i just started collecting manga, currently have all of death note, attack on titan, and close to all of my hero academia, seeing this makes me so excited to collect more manga. this video also has super good editing for it being 4 and a half hours long, good job making the video and nice collection 👍

3:30:37 Nice to see another collection with SGT Frog 🐸 It was the first Series I ever read (Around 07/08) & so far I have Vols. 1-19 & 21, I got 21 for £40 which is the most I've ever spent on a single Volume I am hoping that I finally get 20 in 2023 but it's really difficult to get hold of in the UK 😬 Don't really want to buy it from the US because it takes ages to get here but if that's what I have to do 🤷♂️ I've read 1-17 & 19 all several times over but 18 only once as I managed to get it for quite cheap on eBay a few months ago 🤩❤️ & 21 I've only read half of because I want to wait until I get 20 before I read the rest of the Volume & once I get that I will finally have the complete series in English after all this time
For one punch man I also feel something similar. Of course the garou arc is good but I like the chapters in between arcs so much more than the actual battles which sucks because Muratas art is during the battles is insane

Kindle unlimited/amazon prime is a bit spoty for how much of a manga series is available through it, Shaman king is one of the few I've found that are fully included, also Mars, and Initial D. One that gets pretty close but for, is Princess Jellyfish which has 7/9 volumes included. Out of the 3 complete ones I think Mars is the best one by quite a big margin.
i find that made in abyss (esp the manga) has a lot of problems w/ sexualization of the characters :/ two mains are around 12 yrs old i think? i watched the anime and it doesnt have nearly as many issues but the manga is a no from me..
I'm jealous of how many volumes of Btooom you managed to grab. I read most of it back in the day and loved it, but only sought out the volumes when it had already gone out of print. Now the set is going for over a thousand dollars, so I don't see myself getting the chance to read through it any time soon. Wish it could get reprinted, but I doubt it ever will. I'm surprised I managed to get more volumes of Blood Blockade Battlefront than you. Not everything mind you, volume 5 doesn't seem to exist, but I'm totally with you in wishing it could exist in an accessible manner. I really hope we could get a season 3 that could trigger a reprint or even just a printing of part 2 and part 3 whenever that starts to comes out. BBB is right up with Hunter x Hunter as my favorite anime/manga series of all time. I'm holding out hope that it could get the Dark Horse Deluxe Edition treatment. From what I know about its reputation paired with how out of print it is and with there being a new anime, it seems like it's one of the most likely series to join Berserk, Hellsing, and Blade of the Immortal. The funny thing about those editions is I think they are the best English manga editions out there (talking just about the build of the book), when I would say the Dark Horse Single Volumes are probably the worst English manga editions (and that's not even considering how they go out of print quicker and more permanently than any other publishers). Don't know if I can talk about Dark Horse without ranting about them.
Trigun video goes in deeper on my thoughts but I think the manga is amazing from start to finish, but the story the anime tells is also amazing while being stylistically similar to the manga, so both are great!
I'm really enjoying Seraph of the End personally. My library has it and im currently about to start volume 19 of it and I really enjoy it. The library near me also has older series like MARS, The Cain Saga, Godchild, Ceres: Celestial Legend, Alice19th, among many other titles. I'm thankful that my library has so much manga in their building. Especially the older series. I grew up with Inuyasha as well and I remember spending time learning how to sing the openings and endings to it and did learn how. (The japanese ones.) I am really loving Haikyu recently though. Idk if it is because I played volleyball at vacation bible school in middle school and i never moved from where the server gives the ball out because i could hit across the net from serving a lot. Ajin is a recent favorite as well and I rly hope to own it eventually. Some of my favorite CLAMP series are Chobits and Clover even though Clover got cancelled. I hate that it did though cause I thought it was a good series.

The anime was a big part of my youth and I need to finally read the series. I've never read it because I didn't know it tells a bigger story than the anime (duh!). I also ordered the first NGE omnibus since it's been a loooong time that I read the series (and back in the day I read small , beat up librabry editions, so now I am super excited for the bigger prints.) You gave me a bunch of other news - Berserk will be coninued by the original team (I hope I got this right, English is not my native language)? That's awesome, and, like you said, the best possible outcome - but we also have the freedom to say: nah, I'd like to keep it as it is. Anyway, beautiful, stunning collection and a really nice insight into your thoughts and reasons when picking up a series. PS: I am so jealous of your guys' special sales :( Wishing my country had that sometimes!

The reason why UA-cam is failing recommending your vids to others is because your content release is not consistent. One day you upload a 2 hr video essay, then the next is a manga haul. YT recommends vids more often the more it is reliable to recommend your vids. Because your next vid may be not as popular (which it wasn't really made to be tbh), YT doesn't have a super selective algorithm which understand what vid's purpose is what. It recommends a channel's content, not content on the basis of content only (with rare exception like trends).
size aside, I loooove when people take the effort to explain why they love their manga series in collection vids

Just be patient and keep an eye out on ebay, took me about two years to get a full set of Btooom but I didn't pay anything $15 for a volume.
