And I will be right behind you mean the man missed Spending Valentines with his wife for these interviews he said so himself on stage He Absolutely Deserved it has to be only choice to win but Yes Fully Agree I will be right there 😮
Can't wait to hear "And the Oscar goes to... Cillian Murphy-Oppenheimer!" I've waited for this moment for years and years... Edit: HE WON!!! CONGRATS CILLIAN❤️🇮🇪👏🎉
That's actually true. This and last year he gives interviews a lot , and what's more important he really enjoys it , not always, but most of the time . I think the fact that with success of Oppenheimer he began to get interviews and interviewers he wants is really best about it all. And for sure he became more confident i guess because of the attention that he deserves and because of his brilliant friends who appreciate him like RDJ or Chris
I've noticed during this campaign Cillian has become way more comfortable and open than he used to be in interviews. And with Josh asking him great questions it makes for a lovely interview.
Absolutely well deserved Oscar wins for Oppenheimer, the movie was incredible, one of the best I have seen in a long time. Happy to see Christopher Nolan get his long deserved Oscar win for best director, truly one of the greatest directors today. Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. gave the performances of a lifetime in the movie, happy to see them win too.
"Normal boring self". . . . It's been wonderful to see so much of him as a result of Oppenheimer. That said, this intensely private, introspective, intelligent man deserves to go back to his normal natural life. He graciously put up with so many interviews, some of which were absolutely idiotic where the interviewer didn't even know how to pronounce his name. Not Josh though your interviews are spot on. Thanks Josh.
Cillian is such a delight to listen to. So eloquent and thoughtful. I like how he's become more comfortable lately in interviews. I'm just so happy and proud to see him getting all this deserved recognition.
during peaky years, i realised its never gonna end up with cillian holding an oscar. this is my year. the year i have waited for. even if he doesnt win,,, the idea that he just might, and he could. thats enough. he is so real, human and so beautiful.
It’s so good to see Cillian finally get the recognition he deserves, especially after months of media and promoting this movie. He is the only actor who should win the Oscar without a doubt
Thank you for this, Josh! Can’t tell you what Cillian means to we Irish diaspora who feel such an immense pride and edifying connection to see him in absolutely anything, much less something this culturally and historically important. ❤️🙏🏻
Josh horiwitz is the gold standard for podcasting, panels, conversations, hosting, and interviews. I cannot wait to see Rick glassman opposite Josh. What a lovely awards season its been. This class has generated such wonderful conversations and ideas. Cheers
His voice is so relaxing I could perfectly take a nap listening to him. I was so happy when he won the Oscar finally a worthy celebrity🥰Come to Spain Cillian we want to dance some sevillanas for you
I said this elsewhere yet I believe Cillian relaxed into the OPPENHEIMER l-o-n-g press / award time as he approached the release of SMALL THINGS LIKE THESE. He has produced before yet now he is creating films and opportunities for others as was dome for him. And the Oscar goes too... CILLIAN MURPHY!
Definitely the best Cillian Murphy interview I've seen these days. They always ask the same questions all over again but this one is a fresher take on him and "Oppenheimer" and I also like the questions in the end. Lovely interviewer, natural and respectful and you can see that Cillian feels more comfortable than usual. Thank you!
I was so buzzed from the moment that Josh asked about that monologue scene in Disco Pigs. That scene I still remember so well, because it's where I just thought well fuck, this actor really has some raw chops in him. I'm not surprised it was lifted straight from the play because I felt like I was watching theater, it had that kind of live, very immersive quality to it. First time I've ever seen anybody ask Cillian about it! So happy to also see Josh lift scenes from Peaky Blinders that were meaningful to viewers. And ask about the Oppenheimer script, I watched the 60 minutes interview, and was frustrated that they didn't actually ask Cillian about his approach and what kind of notes he makes, since he clearly makes them a lot. So glad to see that was asked as well! So simply excellent Josh! You're definitely up there with interviewers. A relatable laid back attitude and always interesting questions about the work.
Mr. Horowitz asks some really good questions. He asks more cinephile questions, which I think is not a common thing in interviews. I hope there will be more interviews like this. For me, the Hitchcock/Truffaut interview is at the top of all such interviews/conversations. I don't know if you've read it, Mr. Horowitz, but I think it's a very, very important interview/conversation from a cinematic perspective. "What questions should be asked about a movie?" I think Hitchcock/Truffaut is the best example of this.
It's good to see Cillian Murphy more confident talking in an interview. He seems to enjoy himself & talks more.. I absolutely wish him the Oscar, the most pretigious award of all. It will be his crowning victory which he so well deserved👍👍👍👏👏🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆💐💐💐 0:
Cillian’s greatest performance….sitting there and acting as if he enjoyed this interview 😂 Kidding Josh, I know you’re a deep fan of his work & he genuinely seems to appreciate your interview.
I’ve always been an admirer & fan of Cillian Murphy’s work. He’s been giving outstanding performances for years… Oppenheimer being some of the best acting I’ve ever seen in my life. I truly do believe he is the best actor of his generation. I’ve really loved getting to know him as a man & actor this awards season. I’ve enjoyed his interviews so much talking about his roles & his craft. It’s been a highlight to see him on stage winning awards he so rightfully deserves. Cillian absolutely should be holding a SAG on Sunday & an Oscar in a few weeks time. It’s about time we award this man with the recognition he deserves. I’ll be cheering him on 🏆
Firstly, Cillian, I am a fan of yours ever since I started loving films at a very young age. I have watched every single movie you are in, and you always inspire me. You gave me a dream of acting, and now I am trying my best to be an amazing actor like you are someday, even if it seems impossible. You are a great man, you are humble, always caring to your loved ones, and your dedication cannot be compared to any other actor in this planet. As a superfan who grew up watching your movies, your acting, almost my entire life, it was just a dream come true. I know you are tired of fame, you know the paparazzi and all are very stressful, and for me too, seeing you having more and more fans makes me sad for some reason, maybe because you are not a unknown, new actor that only I love anymore. I respect your very private life, not involving yourself on social media is a wise choice. Cillian, your movies, your acting was the things that got me through tough times when I couldn't rely on anyone else. When I was lonely and sad, when I was stressed out. Maybe if it wasn't for your movies, I wouldn't be the person I am today. I remember being a young child and teenager, just crying in bed, thinking about how meeting you will be impossible and to be honest, being jealous of your sons and wife hahaha. I have always dreamt of meeting you someday but it is getting harder now, I hope that my dream will come true in the near future. Thank you so much. Your attitude about fame and life is something very inspiring. I never fail to learn something new, something very valuable, something very inspiring from your interviews and your lifestyle. Seeing you in a movie with such a great cast, director and crew was just a dream come true. I had always dreamt of you getting the attention you deserved in the near future and I am glad that now you get the attention you deserve although you deserve more. I would also like to thank you for just being someone to look up to, a role model, for me ever since I was a kid. Thank you so much. This movie, the awards you received, and the many awards that you are about to receive is just the beginning. Your talent will soon be revealed to the world and you will get even more attention that you deserve. I am so happy to see you happy in a while, you look very happy here, or maybe it's because I have seen a lot of videos where you don't look very happy. I hope that only happy things will happen to you now, and I hope that my dream will really come true someday. I have supported you from the beginning of your journey until now, and I am proud to call myself a fan of yours. I will always be there to support you until the end of line, and I really hope to meet you and talk to you as a fellow actor. I don't have the words, I don't have the time to type all the things I am grateful to you, all the things you did to make my life better. You now are a part of my life, someone I cannot imagine to live without. Thank you so much for everything. Next stop, Academy Award! Can't wait for your speech at the Oscars! ❤
The first movie I saw him in was On The Edge. I have the video cassette still but no VCR. Still hanging onto it. He fascinated me as an actor and I’ve watched everything I can get my hands on. It’s wonderful that he’s recognized as the excellent actor he is.
This is such an amazing interview. I hope he wins the Academy Award for Oppenheimer, he gave a phenomenal performance in a phenomenal film and deserves all the accolades he can for this film. As for the comment about Gary Oldman being considered for Scarecrow, Nolan himself said in The Fire Rises documentary about the making of the trilogy that he looked at Oldman as being Ra’s al Ghul and talked to him about it, but he told Nolan that he didn’t really want to do another villain and after thinking about other characters he asked him to be Gordon. Perhaps Scarecrow came up in the conversation as well, which is why Oldman believes it was Scarecrow he was asked to play, but according to Nolan it was Ra’s al Ghul.
Very good interviewer, he is well informed and not trying to overthrow the guest. Saw Oppenheimer then a few days later saw Barbie… they were both wonderful, one reality followed by a fun light moment. Very nice to have an insight to the great actor.
Never watched Gone With The Wind. That is my absolute favorite movie. Oh, I would love to make him watch the movie. Why, Scarlett was half Irish. Glad he is relaxed and enjoying this interview though. Thank you.
ANOTHER truly amazing interview with Cillian!!! I adored every moment of this video. Love that Josh is able to excite Cillian with great questions and great conversation. It is so obvious that Cillian enjoys talking with Josh, and I love to see how passionate Cillian truly is and how much pride he takes in his work. Thank you, Josh, for an amazing interview and such a wholesome conversation with Cillian!
I loved Cillian Murphy playing Thomas Shelby. I was hooked on him from there right away. And we women must say, "he's easy on the eyes". After watching Oppenheimer 5 times, Cillian is the best actor I've seen in a very long time. What a great, great actor!! I hope he wins The Academy Award! He deserves it. Imho, the others up against him, which I watched all their movies, just don't have a chance in hell. Oppenheimer was an Epic Movie that blew many people away, the characters beside Cillian delivered totally awesome performances. Now, I am watching Batman Begins, The trilogy. Loving that one too! Thank you Christopher Nolan for seeing that "something" in Cillian that you don't see everyday!!!! Me, myself am in awe of all the great talent in Oppenheimer!!! More Cillian please!!!
Why are there so few views here? This interview is well done, the questions are very interesting and deep, this is one of Cillian's most interesting interviews! This is a great job man, you deserve better!
Awesome interview Josh! Man, is crazy how fast it went, tbh this literally how I end up going to see this masterpiece and I’m not lying this literally me being very honest. When I was going to see GOTG Vol. 3 wasn’t even care or thinking about Oppenheimer, before than I knew Christopher Nolan, his work and when the preview plays for Oppenheimer I saw directed by Christopher Nolan (again I knew his name and his work) I was like wait Christopher Nolan have a new movie cool, but it didn’t really motivate me to go see Oppenheimer tbh, I didn’t want to bc how loud it was. So I went see Barbie like a little late bc my summer fun (like I went to a trip for a week) but when I saw Barbie didn’t even liked it I was aware with Barbenheimer so I was walking I remember walking out the theater saw the movie poster I was ‘well Barbie sucked didn’t even care about that movie at ALL’ so I didn’t care about Oppenheimer that much at the time, so I end up going to see it, day before I watched every promo interview to get me hyped (sort of) but I was actually 35 minutes late by times mess ups, end up loving it and saw it second time to redeeming my first time. Love this movie Cillian did incredible job, as well the cast and Christopher Nolan oh come give some love ❤️. Although the story I wanna say time flies, had so much fun to see them winning awards, promo interviews, seeing a lot more Cillian recently, Nolan as well, Jimmy Kimmel tonight so excited with Cillian, Blunt and Downey, SAG Awards, cannot WAIT FOR OSCARS, after Oscars we won’t see this incredible crew again 😢. Sorry this is very long.
Love Cillian such an underrated actor obviously hes getting all the attention for Oppennheimer . He was always a great actor just didnt get the recognition. I agree he must be sick of all these interviews n the same questions over n over again its like a world tour of interviews. He said himself he hates the limelight doesnt like the attention . He's an irishman from County Cork. My neck of the woods 🇮🇪
I was in Nairobi, Kenya. A popular mode of transportation is the “Mattatoos” - mini buses/vans used in lieu of a city wide bus system. The mini van drivers decorate their vans to distinguish them from each other. I saw one van with a picture of Tom Shelby and the writing “don’t mess with the Peaky Blinders” or some such quote from the show. I was too impressed with how popular that show was to be in East Africa emblazoned on a mini van!
Love Cillian Murphy he so amazing actor absolutely love Peaky Blinders he is perfect man. Like everything about him ❤ He deserves 🏆 win Oscar. Cillian is naturally pure nice charismatic also gentleman
Thanks for watching! Make sure to subscribe to the channel so you don't miss any of my chats!
He had better win an Oscar for Best Lead Actor in Oppenheimer and get cast as Dr Doom in MCU
I watched Cillian in Oppenheimer over 20 times. I LOVE IT
You sound like a good man and do a good job on your interviews
How do you book someone for interviews on your show and website?
What a great interviewer you are, good listener and you ask interesting qustions.
If my man does not win the Academy Award after going through so much of media interviews, events and red carpet appearances, I am gonna riot.
And I will be right behind you mean the man missed Spending Valentines with his wife for these interviews he said so himself on stage He Absolutely Deserved it has to be only choice to win but Yes Fully Agree I will be right there 😮

Haha and he hates doing this stuff too! You know he’s been encouraged or contracted to do it all
😂😂😂
@@sumitdhiman9026 yes, we all!
Dude was totally fan girling. He was quite literally blushing at the end saying thank you lol. Was cute.
That’s I was thinking 😂😂
No certain fans❤😮😂🎉
He must be shattered from the Oppenheimer press going on months now
It’s not press. It’s award campaigning.
He’s fine
I don’t think so, he has said he’s learned to even enjoy it, feels like celebrating the film.
When he wins his Oscar he'll have to get up on stage and give a speech and he'll hate it lol
True. He’s been a good sport about it though!
Can't wait to hear "And the Oscar goes to... Cillian Murphy-Oppenheimer!"
I've waited for this moment for years and years...
Edit: HE WON!!! CONGRATS CILLIAN❤️🇮🇪👏🎉
Are you his auld one or something?
OMG THAT WOULD BE AWESOME
are you his mom?
love people on the internet taking credit for success of a person who doesn't even know or care they exist

He's such a humble and secure man.. He's so real. His wife is so lucky to have an ego free man.
It's so nice to see how much more confident he is in this interview in comparison to the first one, while keeping that humbleness in both.
Yeah I noticed he's really comfortable here.
That's actually true. This and last year he gives interviews a lot , and what's more important he really enjoys it , not always, but most of the time . How refreshing to hear an interview with a serious actor.

Cillian Murphy deserves to win the Oscar

Cillian is such a delight to listen to. So eloquent and thoughtful. I like how he's become more comfortable lately in interviews. I'm just so happy and proud to see him getting all this deserved recognition.

Such an excellent and chill interview. Was also inspired to go with a black blob!
HE DESERVES THE OSCAR, ik i bet he’s so tired of answering the same kinds of questions
Yes cill take some rest take care of you zelf and you look always beautyful ❤❤love you ❤❤
I was in Nairobi, Kenya.
I love him. Peaky blinders!
There will be a sequel for "28 Days Later" with Cillian and Danny ? 🤯
Now that is amazing news. 🥳
Congratulations 🥂 Cillian ☘️💚☘️🇮🇪1st ever Irish ☘️ born actor to win a Oscar award 🥇 💚🇮🇪🥂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

"Work begets work," is only applicable if you're professional, and pleasant to work with. His opportunities say alot about him.
I wish more people would ask him about The Wind that Shakes the Barley
Who agrees that you see a lot of Cillian Murphy video recommendations on UA-cam after he won the golden globes 😊😊😊
He is looking young again😂😂
I've been a huge fan of his since 28 days later, so I was so glad to see him be an absolute lead in a very huge Nolan movie.
