DCT's an interesting choice, but that's a pretty compelling package. $50k is expensive, but in BMW land it's decent value for the price. Should be able to do 0-60 under 5 seconds too

Had a ‘17 X1 M sport, then a ‘20 X5 M50i. My wife would differ, but I prefer a more nimble vehicle like this X1 M235i. You don’t need more vehicle for most situations.

Ben. I have owned three BMWs and overall, I loved them. Every one I have ever driven has lived up to its old tagline of, "The Ultimate Driving Machine" because they are all great handling vehicles, in my opinion. Here is the funny thing about them, and I am dating myself a bit, but I have always called them the "Banana Republic" (store) of vehicles because more so back in the day, Banana Republic clothes were for the urban, stylish, trendy guy that looked great for a minute but not meant to last, so then it was on to the next thing. BMWs look great, but like Land Rovers, just lease them. After 100,000 miles, (maybe sooner) the electronics and other expensive out of warranty things begin failing.....So.....On to the next thing.

In general BMW (77%), Audi (70%), Land Rover (69%), & Benz (67%) are the top 4 most leased vehicles. Most people don't want them past the warranty.

The problem with the X1 is the problems you have with everything in the screen. Not daily driver material!

The real comparison to the standard X1 shows you get maybe a second more speed 0-60mph, but poorer gas mileage and a bumpier ride and no spare tire for about $10K more than a comparably equipped standard X1. If you’re happy to give up a rear window wiper/washer in addition, go for an X2😢

The standard X1 is a better deal- better ride, better mileage, spare tire, only a second slower to 60mph.

I hate blacked out vehicles now. It feels a bit tacky unless its done really well. Im a huge audi fan and i cant stand when the 4 rings are blacked out and just blend into a sea of black completely invisible and monotonous
