      @@CarCraftAutoDetailing your final words, I believe, are what I was meant to watch this video for.
      We have been caring for my father who has dementia and anyone who’s dealt with it knows how painful it can be. The individuals truly believe certain things are or are not happening in their mind’s own scenarios, and they will stick to that to their dying breath, even though it’s completely opposite most of the time. The anger and cruelty that they can express toward the loved ones that are trying to take care of them is the most painful part because we are reaching out with hope and love so that they might be comfortable and often times they simply return the sentiments with insults or anger or even sometimes hitting.
      I often times have only been able to get through the day, reminding myself that the Lord God goes through the same thing with us. He is a perfect, righteous, and holy God completely separate from wrongdoing. Our sin, even when we do the smallest of things, it’s just like my dementia ridden loved one who treats me poorly and in my heart and all I wanna do is help.
      I was so excited to see your video. I haven’t watched for sometime, simply haven’t had the opportunity, my life completely changed when we had to change the living arrangements to bring them into our house. The end of your video was the reason and I thank you for offering and let it be a testament that sometimes when the Lord inspires us to say or do something, it’s purpose may not be revealed for hours, or days, weeks or even possibly years, before we realize and see the fruit of the work that he asked us to do. You may have thought that it was simple words that you offered in the end, said with love and dedication for our Lord, but maybe what you didn’t realize is that he was using you in that very moment to inspire me, to let me know that I am not alone, and there always is hope in the arms of the Lord. Love you friend!

      Thank you for also reminding me that
      God’s plan isn’t always revealed when we want it to be, I also need to hear that my friend and to be more patient.
      “Yet I am never alone, for the Father is always with me.” God is good.

    Sandro,
    As always, wonderful work on all fronts.
    One gold nugget that you brought-up that you have me thinking-about is the sheer number of metallic flakes in that paint. All metallics are not created equal. My Honda has the ubiquitous Crystal Black Pearl; having repainted my own hood, I can tell you that the number of basecoats applied with metallic paint is not trivial. Lexus and Toyota do not f-around with their higher-end paint products.
    What I’d like to offer/reinforce, is that no matter how proficient of a detailer anyone is, you cannot save the quality of the basecoat you’re working-on. Can you wet-sand clear and get panels to a literal mirror? Absolutely. Can numerous coats of high-end coatings help level-out imperfections? Possibly. But if the car doesn’t have a high-quality paint-job from the factory or upon restoration, you will quickly find the limits of what detailing can deliver.
    Thanks again Sandro. This video reaffirms why my next car will probably be a Lexus product. Cheers.

      Thank you mate and as someone who has always cherished OEM paint, particularly the better and more generous OEM paint jobs, you’re spot on. Lexus is doing right, always more original paint on everyone I detail and high quality paints and processes which has also made me favour the brand.

    Have you ever had a weird Grey effect after wiping down with eraser or IPA. Not the swirls or haze showing up better but almost like something was left behind. Had it happen and wasn't sure what it was from. Thought I'd pick your brain.

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  21 день тому +1

      Not sure about the ‘grey effect’ you’ve had, but I’ve had IPA solutions sometimes mar soft/sensitive paints which can look like patchiness and inconsistency in the finish - diluting the IPA further and/or spraying it directly to cloths rather than directly on the paint can help eliminate the issue.

    Hello. Can I ask you a few questions? Being very good at detailing, could you give me some tips? For example, a car that has a lot of scratches, marks and corrections, what is the best thing to do? Also on a car that is 2020-2024 with light and minor scratches? I am interested in the most important thing to know about polishing. I watched a lot of your videos, but I want you to tell me how, what and how. I know my questions are not easy to answer but please help me as I started last week I am 15 years old and I am really obsessed and want to learn everything about detailing and from the best.I really like it and really appreciate how much work you put into not only the cars but also the video processing, because this gram is not an easy job. The videos are perfect everywhere, nothing I can say, just perfect.Good regards 😊

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  29 днів тому +1

      Car paint with severe defects will tend to require a heavy compounding stage typically using a wool or microfibre fibre pad - if it’s a soft paint it could be a foam cutting pad - with a coarse cutting compound - again if the paint is very soft that could be a medium compound. After the cutting stage you would then finish with a foam finishing or polishing pad - if the paint is hard that could also be an intermediate foam pad - and a finer polish- again on harder paints that could be a medium or one step compound.
      Car paint that has only minor defects will tend to only require a single stage of polishing - on harder paints that could be a one step with a medium compound and pad, on softer paints that could be a softer foam pad and fine polish.
      There’s more to it like measuring paint, sometimes sanding, all the vital prep work, paint correction technique and methods that I simply can’t answer here in this format- that’s why I make the videos to both explain, shown and give tips, and if you keep on watching detailing videos and then keep on practicing you will get there my young friend - best wishes Sandro.

    Just a fyi, some of the links you posted are not for the product that you list. Ex the Shinemate EB210, is the same link for the shinemate Ex605 that you have listed. So it's just a duplicate. Speaking off how has the EB210 been.performing?

    Excellence as usual, Sandro!
    Let me ask you this: I've tested and liked, instead of using IPA after drying the car, I do the last cleaning stage with a soft degreaser - citron vonixx - and honestly had superb results, what do you think about it?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  Місяць тому

      Thanks but I don’t quite understand why you’d go back to cleaning with a degreasing soap after the car has been cleaned and dried - this would be best done during the wash/decon stage.
      An IPA (isopropyl alcohol) panel wipe is quite unique in that, apart from cleaning and drying, it’s just about the only cleaner that doesn’t leave its own residue behind, which makes it the best final wipe down product - every other detergent/chemical leaves residue. The goal should be to have the paint/trims as clean, dry and bare as possible after a decontamination process.

    • @Primitivum
      @Primitivum Місяць тому +1

    Hey Sandro. Is there a reason you used the ERO600 G2 with the 9mm orbit vs the EX620 in this detail? I'll likely be buying the ex620 as my first polisher soon, but this it the first I've seen of the ero600.

      No particular reason, just been testing out the new ERO600 G2 and decided to use it on that job. The EX620s are still superior machines but the new ERO is a gem that can certainly do the job.

    Love your videos Sandro, been following and watching them since 2020.
    Are you able to give some advice/info on correcting the headlights and rear lights lightly like you did in this video, please? Does this remove or reduce their factory UV protection at all? Does anything need to be done to make up for that?
    Thanks!

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  Місяць тому +1

      Thanks mate, and just approach the lights the same as you would car paint/clear coat - some have harder and some have softer clear coat - so just use the lightest combination that removes the light defects and restores gloss and clarity. Applying a couple layers of a ceramic coating once you’re done can also be a good way to go.

    Hey Sandro,
    I bought a small bottle of the GForce glass coating. Haven't tried it yet
    Do you know how this performs in comparison to NV Glass, as far as approx speed required to start seeing water leaving the glass? Also, could you keep the coating going much longer by using carpro clarify ph2obic as a topper every wash?
    Thanks

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  Місяць тому +1

      I’m not sure of the specific water contact angles of both coatings, but they are both very good in that area. The car speed in which the water runs up the glass is always different on every car I own - that’s the added variable of the car’s aerodynamics.
      Yes, I think ph2obic is a great way to maintain GForce, maybe used once a month or every couple months depending on how much use the car gets and if it’s the wet or dry season.

    • @rooboy99
      @rooboy99 Місяць тому +1

      @@CarCraftAutoDetailingthanks for the reply Sandro. Good point about aerodynamics. Some products say youll get water dispersing around 40kmh some say over 60kmh. Just looking for something that will help at lower speeds as most driving around melbourne is probably 60 or lower unless on the freeways. Ill give GForce a go and see how it performs. I had a bit of left over ceramic coating that i applied to my windscreen recently. It works well at 80kmh but doesnt do much under this other than beading. Cheers

    Hey again Sandro, quick question for you. Being a Shinemate aficionado, do you ever change the grease in your polishers? Ive just bought an ex620 15mm and Ive seen videos on various detailing channels where they recommend swapping out the factory grease for a better quality lithium grease (not just in shinemate brand) , which supposedly will reduce noise and give better longevity to the machine. Thoughts on this please mate

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  Місяць тому +1

      Having that very question put to Shine Mate themselves, they strongly discourage that practice. The grease they use is a high quality long life specific grease to the machines and also applied in a dust/debris free facility. Additionally, I’ve put over a thousand hours on some of their machines, never changing it with zero issues. So my advice would be, don’t try and fix a problem that doesn’t exist 🙂

    • @rooboy99
      @rooboy99 Місяць тому +1

      @@CarCraftAutoDetailingwow ok thanks mate. I was looking for reviews on it and found one by Brian Spitler at Apex Auto Detail where he strips the 620 down and changes the grease. Yvan Lacroix does it too but on a different brand.
      I have an Apex Customs Sensei Plus which I've been using for 2 years, haven't changed any grease and it's still going fine. I bought the 620 today from you know where, because the Backing plate on mine apex machine isn't holding pads very well and I can't get a replacement backing plate.
      Thanks again for your help.

      Hey mate, further to my previous query regarding changing grease in the polishers, i received my EX620 machine yesterday and had a read through the manual. Under maintenance section it mentions "every 6 months or 200-300 hours of operation, the gearbox of the machine needs to be filled with lubricant. It is recommended to use Mobil EP1 lithium grease".

I will have to try to find those you have and also let you know which one I liked, but most definitely I liked that you can cut off the tip.
