- The Dominions series is considered amongst the best strategy games of all time and Dominions 6 promises to be the best of them all. There are a lot of Quality of Life changes in the game as well as fleshing out new and changed game mechanics. The can be daunting for new players to embrace and so I hope my tutorial series helps to ease you into the game.

I really appreciate all the hard work and effort in showing new players how to play this game. I've been watching youtube guides about this game and your series is the only one that really tries to clarify the mechanics of Dominion. I'm utterly new to Dominion 6 - I still haven't purchased this game, but as I watch more and more, I can certainly see myself enjoying it. Thanks for the help :)
i've seen you do this in multiple videos now and i may be wrong but my understanding of the bless system is that as an example quickness needs 9 water, 1 magic, and 9 bless points to unlock NOT 9 water bless points. bless points are generic and not tied to a specific magic path so 9 water, 2 earth, and 1 magic scale would let you pick quickness. also you can pick over 9 points of water blesses so you could get frost mist weapons & quickness with only 9 water as long as you got sufficient bless points from other magic paths.
Reminds me of Bad Mr. Frosty from Clay Fighters.
Having the demonstration of a bless strategy in action was very effective for getting the system across. I understand it's a lot of work to do that for magic paths as well, but it would be helpful to show how someone could make use of a certain magic path together with a particular faction and why it wouldn't work as well with a different faction.
Play a bunch of games against the AI and try out different magic paths each time until you find something you enjoy playing. Trying out all kinds of crazy and kooky stuff is part of the fun of the game. There is a lot of totally bizarre strats that end up working in this game.
That being said there is also different ways to play each magic path, you can go summoning focus, item forging focus to make lots of thugs, create an army of lesser mages that throw out nukes all battle, etc. Each magic path has multiple playstyles so it isn't that easy to make a video about it.
One important note: Your pretender will only be blessed inside your dominion, outside it he can not be blessed in any way. The pretender will also only auto-bless your sacred units inside your dominion. (this is all assuming it works like in dom 5)

Something im stuggling with concerning blessed units is how many units become blessed for each cast of blessing. Say i set up a preist to cast 5 blessings, does that equate to 3 blessed troops lwr cast? I specifically care because im playiging nidhavagr and the mages are preists so i want to know how many do i need to bless my sacred units and how many can cast other buffs like quicken or group barkskin?
In Dom 5, bless affected all friendly sacreds in an AoE of 5*priestlevel tiles. Divine Blessing hits the entire field with one cast.
How hard would it be to try to go for multiple high costs bless effects? For example unbearable splendour and quickness, as in, the only way I can fit them in is through dumping the scales and starting imprisoned.
unbearable splendour is better with ethereal
it's very hard. that's kind of the point. what you're talking about is called a "hell bless", and it would require you to "dump your scales".
In that type of build, you are compelled to capture a ton of territory all the time to "snowball". This is also called "tempo play". Your territory will not grow, as in population growth, which generates more taxes/income on its own, so you must continue to conquer more territory all the time.
