Pure gold. Once again, Gregor, you've opened my eyes to even more power in S1!
I cannot see these tips while I'm out of the computer, because otherwise I want to go ahead and try them. The more I know this daw, the more I love it.
So helpful and a time saver. I’m so used to just duplicating tracks this will make my workflow so much quicker. Thank you.
Thanks, Gregor. for another succinct video. Much appreciated!
Outstanding, thank you
Thank you, as always very helpful :)
Thank you Mr Gregor
TERRIFIC! GREAT! And vert vert helpfull! Thanks!👍🏻
Now THAT is some useful info brother!
PLEASE ADD A LOW LATENCY (Z) SHORTCUT FOR STUDIO ONE. THANK YOU.
Hey Gregor, I have really enjoyed your videos here and really appreciate the work you put into them!
In past videos you had a Faderport suspended by some sort of arm over your desk. What was that and where can I get one? I've been looking all over, and I want one of those at my desk to hold my Faderport 8!!!
Thank you very much for this video! Great as always. I have a question about the stands you use for your Atom and Atom SQ. What brand or product is it? I am desperately looking for these products for my own Atom controllers!
Hi Gregor! I love your training vids! I just updated to 5proxxxx. And I’m having a question about the midi editor grid. How do I find the edit function for. MIDI volume. It seems to be missing! I have fun when everything is working lol. In my 3rd cd now 🥰
That would be nice if you could increase the volume the same way as an audio track. The only way I’ve found to increase volume from midi tracks is by selecting the midi instrument and increasing the volume through the instrument settings.
Great video, thanks! I'm struggling though with shared copies because I can't keep track of which clips are shared copies of which. If I rename one clip or change its color any shared copies don't get the new name or color. I don't think there is a command to "Select shared copies" to select all shared copies of a given target clip, so IMO this feature appears to be incomplete, and only works if you are dealing with a couple of clips at most. I dunno if that makes sense.
me too. need help!
Hi, how do you get the region transparent?
thanks. i just switched to studio one the other day....how do you repeat the loop for the length of the song? in pro tools we have duplicate and we also have repeat keyboard shortcut alt R and a dialog opens and asks how many times do we want to repeat and type 20 times and it will be repeated/duplicated instantly. i only see duplicate in studio one so for instance if i want the song to be 10 mins i have to tap d key until it reaches 10 minutes? or should i just open pro tools real quick import the loop and click repeat and the export it then just open it in studio one? would be easier for studio one 6 to have that feature being that pro tools has had that feature for years. ill need a new keyboard within months having to sit and click the D key all day just to make a loop repeat up to 3 to 4 mins..🤨
Thank you Gregor.
Could you make a Part II where you show us Quick Ways to Undo that Linked Condition please ?
I am forever R-Click and menu diving to find a command to Unlink Events that have been chained using even the simple "D" command.
Select the event you want un-link , do right click and use the “Separate Shared Copies” option. To do the same on audio the option name is “Dissolve Audio Parts”.
Hey Gregor. From my experience, it seems making copies of sections from within the arranger track creates "real copies" instead of "ghost copies". Is there a way to force these arranger track copies to be "ghost copies"?
Nice! Just like a global element in web development.
Hey Gregor, if you could tell your studio one developers to integrate
1. Vocal allignment tool
2. Slide midi notes tool in Studio one.
Or maybe let us know if we could possibly see these features in future?
So what about velocity, modulation, pitch bend and aftertouch? Does all of that copy when you copy a MIDI section? How do you copy this information WITH your MIDI copy?
Changing color of one shared copy does not change color of other shared copies. I have to select all copies and then I can change color off these. But in FL studio if I change color of a pattern then all its copies change color.
AWE. SOME!!!
Ok but how do I unghost, or make a shared copy unique to change it
You didn't show how to create the box around the clip prior to copying it
I need that with automation ....
Very cool idea! Thanks for sharing. -GBY
Please, PLEASE add numbers next to the ghost icons to distinguish between different groups of shared copies on the same track. Otherwise this feature is of limited use.
You can use different colors, different names and beside hat you can see the MIDI to differenciate between.
@@dawvideokanal7369 Yet, as simple number would help. I like to keep all my clips the track of thr colour.
I know the workarounds. Why are you against implementing a proper solution?
you need to work on that of the audio, coz one might want to ghost a single audio drop i dont need to cut or merge everytime, its tiresome
After this discovery FL Studio loses the only advantage I thought it had over Studio One.
Joke aside, I was looking for this in Studio One as well and I thought it wasn't there.
Anyway on Windows you have to hold SHIFT + D to share ghost copies.
What is missing, however, is a shortcut for drag and drop ghost shared copies elsewhere on the arrangement. What is missing, however, is a shortcut for drag and drop ghost shared copy elsewhere on the arrangement.
For example, you could do that holding SHIFT and moving the event by clicking on the ghost icon to create a ghost shared copy to place anywhere on the arrangement. It's an idea !!!
Can you unghost a copy tho, make a shared copy unique to change it
I wonder when DAW developer don't upgrade the minor changes that are very useful to users.
In studio one, share copies don't share color change. Its very annoying.
Studio one should have about shared copies is to "select all shared copies"feature. so we can delete all shared copies or change the color easily.
