Some clips from ZCon flights that never made it onto my channel over the year.
Waterfall: On this day the wind was calm everywhere... apart from at the location of the waterfall! It was so windy that it wasn't as much fun as I'd hoped and I didn't get chance to get as close to the water as I'd hoped.
Vikings: This location has a set that changes a lot all of the time, I was a little disappointed the viking boats were not there for my flight, as they usually were. The surrounding area is so nice to fly and this is my 3rd video featuring this spot.
Crash: this temporarily pulled the servo cable out of my Rx for a moment so it went into failsafe... and then I was able to regain control luckily. If that servo cable had not reconnected I'd have been waiting there in the dark for it to come down!
Rock on Landing: This was unlucky, as you can see it didn't look bad through the goggles but some damage was done. It was only a lens protector on the Osmo Action so that is replaced and I've reprinted the nose. Just needs a little glue and it's ready to go again.

Haha thanks, although it pretty much recovered itself as it went into RTH with temp control loss 😅Yeah Midlands doesn't have such mountainous places to fly, I was born in and lived in the West Midlands my whole life until about 6 years ago.

Cheers Stuwe, I wish the weather had been calm in that area so I could have gone closer to the waterfall, it was getting bounced around a lot! Hard to tell thanks to RockSteady. And yeah I was lucky with that crash... could have been a lot worse! Cheers

Good video I tried getting one and the guy never replied to me about molding me one I noticed you have a lot of side to side wag I never saw that on your previous videos but it was very noticable I love the fact you switch up your locations nice work!

Waitwaitait, so Rx Line lost. How did it go? 2nd crash after bounce, RTH landing or did you get control back? Awesome video by the way that wing is just kickass :)
It actually disconnected temporarily! So it went into FS and activated RTH. For a moment I thought I had lost my link and was going to have to wait for it to run out of battery and fall down, but luckily the link was actually ok and I was able to take control again and land. I think what happened is the crash bent the wing temporarily pulling the cable out but as the wing took shape again it was enough to just push the cable back on enough to make a connection (it was half hanging off!). Very lucky. So now I've pulled some extra cable though to stop that happening if I crash again hopefully.

It temporarily went into RTH as I lost the control link for a moment, but after I worked out what was going on I managed to regain control and land it😅phew

Thanks :) Damage looks worse than it is. The Osmo just needed the lens protector replacing and I had a spare, nose has been reprinted... I just need to glue the new nose in and refit the battery bay lid and it will be ready go go again. Thanks for watching and commenting
@@AdamGdoesFPV I’m just getting back into fixed wing! So far been a lot of trial and error for me lol. I built the MFD mini crosshair antenna tracker and a few planes but not done a lot of flying yet . Mainly because it’s freezing here I’m not big on the cold and learning everything from the wiring to inav been a huge struggle for me . I stopped flying in the early 2000s so I lost touch with today tech lol. Anyway keep making the videos we’ll keep watching lol. Hopefully I’ll have a few out soon myself!
@@ADKDronesRC it’s quite a learning curve and it takes a little while to feel like you’ve got it, it don’t give up and you’ll get there. Always lessons along the way in this hobby, as you’ll see from my videos it doesn’t always go to plan 😅

I quite enjoyed until about the 4th season, can't remember which one it was that I just lost interest 😟Funny thing is watching the program knowing it's a lake... so when they set sail to cross the sea to England it feels a bit wrong haha. Plus all the snow covered mountains they add around the area using CGI.

Good point actually, I've never seen the GPS altitude so inaccurate. Not sure why.
@@AdamGdoesFPV I think there is a delay in the gps position due to the speed of the wing, if you look after impact it goes up and there the gps does the opposite, it marks less altitude.
What is the maximum range you got with Pepperbox XTreme V2? Also Dose it work with mfd crossbow mini ?

What are you doing - it's too risky.. landing speed 170km/h :) but.. After than rock; it was above the clouds.. more later. shows how to landing :))
If I was trying to land, I really failed as it flew off haha 😂 I was unlucky with the rock, as you can see from the video there was no sign of it. Didn’t realise until I went to collect it 😣
