I was actually AT this show and it was my first time meeting the band back strage. I was still in HS then! Thank you Bun E. for this great memory! Marquette MI, Hedgecock Fieldhouse on NMU campus!
My 15 year old self whole heartedly approves! I will never tire of live versions of "All Shook Up" tunes. We waited so long to hear more than the one soundboard audio recording (from London Nov 5, 1980) from this era. (Too bad we do not have a full Chicagofest '81 Aug 5 Navy Pier show on video) Now all these years later Bun E. has graciously delivered two more! Next time around maybe there is a great tape of Dallas Tx 1/22/81 , San Bernadino, CA 12/28/80 or one of the other shows were Go For The Throat was played second, and Love Comes a Tumbling Down was the set closer to satisfy our craving for this short lived era.
Drumming on GRH is jaw dropping. . . Have seen them about 30 times. Probably would have been double that, but finding shows in the early -internet days were a little funky with my dial-up, . Was walking to my car after work 6/11/97 past a club called Metropol in Pittsburgh, sign said CT playing tonight, stopped, in my tracks, got my ticket, awesome show that night.
As good as Cheap Trick is, you can really hear the difference with Pete Comita playing bass. They miss the best 12 string bass player and that's Tom Petersson. Glad he rejoined the band in 1987. 👍🎸
@@brettthomson3689 Yup!!!!!!! After all those years playing with Tom, it must have been difficult for Bun to all of a sudden be the rhythm section with 2 completely different bass players.

Cheap Trick the best rock band of all time ❤🏁🥰🎶🎸🥁🎩🎤🏁❤️
Some rare gems in here... "I Love You Honey" and "Can't Stop it". Great to hear!
This is amazing...so great to hear those songs from All Shook Up...and "Gonna Raise Hell" is insane!
I needed a Who D King!!!! Bunnnnnn! Just wish I saved that paper Bun E mask I scored when I saw them on this tour.
Thanks Bun E👍🏻
Love this album, love this tour, love this show!
EPIC Gonna Raise Hell!!! My favorite song period 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Unbelievably good… wow
I saw them 3/13/81 just days earlier front row in Wichita, Kansas. My VERY FIRST concert. AWESOME!!!!
Awesome stuff! Thank you, Mr. Carlos.

I fucking love the picture. Bun E with the honey. Robin obliging. Rick pointing out yet another nipple, and Pete just happy.
Top encore !
Was hoping for a Reach Out on this one!
Great song!!!!
I dig the frenetic energy of this show!
Great pic too !

Yeah they were better with real bass players. Even Brandt was an upgrade.
@@itsjohnnymillionYes, I thought Brandt was very good
No disrespect to Pete, but you can hear Rick and Bun playing to make up for the sonic missing piece.

Pete was a fine bass player. Jon Brandt did a great job too. We're all partial to Tom though because he was the original guy.
Thanks Bun, brilliant set list played at what seems like an accelerated tempo. Not the same without Tom though (or you!!)
I can name that tune in two grams.
Heaven tonight=buy
they are flying on Gonna Raise Hell and He's a Whore but they the songs still sound great at a faster tempo.
Robin may have been at the apex of his vocal power at this time.
Looks like that bunny likes you Bun E.
Poor Pete. Lost in 1981. Comita < Brandt < Petersson
Who was playing keys?
Suspect it’s on tape in those days
Robin on "Cant Stop it..."
Dayum, the intro was excruciatingly long!!! But love it otherwise!!!
IMO, Rick seems to be having an off night to my ears.
Rhythms are fire, maybe just the mix.
