  • Alright rock n rollers. Here's the full show. For those of you new to my channel, I use a Olympus LS-10 wave recorder to capture the awesome live audio. That's why its so damn good. Always pointing at the amps for great sound. For filming I use a Canon SX 210 IS digital camera. I really need to upgrade. This camera has taken a beating over the years.
Once again I apologize for the shakiness. I just don't have steady hands. I hold both recorders together to film. Also you'll see black spots from where I pause the filming or the camera stops every 23 min. Haven't figured that one out yet as I usually just film songs and never full shows. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy what I was able to bring back from this amazing show. Some will love it, some will hate it. I fukkin loved it. Might try and catch the VH show in San Antonio.

To all you haters...Dave has always sounded like this. I've collected lots of their bootleg concerts, with the exception of 1978 or 79, this is what Van Halen sounds like with Dave.

I was there; great show. I was actually out on Make-A-Wish, so we saw the whole soundcheck, were brought back to Eddie's dressing room to meet him, he played and signed my replicas, etc. It was nuts. The Van Halen family is at the top of their game...Thanks for uploading this.

I've saying this for the past 3 years guys. Michael was rocket booster on vocals and bass. The kid is doing his thing as best he can and Ed can hire whoever he deems sufficient to the task. But would Wolf have passed an AUDITION along with hundreds of others? You do the math. We want Mike!

I think some of you knocking Dave could maybe take a break and mention how damn good EVH is sounding. AVH too for that matter. After Hendrix this guy changed guitar playing and here he is, still doing it.

Shaky hands or not quality is very good or better considering circumstances.I only made the 2nd show vs. 3 or 4 of the 2007/2008 and this tour much better. Many expect the David of 1984,it aint happening! Never had the greatest range to begin with.Hes a showman and Eddie will always be the show. Its a no brainer have a set with Dave and a set with Sammy.Even with hip hop,boy bands and the hard rockin, but still girl band Nickelback it would be a top tour of 2013/14. Thanks for bringing me to Vegas

Yeah I know. The more I read about the dislike of DLR's vocals, the more I can certainly understand. There was a time in the show where I did think, man just sing. These songs stand better with Dave's aging vocals than they will with anyone elses. I could be wrong. I had a great time and it appeared everyone else did at the show as well.

It really was the stage persona n the antics of Roth that made this band in as much as it was the guitar of Eddie.
Moreover, they had Anthony on bass who could do great background vocalizing.
Wolfgang can start his own band with people his own age.

The vocals are simply atrocious but EVH, Al and Wolf are a tight unit and sound fantastic! What a rush it's got to be for Wolfie when he gets up on that drum riser and plucks those heavy intro lines to "Runnin With the Devil"! Everyone misses MA but let's all take a minute and give credit where it's due...we may never have heard from VH again if it weren't for Wolfgang and the kid CAN PLAY!

Seriously, what makes Dave such a great frontman today? His shoe shuffling on his little wood floor? Grinning like an idiot from ear to ear? His tired "I forgot the f*%king words" shtick from the 80s? His horribly out of key vocals? Forgetting words to his own songs? Spinning a baton? What is it exactly now? He's an embarrassing lounge act now.

    • @GameStormLPs

That's it what him makes so perfect, that's the fact that he complete isn't perfect makes him so perfect. Show the ''Downtown session'' here sing dave good because he know all eyes watching like he sing.

Important fact : dear fans of good rock and hard rock music we all know there are growing number of bad critics about our favorite band members, for example : "Kirk Hammet play so sloopy recently" , or Lars Urlich poor drumming, David Lee Roth crappy singing etc etc etc..Do you know most of this comments is coming from people who are listening Beyonce, Drake, Justin Bieber and similar pop music,...this is done on purpose to destroy Rock Music ! W e all know that Rock will never die, but we all can help and discourage such dirty comments, with writing opposite positive comments (like WOW how amazing performance from Dave ! " or Lars really kicked ass, or Kirk solo was amazing , and similar positive comments !) There is too much conflicts and disrespect on youtube comments, we can fight this negativity and if we True Rock music lovers, write more and more positive comments, we can awake this force of positive vibrations and his world will be much more beautiful and happy place with much less suicides and no wars ! I really listen all those bands and most of this comments are much more negative than reality is ! wish love and good times and Happy New Year to all :)))

Dave didn't give his seat to Sammy.Eddie was going to have different vocalists, including Pete Townsend for the new album and Eddie gave Sammy a call..Dave is the one whose ego got bigger and wanted to be a MOVIE STAR...They still play a lot of songs before Sammy joined VH,even a few when he was with Montrose on the radio and he was still making albums before he got the call from Eddie.I don't think they play any songs of Dave's after he quit VH on the radio..

  • @williamclark4553

I think Dave's vocals are just strained. There is no way Dave voice has gone from great to OK since the past tour. Like I said, I think they're just strained from the 2 years straight he's been recording and playing over 50 two-hour shows in 60 days.

I was born in the late 80's and this is what I grew up listening to. VH has always been my favorite band. But I am very sorry, David Lee Roth didn't even try. He looks ridiculous spinning and dancing like an old lady and the vocals were lame. He is just smiling like he's lost and kinda remembers hearing these songs a long time ago. There's no hope for humanity.

he is one of the best kind of idiots there are: a fun one. and flamboyant, too. which makes for great rock n roll entertainment. And I love his voice, I realy do. I like Hagar , too, of course, but I prefer the way Roth becomes a character when he sings and the kind of intonation he chooses for the words he sings. which some may call - as i said before - "having a personality"
