Hi questions. First I love your material always so helpful. Second. I just got the mevo start and want to connect my UA-cam but it says your account is not setup for streaming to UA-cam. How do I make that connection?
Thanks! With live streaming from the Mevo, doing live closed captioning burnt into the actual stream is a headache that’s not worth it. With OSG activated you can slowly add graphics to the stream so you can’t really do it on the fly. I would create graphics like PowerPoint presentations if using the OSG. Otherwise you have to see if your streaming platform supports some kind of live voice recognition conversion.
Hey Michael, thanks for such a great tutorial. But I'm confused on the connection, does my phone have to be connected to the mevo trough the hotspot, or they both have to be connected to the same network? I have been able livestream connecting both the phone and the camera to the same network, but encountered a lot of connection problems between the two ( camera and phone ) even in a strong network signal. At this point, I'm lost, don't know if the phone has to be connected to the mevo via hotspot or both trough the network. Getting the error, ( error connecting to mevo, retry again ) Also noticed that it will not connect to a 5G network. Can you please, clarify this? Thanks in advance.
glad the tutorial was helpful! I haven’t used the Mevo in a long while as I moved to external encoders for pro cameras, but I do remember it’s either/or. the Mevo can be its own hotspot for control and cellular sharing or use another network. it should guide you with the process the first time you boot it up. if connected to another network, both devices need to be connected.
You can theoretically walk and drive around with it, but you'll need solid cellular. Check out this review video where I did just that: ua-cam.com/video/LvGIBLYX9ok/v-deo.html
@@villagenerd looks like in the end theres not really a benefit to a phone for the same price if im out of the house. Also the stabilization doesnt look better then on my s10. Plus even if i have the mevo i still need a phone to go live right? Thanks a lot
Your videos on Mevo Start are excellent. I think I'm about to purchase for livestreaming outdoor worship for our campus ministry. I don't want to rely on a student's phone and am looking into purchasing a low-cost tablet and connect to ethernet. Any ideas?
Hi there, sorry for the late reply! I don't have too much personal experience with current low cost tablets, but you can't go wrong going with older ipads and iphones. Check apple refurbished deals for the safest bet, or check out best buy open box or used ones on ebay. Lightning to ethernet adapters are a plenty. I recommend playing with Live:Air from teradek for connecting multiple for live switching. You can install the Live:Air remote for ipads being used just as cameras on the same network and then have a central hub ipad to switch between angles with.
Your video shows how to add the Mevo Camera app to a Group Page, but will it be necessary to add the app to an organization page? I'[m not finding a place to add an app on our organization's page. My camera is due to be delivered tomorrow, but I'm just trying to do as must preparation before hand to save time.
Hello, im an admin in a group on facebook, can i see comments on the actual phone that i have my mevo app on when i go live or do i have to log in on a separate device (laptop or tablet) to see the comments?
Thanks! If you mean thumbnail on your live streaming platform, I don't believe there is any interface to control that from the mevo app. Better to go onto the platform on a web browser and upload a custom one.
Good question. Not within the Mevo app. You’ll need to either connect to a Livestream branded switcher system or use an NDI capable switching software like OBS, wirecast or Ecamm Live. Highly recommend the Ethernet adapter for this purpose or to reduce the bitrate in NDI mode on the Mevo to reduce performance issues.
Super video! I applauded for $2.00 👏
Thank you so much. I just started a new group abd couldn't figure out why mevo wasn't recognizing it.
Just purchased... this video tutorial is awesome!
can you stream to Facebook Pages? It only shows Profiles and Groups.
Great content!! I just started my own journey into streaming and created a channel to document it. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! I see you're a mevo user too! I hope you enjoy it!
@@villagenerd The best for my budget without a doubt. I tried the Obsbot Tail off Kickstarter but there was so little support.
Great article on Mevo Start.
Thank you Michael for very clear tutorial to using Mevo Start. My question : can we control *some* Mevo Start with single gadget (Android Phone) ?
I want to use this to livestream to youtube. Is the mevo app free to do this or is there a monthly app cost?

Can you use multiple Mevo cameras on the Mevo 2.0 app

Can this be used with Streamyard?
Hi there, this cam is more like for a stable position right? Not for walking or driving?! Thx

@@villagenerd Thanks. I actually bought the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10" and it worked well.
Hi! Do I have to stay in the mevo app while live?? Or can I switch to other apps
I have a scheduled live stream on youtube will I be able to do that with the mevo?

You don’t need an app for a Page! Handy dandy!
I am trying to go live in A group on Facebook. However it keeps telling me a rtmp error. How do I fix this?

not all my pages are showing on facebook...
can you stream more than one at a time? like youtube and fb at the same time?
If you get a Vimeo subscription, you can stream straight to multiple platforms!
@@villagenerd I have Vimeo and the subscription is active but every time I click the multi destination button Venmo prompts me to subscribe...
THANK YOU!
Do you know if you can use 2 or 3 mevos in one stream?

You can live-stream on UA-cam with under 1,000 subscribers, just can’t have your own URL.
Great to know! Been over 1000 for a while so just working by hearsay of others.
How do you get someone the UA-cam link while streaming?
