A real special treat to relieve the "glory days" when Cheap Trick garnered the absolute respect and attention they have deserved every year of their career!
Almost exactly two weeks after my first CT concert - Wiesbaden, Germany, March 5 '79 The band had to enter through the main entrance, where all the fans were already queuing. Never experienced that again.
Two shows each in Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo, plus shows in Fukuoka, Kanazawa, Akita, Sendai, Shizuoka and Sapporo. I think this was the longest Japan tour the band ever did. .
@@nurknanker6105 Yup, I saw them in 1979 at an outdoor college stadium in San Jose, CA. They played 3rd bill. Pat Travers Band, then Cheap Trick and the headliner was Blue Oyster Cult. Cheap Trick played for maybe 80 minutes and were so loud, that my ears were literally ringing 3 days later!!! 😱🎸
A month and a half before my first CT show in Phila in May 1979 with Graham Parker. Met Rick that night. I was 8, unforgettable night. Surprised to see 2 DP songs played here way before the album release
My first Cheap Trick Gig, 5-20-79 Jacksonville Florida, with the Rockets as support! Remember Bun!!?? Do you have that recording!!?? My life was forever changed Thanks!! 🥁🏁
I remember hearing hearing this at high school partys around 1979, and remember thinking these guys are great. Been a fan to this day.

Hey, so nice to hear Dave Wilmer's name mentioned, I was so sad to hear of his passing. My memories of Dave go back to Flight of the Phoenix days.
Showing off one of the band's great strengths: consistency. A year later they sound like they didn't miss a beat.
This tour in 1979 was their most powerful and loudest tour ever!!!!!!!!! CHEAP TRICK!!!!!! 👍🎸
