TAMA New 1st Chair Drum Throne -YOUR BEST PERFORMANCE STARTS AT THE CORE.-

- TAMA’s new 1st Chair drum thrones were designed with core comfort in mind. Several new features have been developed in order to increase stabilization of the throne, and thereby the core, for maximum comfort and enhanced performance. From extra large rubber feet and significantly more stable legs to our recently upgraded “Seat Lock” seat holder and the extra smooth “Glide Tite Grip Joint”, our new 1st chair thrones were reimagined from the ground up.
Also, by lowering the distance of the center throne pipe to the floor, we’ve lowered the center of gravity for better stability and overall playing comfort. With these significant improvements, drummers can think less about physical stress or fatigue, and more about the music. The new TAMA 1st Chair Thrones - your best performance starts here.

A good Drum Throne is so underrated!
completely agree
I bought a roc n soc throne then exchanged it for this Tama 1st and there's no question that this one is just better super strong and stable love this throne
I really like the Beat. 🙌🏾 I sat on one yesterday with the Round Rider XL hydraulix seat. Gosh I can’t wait to get it back home with me 👌🏽😏
Amazing!!!
I just realised after five years of owning this stool that it isn’t stuck at the height it’s at and that it can be raised and lowered- just in a different way to every other stool available.
Where is the discussion about the most important part: the seat: What type of foam is used? What is the cover material? Thanks.
A masterpiece
Looks great! Like how it shows not having any wobbling, as I've just been wobbling for 3 hours on my seat - look forward to checking out this chair.

The HT430B throne top loosens off the shaft/base quite easily. I’ve nearly come to grief several times now. If I lift it to move or adjust it, there’s no guarantee the bottom is coming with it. Got to make sure I don’t impale myself!
anyone else tripping from the walls
I just bought the HT430B throne by Tama and have to say I am disappointed and may return it. The pros: the base is very sturdy. No sway from the post and solid on the ground.
The cons: the seat is very hard, almost rock hard. Some may like it that way though. I like a firmer seat, but this pushes the boundary for sure. The top of the post that goes into the seat is flush and flat, however, inside the hole where the post goes into to the seat bracket is not flush and had some rough metal spots. So the contact between the seat post and inside the bracket where the post goes is not flat and wobbles back and forth. Hard to explain but the post in from the base does not wobble but the seat itself wobbles because of this poor contact. The price at $200 is not exactly cheap and based on the performance of the seat is not worth it. If I cannot resolve the seat sway, back it goes. I would rate this throne 2.5 stars.
tama is built to last calling something heavy in my opinion is a sign of quality and not a con.
@TamaDrums ese trono es el modelo Tama ht430b? Se le puede añadir el respaldo de tama al modelo Tama ht430b?
is this the standard chair the 430? or is this the XL version with thicker seat? dont think they let us know
Tama- I love your thrones, but due to my height I can't raise it high enough so that I'm sitting over the kit. Is there any solution to this so that I can still use your seat tops?
Dear TAMA-Team,
I got the Tama 1st drum throne pneumatic , second hand as a present.
It is very comfortable, but I can`t stop it from turning around and I can`t play drums that way.
I guess it is broke somehow, isn`t it?
Thank you for an answer
Greetings

is the chair shown here the round rider xl or just base round rider 1st chair
I hope they have a new lock my tans seat won’t stay on the metal part
Do the saddle shape and the round shape have a different impact with bass drum playing?
U wana go with round
I bought this one a couple of weeks ago and it's very sturdy and comfortable but it squeaks like crazy :/
Hello there. I know this isnt the right place to ask that but I don't have a clue where I should. So here is my problem. I own a Tama HT130 but I honestly don't know how to adjust the height right. I mean of course I know how to make it higher but the important little thing (don't know how it's called) that helps from going down every time sitting on it - how to adjust it? I don't have a right tool to do so.
Oh. Okay looks like I actually need a tool for that. Obviously.
I need a round chair
Can you stop the hydraulic one from swivelling???
Interesting I thought John Palmer was the Gretsch Man . Did he leave after DW buying Gretsch out?
Dave Holland played Tama.
looking towards this
me playing with a wood chair :_)
My lock is stuck at the top, so I guess I'm just sitting in the lowest position forever
I thought John Palmer was with Gretsch drums?
Bryan Yeap, he is!
Sehr cool! Hier der Test meiner Schlagzeughocker: ua-cam.com/video/VtsKLspMe7o/v-deo.html
I love Tama stuff, especially their hardware, which is why I was so surprised at how bad their top tier throne was. Not only was it overpriced, it was uncomfortable and un-ergonomic. I was shocked at how poor it was from design to execution. I went with a Roc n' Soc hydraulic and couldn't be happier with it. I love their pedals, stands and hardware, but that was an expensive mistake. Never again will I get a Tama throne when I know much better can be had for so much less. Shameful, Tama. I keep it out for guitar players to use lol.
terrible seat locking mecahanism design. when will you accept that one point locking system is useless for drum thrones?
