    Dr. Bauman,
I am a male age 24 and I have been experiencing extremely quick hair loss within the past year of my life. I was originally diagnosed with Telogen Effluvium which gave high hopes for not loosing my hair permanently. Through out the year the hair continued to fall out at a rapid rate but I held on to hope because of my diagnosis. After noticing my hairline starting to sprout just 1 hair per follicle and they grow in thinner and thinner I decided to do some research and take action. I stumbled upon your research for (LLLT) and decided to get evaluated at the laser med solution where I live here in Phoenix, Az. Ive been doing the treatment for 2 weeks so far and I am scheduled in for my next appointment tomorrow. When the medical assistant evaluated my scalp he told me I would be an excellent candidate for the program. He said none of my follicles are dead and that they are in the best condition for the therapy (dying but not dead). I signed up and now I use the hand held laser at home and go in once a week for the machine therapy in their office. My question to you is; do you agree with his statement about my follicles and do you think I have a good chance at success?
I am going to follow my treatment with pictures from the clinic as well as my own testimonials to every other young guy out there trying to forget about their hair loss instead of taking action. I was inspired for this therapy by you and I am beyond thrilled to be able to post on your video and get your best advice and input.
    My current treatments:
    -Laser therapy in office
-Hand held laser every other day at home
-Scalp treatment (provided by the facility; I can read ingredients off if necessary)
-Sulfate free / keratin rich shampoo and conditioner supplied by the facility during the entire treatment.
-Saw Pallmeto suppliments (I am trying to avoid propecia for the side effects)
    Kind regards,
    Graham

Update: Week 3. Next treatment on Thursday. My hair feels so good and alive it's unreal. No new regrowth just yet but the shine and soft touch my hair always had seems to be restored.

Laser therapy is certainly a good option for early hair loss. However, the device in terms of power and convenience makes a big difference. Sounds like you are on the right track, but be aware that because you have early hair loss, you might need multiple therapies.

Alan Bauman , I am on the 6 month program right now and after that I plan on going in once to twice a month for follow up maintenance. Depending on what they tell me I may need. It is definitely something I plan on committing too for the rest of my life. Thank you so much for your reply! It means alot to me.

Update: Week 5. Noticed a slowing of the thinning. Hair shedding has slowed dramatically. I used to be able to itch my scalp and pull out a hair or two. Over the past two days I have done this with no hair coming out. Minimal hair shedding in the shower as well. Very optimistic. Will keep everyone posted!

Last update: week 7. We took photo's of my hair under the microscope and my hair is growing in again! 2-3 hairs per follicle now and they are small but growing! My hair seems thicker and fuller and the photo's reveal the true growth! So happy about this therapy and excited to see the result at month 6! Thank you Dr. Bauman for all of your work in this therapy! It works!!!!

Where are you located? I have residences in Las Vegas and Chicago northern suburbs. Did this woman have a wig on? If that's considered bad hair, then I'm a travesty. Her hair looks perfectly fine to me! Some of us should be so lucky.

Linda Lubbers, a woman can lose up to half of her hair without it being noticeable to the naked eye. If your situation is worse than JoAnn's, you might need more than laser therapy (I might suggest Formula 82M minoxidil, NeoGraft FUE hair transplants, etc.). To find out what the right treatment plan is for you, a consultation is the best place to start. You can begin at Bauman Medical Group - Hair Restoration for Men and Women

Linda Lubbers In severe cases of hair loss, we would need to evaluate you to see if you are candidate for hair transplantation... certainly a viable option for women these days.
