Very cool tools in Studio One
Thanks Gregor! Great video - I actually forgot about the music loops, and yes these are amazing. I started putting a bunch of my good ideas that don't work in a song into music loops. Transpose - saw you using the clip transpose but any chances to have a global/smart transpose in the future?
my favorite technique to explore is the whole "add notes" thing, and then follow them with the Chord Track. It's hit and miss, but it's hella fun. You can come up with unique melodies or riffs that go next level.
Is the chord track available in Studio One 5 Artist? I don't see it

Echoing a lot of the comments here, this was an AMAZING video, from the basic ideas to the deep-cuts workflow tips for Studio 1. Personally, I don't believe in writer's block; artistry is often presented as this mystified thing that requires inspiration in order for someone to create something new, but the raw fact is artistic expression - of any an all sorts - is mostly a set of rules or mechanics; story structure in fiction writing, verse structures and meters in poetry, and "music theory" with music. If someone is stuck, instead of waiting around or going on a quest for inspiration, I think they should "play"; break out their tools and see what noodling around with this and that will generate. This video exemplifies this concept beautiful, offering a number of tools for ways to simply play around, which should generate inspiration where none previously existed.
i left England in `72. As a ten year old with 17 year old brother Thursday night Top of the Pops was a wig out and the first bands that mattered to me (other than the Beatles) were Slade & T-Rex. So the question is , Who glam-rock ed first,? TRex/Slade/The Sweet/David Bowie(who played TOTP`s in `73 .
So I ship out to NZ and the only decent band I see on TV are Space Waltz with `Out on the street` `72. Check them out and tell me do they qualify a s a bit glam? too? Funnily enough they appeared on a NZ TV music talent show called ``Studio One``
Hello my friend Unfortunately, I have the following problem with my large projects with complex chains: the cpu smears internally, but in my tast manager there are only 8% that are active, how can I set studio one 5 so that it uses the cpu power correctly, my system: amd ryzen 9300X rtx 2080super 32gb RAM ddr4 3200mhz, audio interface Steinberg ur242
But what If I have a block because my songs are just on my hard disc and nobody is listening to it since years because I have no energy and clue how to do it?

Do you have the Pro verion of S1? Chord track is not available in lower tiers.

That's hilarious because Studio one actually causes writers block, lol.
Has anyone noticed that Studio One' s sonics has no separation or punch? I'm big Studio One fan from day one, however, lately I've been noticing the sound of Studio One sounds very dull. Still Studio One fan for life though.
dude... :) 0 and 1 dont have any sound, so this dullness you getting is on you
@@dukeGed You are so wrong. Every DAW has a sound. Studio One reacts to transients differently where it kind of smears the summed output. Place the same track in Protools, FL Studio or any Daw of your choice and listen. You'll notice a lack of separation when played back in Studio One. Post a video with your results and prove me wrong ;)
