As a Camaro fan/owner, I would never buy a Mustang out of principle. But something isn't right, that car only getting a 12.9 on the quarter with 480 horses. Not that anyone buying this car will try for themselves. They'll get bought up just to be auctioned off in 20 years
They clearly stated the conditions made the times longer and implied it is faster than the numbers.
@@1compaqedr8 motor week has historically always had slower times posted than the average of the other automotive publications. Compare any test they do to motor trend, for example, and they're usually 3 to 6 tenths of a sec slower.
@Camaro SS your listening comprehension is bullshit
Yeah , these guys might be getting old or something. My 2015 gt with just a cat back does 12.8 at 113mph on all season Michelin pilot sport all season tires and doesnt rev to 7500 like the bullut. Is this car even heavier maybe ?
if the regular GT Mustang can do it in 4.2s and 12.5s then so can the Bullitt
Since Ford isn't doing anything about the typewriter tick, not buying another one again! Also, the clutch forks are failing prematurely and all they are doing is replacing the transmission with a new one that has yhe same exact problem. No, thank you!
then you're only option is Challenger or Camaro
How much do we have to pay to see Mr.John Davis himself do a burnout in this car?..... please John,do a burnout.
you'd have to be a numbskull to buy this in black...
I did. Every time I start washing it I tell myself that I should have got the green one. Every time I finish washing it I’m so happy I got the black one. Put them next to each other and you will se that green is beautiful - but black is badass 😎
4.7 is not great for a 480hp car
it will match an 18 GT Mustang so it's 12.5s and 4.2s
Keith Johnson - Shelby GT500 agreed, but even those numbers are not get for the HP . We also have a 2016 GT and I have always felt it should be faster. Traction and weight are the stangs biggest killer
@@Canaz73 - the 18 Mustang GT 10A matched a Lexus LFA with an 11.8s 1/4 mile pass bone stock
I wouldnt take their numbers as written in stone.. the car, the weather and the driver will vary the result
They clearly state in the video that bad weather conditions (probably too cold to get decent traction with summer tires) prevented better times and that they previously got .5 sec faster times with a GT in better weather. I know that with my Mach 1 and summer tires, if the temps are in the 30's it is like driving in the rain - the tires just spin over 4000 rpms in 1st and 2nd.
from 3:04 i lost this guy till the end it was like a joke to me , not hating and nice car though
2 for me pls☺️😎
Camaro owners are mad
DUNEYXZ why? The camaro still destroys this car LMMFAO. Way faster and more comfortable. Research it and you’ll see the facts. I still love the Stang though not hating just stating the facts. They’re both bad ass cars.
More comfortable? 😂😂😂
Alex Cortez yep 😂😂😂
@@TrumpWon45-47 2019 Bullitt Mustang is 480 hp. 2019 Camaro SS is 455 hp. 2019 Mustang Bullitt weight is 3705 lbs, 2019 Camaro SS is 4113 lbs. So tell me again how the Camaro SS is faster if it has less horsepower and is over 300 pounds heavier? I know Chevy guys are rarely the sharpest tool in the shed but the math is pretty simple. Also, both of these cars are not "bad ass"; one of these cars is bad ass, the other one is a Chevy.
@@TrumpWon45-47 ; Research tells me the Camaro is on the chopping block.
C7 all day baby
Why do you test it on a track and mention no time in relation to other tested cars on this track. This say nothing but subjective impressions!
The new 5.0 liter motor has issues and too much plastic parts. Bring back the Pinto motor !!
Crowd approved 😂😂😂
Get some new jokes dude

oh no...
stop watch this video at 030...
not like this ford car
It’s an ugly catfish looking car, needs the gt350r front facia.
Slow numbers, even with the previous year summer temps. Mustangs should be low-4s with that power output. Sad!
Man, take a deep breath and relax! No need to shout during the whole video, really, that's so annoying I left after 2 minutes.
2018 Ford Mustick tick tick boom
Nope
bigwillchill shut up libtard
You must read lots of UA-cam comments on the new mustang.
3 makes a crowd so be careful a mustang might just mow yall down
gosh you're so witty
tell us what you drive
Still very slow. Still can’t match corvettes from 15 years ago. Horrendous.
A 2008 Corvette was doing 12.7 @114mph and weighed 3300lbs , had 2 seats and was $60k . This car is close and puts up better track numbers and is still $13k less money with way more features 10 years later. You could put $8k into the mustang and get a Ford warranty with your supercharger.
A 2003 vette was getting smoked by the SVT cobra .... Stop trolling and do something with your life .If vetted were so great they wouldn't have to take $7000 off the price to sell them.

@@zachhampton7163 I guess that's why the sell 80,000 -120,000 mustangs a year ......LMAOOOOO
well Zachy, the Bullitt should run the same as the GT, so it's Motor Week and not the Car
Japan taste
I was a ford fan bck n the day, but i must say, im not tht impressed by this Mustangs performance 😭😳. Id prob still get an save alil more for a gt350 ! 👏👌💪😎
the Bullitt does 60 in 4.2s and the 1/4 in 12.5s
@@Ford_Raptor_R_720hp_V8 well they must of had a bad test driver on this episode on this new stang ! 😏Hmmmm 😌 lol
Still slower than a 1987 Buick GNX
How do you figure? A stock GNX did the quarter in the low 13's. Modded, it could be faster, of course. Then it's just a matter of how much you want to spend.
Rusting slower at least 😊
