I remember this being on a juke box at a resort where they took us when I was at summer camp in 1954. I rustled up a nickel and played it! My neighbor in the cabin next door drove everyone crazy playing Sh-Boom over and over again!

Do you recall if it was _boom badoh badu badu babeh_ or _badu badoh boom babeh badu?_ Thanks in advance!

I love Lew Stone -I have never heard this version before - Nat Gonella does it full justice - wonderful rendering - not bad when he is following the likes of Al Bowlly and Greta Keller

I will have to take a closer look, but I think this is actually the first recording of the song. Why does the arrangement remind me of Billy Vaughn?

I think BV liked this one the best! It was very popular in the 1950's.

It does - doesn't it. Love billy vaughn - used to dance to all his music. ah the old days. 75 but I can still dance.

I like this version best. I think because it's the fox trot rendition. Although I do like the tango version very much. I also like the arrangement best. The sax is maybe the best. However, I like al bowllys' vocal better but I don't like his vocal ending the piece.
