot" syndrome, and it was really rough using both the Ri and the Sidhe Lords even more importantly. That 4 prot REALLY hurts vs archers and the commanders when they get dumped off of their fay horse onto the ground, as the horse loses 3 defense vs its rider in the case of the Ri, and 2 for the Sidhe Lord (now that their stats are tracked separately). Hmm... how to make up for these things... We lost our lightning spammability, but we gained Glamour in return. We lost mistform/fog warriors for the most part (or at least easy access to it), but gained twilight access (and darkvision on many troops/mages), and really good access to defense plays. I think my issue with elves in this edition is that they became MORE elfy in their ways, and more vulnerable to normal elf counters. In addition, they didn't gain GREAT access to any direct damage that they've lost now with Air access OR defense (fog warriors). Tell you what: I'll give them a try. If I sit down and let them noodle around in my brain for a while, and do some testing, I should be able to figure them out, and I'll let you know what I find. And thank you for the comment and feedback!
@@AOReaper hmm... Could have sworn I typed a reply to this.
I recommend you do its semi sibling Fomoria as well! It’s got one of the wider viable magic rosters in the whole early era. Not to mention some versatile troops
@@ivan-to2zy I haven't seen one. Not sure where it could've gone...? I see your original post up above about TNN losing air magic, etc. If its gone missing, let me know, and I'll try to investigate. I know nothing about this stuff, but I'll try haha.
@@thatoneguy5856 I DO love me some Fomoria. Much more straightforward bruisers than their elfy cousins ;) Thanks for the comment and feedback! Let me know what your preferred strategy with EA Fomoria is, and I'll try it out ;)
Thank's for the test plays.
Absolutely happy to help! And thank YOU for the comments and feedback! Happy to have you here!
Very nice, throughout explanation of Ind for Dom6 noobies like myself, though I have to ask - what the hell is an effer-all and where can I get a prescription? :D Please type "ethereal" into google and give a listen to the pronunciation, because it's physically painful for me every time you have to say it XD
Haha, yea, everybody likes to pronounce words differently ;) no worries my friend! If I find that prescription for you, I'll be sure to drop it here :P Thanks for dropping by, and thank you for the feedback! Glad to have you here!
the gift of heavens battle against giants was incredible, you would have died without it, no way you were taking on those giants in melee
Right?! Those monsters hit like trucks, so instead of a fair fight, I choose the cosmos! 😂 Thanks for the feedback and comment! I'll try to keep bringing up good uses for these spells in the future!
was this fixed about the AI archery targeting salamander commander mages? Hasnt been happening to me. Air shield still doesnt seem bad though just didnt see this video before i did it
I just got sniped last night on a test game of LA Pyrene where I had a single blood bishop and 10 knights, the indy archers ran right past my knights and shot my commander all by himself repeatedly until he died. I know somebody mentioned there being a separate targeting of "single commanders" in small armies for the indys, but I haven't verified anything about it. Given the fact that (for example) indy commanders (50 command points, no line formations) can have units in line formations might indicate that Illwinter wants indy's to provide a little more randomness/surprise, so they've implemented some of this stuff. That being said: I can't confirm, as I haven't hardcore tested anything, but I'd be happy to if you would help me figure out exactly HOW to ;) Thanks for the comment and feedback!
I just retested it with a blood bishop, 4 cambion knights/2 pyrenian knights and 2 man at arms on guard commander. The knights on each side rushed each other (indy and myself) and the crossbows ran right past the knights fighting and shot my commander repeatedly until he died. I feel like this may still be a thing. More testing would be required obviously, but it still seems like its possible (ironic that this randomly just happened though as we're speaking about it).
@@AOReaper my guess is it has something to do with the bless. I took blood vengeance, enchanted blood, and couple hp boosts. Maybe the AI doesnt want to kill itself on the tankier defensive blesses and it dissuades them compared to reinvig you have? Or reinvig makes them target it specifically. I am a noob and I dont think I've ever had my abysian commander/mage die to an archer. I believe I've always taken some additional "tank' bless for at least 1 extra hp and that would be my guess to trick the ai into not shooting them. I could be completely wrong and just gotten very lucky so far! Though this doesnt make sense for warlocks/regular non sacred commanders. I definitely use the sacred pyro mages and my prophet a lot more than those... Hmmmmm.
@@MichaelSmith-fo6qq Exactly. This is a difficult one to test for, unless you have somebody who can tear apart the code (not me YET), so I think we'll just have to keep it in mind while we hopefully survive against these darn random archers! Abysia too is a little more awkward to test vs LA Pyrene, mostly because of the BASE HP differences. For example: in the last case, I took +10 undying, which would theoretically push the blood bishops over the dragons, but do they count that blessing? Do they choose their target BEFORE the bless goes off, perhaps? That would be interesting, as it would heavily weigh the favor towards blesses that are automatic (i.e. Larger/etc). I'm really curious if there will be a "go-to" bless to protect commanders after detailed testing (i.e. "air shield" for squishy human nations or something - though I doubt this particular one haha). It IS crippling to expansion phase where you often have tiny armies going out to maximize your expansions with minimal cost...
@@AOReaper Alright it happened to me this time as EA abysia. Weird! I guess airshield 100% is necessary. Thanks for that tip. I probably never would have noticed the glitched targeting Was playing a blitz and suddenly 2 of my mages die to the same barrage of arrows ONLY shooting at them. -.-
i find the early expansion sections useful
Glad to hear it! I'll be sure to keep it in here! Thank you for the feedback and comment!
@@AOReaper its one of the most important sections of the game and the users watching this type of content are likely players getting to learn a new nation, so most people watching these will prolly find high value in that section
@@meowmeow9326 I appreciate that, thank you! The insights really help, and I appreciate YOU for that ;)
Great battle simulations. Never tried a turbo communion with marverni (or most nations actually) but it looks extremely effective
Yea, you can check out my other video on communions (in the Dom 6 playlist) - it explains turbo communions in greater detail along with ordinary communions. Super effective when you have a bunch of weak mages, but a few durable/higher level ones to support them. And thanks for the feedback and comment!
you are one of few or unique youtubers that do simulations, I find it really usefull and can give an idea of how that work, thatas awesome
I'm very glad! I'll be sure to keep doing them to help you guys out more! Thanks for the feedback and comment!
thanks for the vid the expension is super important in my view when peoples do a review :)
Ok great! Thanks for the feedback! Most people seem to want for me to crunch these down into a single video, but with less time so I'm always looking for how to crunch out the largest things, but I'll keep expansions in there if they're helpful! And thank you for the feedback and comment!
If it’s dominion dependent spawn just preach with prophet to get 7 candles in province, then stack spawners there. No need to waste design points on domscore just for that
Very possible! As long as players like starting with a lower Dom score (for some other investment) and then want to manually preach it up, that's always an option! Thanks for the comment and feedback!
2/10 guide best things about Ind are dense sacreds with dread/awe or fear, smite spam from comms and rec anywhere H3, rec anywhere cannibal shamen, cheap slave satyrs for patrol, bitch mothers for thugging and rituals like Infernal Disease. Fails to mention most of that in favor of… weak statbless and gogs who are like… good but just better barbs. Also making gog fathers instead of mothers, too. PS piconye troops with BE on them are almost impossible to kill in melee due to high def and prot and 5/square. They aren’t great due to low mapmove, but can be useful. E1 can forge
Normally testing Ind builds I look for 20ish provs by t12 ( more is unrealistic in mp anyways), couple lvl3 researched (awake pretender), maybe a throne if good matchup or more likely starting 1st war
What do you guys think about the long-form content? As exciting as the short form, crunched Dominions stuff? Let me know!
What AI are ya using for the thumbnails?
Various ones. They have a lot out there, Midjourney, Dall e 3, all sorts of em. I've had mixed results with different ones, but I'd try a few!
Which one made the hippo one for this lol
@@thatoneguy5856 LOL I have no idea to be honest! Its kind of hilarious though isn't it? Hahahaha
Should try out either EA Mekone or LA Phlegra
I'll throw 'em on the list! Appreciate the feedback and comment!
I tried 5 games with Ind and was doing fine every time until one of those giant- or heavy armor-nations found me. Really need to try that strength build next.
I really think you'll love it but in the MEANTIME (your current game where you can't change it), try to throw a small communion in there with a few abbot magi in there, and drop "Gifts from Heaven" (Evo level 5, along with stellar cascade spam) on their skulls early in the battle. It'll wipe those goof-balls out, and then if your script switches around order 4-5 to other stuff, you'll be good to go ;) If you keep hitting yourself, do stellar cascade spam in a turbo communion (i.e. "Strong mages are the slaves, weaker mages are the spammers") and watch those giants fall asleep ;) Large size = easy to hit. Let me know how it goes!
oink oink 🐷
Yay! Thank you!
Of course, happy to help! Like I may have mentioned before, I put ALL requests on a list, and it takes me some time to reach them, but I'll always get 'em all :)
