  • This week's project wraps up Firal's new outfit with a waist cincher made from just one piece! Sometimes pieces you use for your dolls' outfits don't have to be difficult or complex. This project is a great topper for lots of outfits and is super beginner-friendly!
Grab the cincher's pattern here: ithilear.com/s...
Now and then, I hear from people who can't access my site due to restrictions in their country. If you have trouble getting to my pattern archive, send me an email (my contact info is below) and I'll send you a copy of the PDF. :)
    Happy sewing!

Woah! I totally loved your technique here, specially for very tiny dolls, I was trying to make a corset for a monster high but is true that adding many pieces and bulk end up looking tooooo thick the fabric on such a tiny doll. This keeps things flat and ordered, thank you for sharing it!

That ended up looking really nice! I love the choice of vinyl, and the contrast caused by the yellow decorative stitching + golden eyelets.
The only thing I'd do differently would be making the "boning channels" before hemming the cincher so that way there wouldn't be the need the backstitch + there wouldn't be a little bit of loose thread on the edges.
Thanks for the video! I don't comment much, but I always enjoy watching your tutorials.

Yeah, that's a great idea!! I probably would have done that if it hadn't been a last-minute decision... I didn't feel like I needed it on the black one I made for practice, the brown one just needed something extra!

I like your eyelet setting tool. It looks stronger than what the fabric stores sell. Where could i get one ? I like the stitching on the borders of the cinch, that really finishes the look.

I got it in the scrapbooking section of Michaels when I still worked there!

Lovely! It's exactly something I've been trying to figure out for my 1/4 girl. I'm assuming I could make a pattern by wrapping her in tape and drawing it? Or is there a better technique? Thanks so much for all the fantastic tutorials!

From the Thumbnail photo on the search list, I came here thinking this was an adult garment. But a cute one for a doll nonetheless. And a lot easy to construct though and no boning needed either. 👍
