One thing I didn't like very much about this chapter was the transition from 0:47 to 1:57, I mean, I liked the parts of Aang and Katarra practicing waterbending, but the parts where Zhao or Zuko are seen and the little scene of Aang with sokka and katarra in appa should have been cut and it was better to add them in other parts where they would look good. I also think you should put the scene where aang asks his friends about the situation in the earth kingdom
I skipped over the earth kingdom stuff mostly because it doesn’t matter to the plot and I found it jarring when Katara is smiling when talking to Aang in his moment of grieving. That being said, I do have a plan for the earth kingdom stuff, but to fulfill that requires skipping over most of it for the time being. As for the intro, I’ll see if I can rework it a bit. I didn’t think it was that bad. If anything my criticism is that it’s weird for Zuko to be looking for Team Avatar in villages when the gaang is spending all their time in the woods. So maybe I’ll incorporate some of the earth scenes I skipped over in the final version. 🤔

Yes, that was how Appa looked on release. And sadly, I have no experience with CGI, so I’m unable to really do anything about making Appa look better. 😢
I do think that when the edit is fully done, it’ll be worth the effort to some extent. I can’t fix everything, but I think enough has been polished up to justify its release. Examples include: fixing the bending, removing the earth prison, cutting down the bad dialogue, Zhao dying by the Ocean Spirit, the moon turning black, Ozai’s face being hidden and getting the names pronounced correctly. The full rough draft is available if you’re curious to see the fixes. 🙂

I don't get it what is the difference between the movie version and this re edit version what is the meaning of this re edit parts im so confused
Thanks for asking! There are a ton of other differences throughout the hour-long re-edit. Some of these differences include the names being pronounced correctly, the Earthbender prison being removed, the bending being faster and more fluent, the moon turning black, Zhao being killed by the Ocean Spirit, Ozai's face being hidden, a different ending scene, and a heavily reworked Siege of the North battle.
For this Chapter 2 video you just watched, the biggest noticeable change is the opening minutes. A lot of the footage used for it (Aang mourning Monk Gyatso, dancing Iroh, Aang giving Katara her necklace) was cut in the original film. The opening Katara narration is also a new change, as the narration was written by me and the voice was dubbed over by someone else.
The other key change for this video is all the scenes are rearranged. In the original film, the order went:
Earthbender prison > Commander Zhao talking to Ozai about the Avatar > Fire Nation colony with Zuko and Iroh > Aang and Katara practicing waterbending by the lake > Aang bending by himself at night > Aang going to the Northern Air Temple.
In this re-edit, the order goes:
Aang mourns Monk Gyatso (new scene) > Team Avatar adventure montage (which replaces the Earthbender prison) > Katara and Aang practicing by the lake > Fire Nation colony scene > Aang bending by himself > Northern Air Temple.
