The Chinese ASUS ROG RTX 4090 announcement didn't really go as planned, as the heavy RTX 4090 FALLS OUT OF THE MOTHERBOARD! At least it shows how resistant the ASUS RTX 4090 can be I guess! Would love to see some RTX 4090 gameplay on that model, as this is Linus Drop Tips level of painful. Are you getting an RTX 4090 or any new RTX 4000 graphics card? Let me know down in the comments!

Support it? Any +2 slot card has the same issue. I have an amiibo and a black pen tube cut to length for the same job currently. Not necessary, but I like being able to pick up my case and manhandle it w/o anything moving.

This is the ROG Strix 4090. It is a 14 inch video card in length. It will be the largest video card so far with the 40 series with length. All the 4090 cards are huge.

Remember folks to securely connect your motherboard to your GPU. Freaking insane how large that card is. Yes the board is mini ITX but its still an insane size for a card.
On the next episode I will hold it by the board and use it as a dust pan.
Why would you hold it by the MOBO, just grab the 4090 by the heat shroud. There’s much less dangling mass, and if the MOBO falls with the CPU you’re much less likely to lose a $2000 product.
At this point we will need even bigger computer cases....

I just bought a PC with an RTX 4080 and I was shocked to see the size of it in person... After an hour or so, I realized that the GPU even has a support pillar...
I'm gonna have to use an PCI-E extension and install it by the window, unless these come with an anti-sag product I can't install this the normal way lol.
just use lego blocks to hoist it up. thats what ive done in the past

Idk what he was saying but I think it's pretty clear they were testing whether the PCI-E slot could keep the card from falling on it's own. Considering his motherboard is sideways and tilted down, this would never actually happen though.
Gpu integration or motherboard design needs to be totally redesigned. The way a gpu fits into a motherboard made sense when gpus were much smaller and lighter. Today this doesn’t make any sense and in a way I’m glad this was demonstrated this way. We need an entirely new configuration
