- ET chatted with the 'Office Space' cast and director Mike Judge on the set about the 1999 cult comedy. Gary Cole described Initech boss Bill Lumbergh as 'condescending' and 'smarmy,' while Stephen Root saw Milton as the kind of cubicle worker who 'you don't really know what he does.' Ron Livingston said Jennifer Aniston had him cracking up behind the scenes. He also explained how her role as a beleaguered Chotchkie's waitress is rooted in reality, amid '90s restaurants that required servers to don a certain amount of flare. Plus, Judge shared the episode of 'Beavis and Butt-Head' that inspired the animator to tackle his first live-action movie.

I can’t think of one single actor that didn’t nail his/her character in this movie!
That's one of the hallmarks of a great film. Every single part is perfectly cast.
This was not a movie, it was a documentary.
Mike judge captured the soul crushing despair of office life.
There isn't a day that goes by at my company that I don't see something that reminds me of this movie. One of the best comedies ever.
Like the other day, when my office burnt down.
Where was this hiding for the last 25 years? Thanks for finally uploading it.
My guess would be a DVD extra.
Probably one of the greatest comedies of all time.
It’s not only a comedy but a documentary.
All time classic movie
Lumbergh’s Porsche getting towed was a great scene! 😂😂😂
Porsche abuse. It's similar to when Judge Smails grandson hurls cigarette butts and vodka into a targa.
In Office Space, you can tell there's a nice one, and then they switch it to a junker to just YANK the bumper off. It's glorious. Also I think I remember a scene in Mrs. Doubtfire involving a car alarm.
How did someone never give Dave Herman his own show? That guy is so talented in his character work.
One of my favorites! Its the kind of movie you can watch over and over. 💓
I always tell people that Office Space is the perfect comedy. Something that will always hold up and always be hilarious.
The Bobs deserved their own show
McGinley is an absolute WARLOCK
Cannot believe it's been 25 years this week since Office Space opened in theaters.
Holy cow does Gary Cole’s interview attire take me back to the late 90s! I worked for a small software startup and the CEO dressed EXACTLY like that all the time: white collar/cuffs, colored dress shirt and matching tie and suspenders. Our office looked very similar to the Initech office as well. I love Office Space, but it also takes me right back to my mid 20s and that specific time and place.
I do the bare minimum 😂
Stephen Root is great in everything he does. I never saw him before Newsradio, but as soon as I did, I was blown away! I hope he gets to do more stuff like Barry with Bill Hader.
It was great that Micheal Bolton the singer did a funny or die remake with him in it.
Milton’s squirrel story was particularly funny because a relative told me that he was so bored at work that he spent most of his time watching the “married” squirrels outside the window at work.
It's the best thing ever that Mike Judge laughs like Butt-Head in real life
Such. A. Quotable. Movie.
Started out my post-collegiate life in the “office space” environment in the late 90’s. This was it.
This movie has basically been my life for 25 years 😂
Cube life for what it is. Such a perfect movie.
The Mr Lumburgh vs Milton narrative's particularly poignant & amusing
Without drawing any specific parallels, just the concept itself
Inept / ineffectual people arguing about trivialities with people who have some sort of deficiency of character...
All he wanted was his stapler 😁
Lol at Mike saying he has to knock live action actors down a peg because of their egos. I can just imagine Mike calmly eviscerating a pissed off egotistical actor.
PC load letter? wtf?
Look like a great movie to watch
If you never watched it watch it, especially if you work in an office and you don't like it!
This is the definition of a cult/sleeper movie. I remember it did so little when released. I remember years later it having done nothing on rental. I remember it did nothing on dvd. Then out of nowhere, it just grew and grew and grew. Many films get second lives but I cant think of one that had SUCH a gap where it did nothing for so long and finally THEN exploded.
A Christmas Story did that too...did virtually nothing at the box office, then blew up several years later.
Absolute cult classic 😎
Two chicks at the same time.
well you don't need million bucks to do that man
Hell my cousin’s broke and don’t do shiii
I wonder how many cups of coffee Gary Cole had to consume while shooting this film. I wouldn't blame him if he never wanted to lay eyes on a coffee mug again. 😅
They don't really have to drink, they can act.
@@Zodroo_Tint Well, there's probably water in that.
This movie was the most hilarious I've ever watched eventhough it is black-humour.
How did Steven root do that character with those glasses.
He struggled with depth perception
Cupritaccountspayable, Nina speaking
Justta mohhment
Do yourself a favor after you watch this movie. Watch Idiocracy. Mike Judge is a prophet.
Great great great….thats all I ask
Totally unsupported by the studio when it was released! 😡
What Gary Cole MEANT to say was "Lumbergh is the ULTIMATE douche bag"
No Greg Pitts (Drew) :)
Oh oh oh
🎥📈😵🎬😂🤣😂👍🏼
Anyone thinks that Stephen Root here looks like Peter Griffin?
Gary Cole actually got more handsome as a grey-haired man now.
One of the best heads of hair in the business.
