I use only "Save as" and I do not dare to use save new version"
That works too. Anything that gives you a fallback in case something gets messed up or disappears is a good habit.
@@jhughsPresonusStudioOneTips I often record in comping, and copy the track complete and work on the copy. Studio One is king.

Thanks. It could also be possible that I still don't understand how it was intended to be used. But yeah, I would add the word "snapshot" to the non-incremental version option. The incremental version may have been meant to be used as increments by saving before you make the changes, but I agree with you, it's a tricky concept.
