Top Gun Maverick without a doubt. Glen Powell as Hangman and Miles Teller as Rooster alone make Maverick a better movie. 😁

Maverick is the rare occurrence where the sequel is superior to the first movie. Aliens, Empire Strikes Back are the two that come to mind immediately.

Hearing Joseph confirm my suspicions of an upcoming 4K release of Tron: Legacy excites me SO MUCH! Seeing that film with HDR and Dolby Atmos with an higher quality encode is gonna be glorious. Can't wait!

Firstly - awesome job. I really like this show and thanks for your effort you put in. I really enjoyed this episode as it's my favourite movie.
Ok... Interesting he mentioned the F1 movie being for Apple - I'm guessing it's a streaming movie which if so is such a shame. I hope it finds a cinema release. Also Tron Legacy.... REALLY happy there's a remaster but what I'd really love is for the digital effects on Jeff to be refined and redone. Sadly they aged very quickly from a technical perspective. And finally, great to hear him basically firebomb the thought of another TopGun that must UA-camrs have been running riot with recently. Maverick was the perfect bookend - it's done. Move on.

The F1 movie will get a big theatrical release, it's part of the contract that they made with Apple. You can read it up in the news articles when the news broke that Apple got this film.
this movie was great fun, I'd love to see a follow up where we go more into depth on some of the smaller characters like Fanboy, Phoenix, Payback, Coyote and my sweet boy BOB. all of those actors are so fantastic and it would be wonderful to see them get to do more!
Actually I've watched Legacy more than 100 times. I love watching and listening to it to fall asleep. Daft Punk score is just incredible. Made some ringtones and message tones etc on my cell...Rinzler music just rocks...

It's interesting Joseph thought Top Gun is in its own universe, not the real world, even though the subject matter Top Gun school does exist. I hope he can be Ace Combat director next. The world of Strangereal must've been more vast and exciting.

Are we never going to talk about the age problems? If Mav was a JG in 1986 he would be in his 30's. Rooster was around 6 in the 86 bar scene. They would be in their late 60's and late 30's respectively. Neither would be on that mission.

The original opening made more sense: after Danger Zone cut to Maverick in lower deck. Otherwise the Danger Zone opening has nothing to do with the entire story.
