    Man. When you are the person that makes patterns for your dolls by wrapping them in tape then you see how Loki does it!!!! This is amazing. Thank you for sharing how you make patterns! !! Not gonna lie. Its gonna be a long month!!!! Happy Independence day to you and your family. Stay safe!!!

    I just drafted my first pair of pants for my Souldoll Vito boy! He has large calves, so I needed to adjust the bottom part. He also has larger than normal feet, so I wanted to draft it slip the pants on with the feet, but not bee too loose of a cut. I succeeded! The first muslin pair fit so well.
    I want to add a snap back opening with false buttons on the front. I'm going for a medieval, high waisted pant look.
    Thank you so much for the video, it really gave me the confidence to draft this pattern.

    You do a wonderful job creating your patterns. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have a clue as to how to draft a pattern for anything. I appreciate your talents and please keep up with your creations. You are awesome Miss Lomi.

      It's definitely tough to get started. I'd recommend beginning with leggings made with stretchy fabric to get comfortable with the general shape of pants. I have a much more simple pattern tutorial for making leggings that you might enjoy practicing with here: www.ithilear.com/sewing-patterns-for-ball-jointed-dolls.html

    Maths not my superpower either. But gonna try this very slowly. I took an online draping class which I used to create block for dolls upper body so that reduced the maths loads n worked.
    Cling wrap the doll, cut painters tape into thin strips for the draping lines n use kitchen roll in place of fabric to get a skin tight block pattern. HAven't done a class on pants yet tho.

      I've done that method before and it really does work well! Especially for closely fitted patterns...

    I followed these directions exactly for my 74cm male doll with a 30 cm waist and 36cm hips and the fit was perfect! I have watched a lot of pattern drafting videos and yours are by far the best. Yes I had to stop and rewind a few times but it was well worth it. When adding a little ease would you extend the side seams or split the pattern piece and put it there? Can’t wait to try your shirt pattern.

      I'm really glad it worked for you! In the future I'll try to go slower ^^;
      When I add ease to a pattern, I typically do it at the sides because it's usually easier to correct the placement of the armscye/arm hole to go with it than to change the fit of the neck, or to change the placement of the fly/crotch!

    Ah the joys of miscalculations. Trying to follow along and not hit pause (or back-track) too often, I managed to mangle the front extension calculation, and was wondering why the crotch area looked sooo much bigger than what you were drawing. I mean, I know my printed doll wasn't quite to standard sizes, but I didn't think she was _that_ different!
    Then I went back through and found the issue. I haven't resketched it yet, but the numbers look much more realistic. Now for attempt number two.

    I can barely understand you when you do the math. You go way too fast and I'm having trouble keeping it all together. Would be nice if the math was written in the description.
    It's also so hard to see your drawings and what you're doing. I'm at like half speed and still totally lost.

    Hey Lomi! Quick question. I'm getting my SID either in September or December, and i need to get a pair of shoes with him since i don't have any at home that i can use. If i pay for them both at the same time in the same order, will they come together? Like in his box or something? I really hate the thought of the shoes being lost somewhere, considering they're expensive

    • @LomisPlayground
      @LomisPlayground  4 роки тому

      Yes, if you order any shoes, wigs, clothes, etc. with your doll they will come all in the same package!

    What is the human calculation? And is it cm or inches. Please.

    • @LomisPlayground
      @LomisPlayground  4 роки тому

      Human standard is 1 inch, which would be about 2.5cm.

    so do you mean we have to have a pattern making book to get the standard size? this part completely confused me. I think if I had a pattern making book I wouldnt be here watching you tube videos.
