I’m VERY picky when it comes to comedy movies. It’s rare that they make me laugh consistently, but Office Space is pure brilliance from beginning to end.
I saw the 10th anniv showing and reunion at the Paramount that evening. Got the whole cast there, and I mean rhe WHOLE cast, minus livingston and of course aniston. Has she ever done or said anything to acknowledge this movie in the years since it finished its initial run?
There was just a news story in Tempe, AZ about a lady that died at work in her cubical and no one noticed she was dead for 4 days. Mike Judge is actually not a satirist. He's an historian.
I saw Office Space opening weekend as a teenager and loved it. I loved Beavis & Butt-Head and knew Mike Judge had done Office Space. I had also seen The Big Lebowski opening weekend and this reminded me of that in a way. I ended up seeing it 3 times in theaters because I took friends to share it with them. I figured it'd become a big hit on home media because it was too funny not to spread by word of mouth.
he reminds me of my brother-in-law. He'll be real low and kind of down one second then he'd burst out with over eccentrics with little filter and would often double down after reading the negative body language of the room. He'd often try to mimic some Jim Carey kind of crazy body motions and really raise his voice. Then he went on meds, diagnosed with adhd. went on a depression bindge until he "found god". Ever since he's been super obsessive over religion. In the past he'd have spouts of being super into something but would often quit in a blink on it. But this religion spell has been like going on for the last 5 years. I guess it's the perfect out because it's something that's free, can't be argued with, very brainwashing, and offers a ton of hope and self justification while one can just constantly tailor "the messages" to whatever strikes their cord. But people like this you really have to set boundries with. Cause they'll get carried away.
I lived in Dallas, TX during the Mike Judge beginnings and risings-to-fame. Garland, TX (a suburb of Dallas city proper) was the impetus for "Arlen" Texas (I also went to high school with some guys who were the epitome of Beavis & Butthead, LOL). It was fun knowing that Mike was finally getting his props for all his hard work. Sidenote: I also worked at a telecommunications company during the heyday of Dilbert, where we _seriously_ thought whoever drew Dilbert worked at our company, it was SO spot on! BTW, Stephen Root was on another office related TV show in the 90s called "News Radio," with the great Bill Hartmann, and Dave Foley of "Kids in the Hall."
The host had some odd idea that everyone there was to see her ! Crazy stuff . She literally did all of the talking . Constant interruptions . Absolutely killed the whole thing. Wow
This is amazing, I love that they got all of the fantastic stars of OS back for a session like this. "Office Space" is a timeless comedy, and a real masterpiece of a movie and has great rewatch value. And I'm fairly certain the actors all showed up for this panel, because the film meant a lot to them too. I'll always have a special place in my feelings for this film.
I like when they talk about all the rap in the movie and how they considered taking it out. I am someone that HATES rap, yet I firmly believe it just fits in this movie. I wouldn't change it at all.
It was a really great, classic, time in that genre and the cuts in the soundtrack and how they are used in the film --- you can't imagine it any other way.
I watched this movie randomly on cable one night sometime in the early 2000s. I called my manager the next morning and quit my job. I remember feeling soooo peaceful about it, surprisingly. Thank you, Peter man. Fuckin a.
I actually saw it 3 times in the theater and bought the DVD as soon as it was released (and over the years upgraded to a later DVD with more bonus features, and then Blu-Ray). The trailers interested me when it was being released, so I went to see it It was hilarious and I couldn't recommend it enough after seeing it the first time. I was 19 at the time. The Bill Lumbergh character reminded me A LOT of a manager from a grocery store that I worked at a couple of years prior while in high school. After I saw it the first time, I told a friend of mine from high school, who had also worked at that store, about it, and he came with me to see it on one of those subsequent viewings. His reaction was priceless when he saw how similar Lumbergh was to that manager. I was going to community college and had a part time job in an office at the time it was released, so I had some office experience that was also relatable. And being that I've had a lot more office experience in the years since, my appreciation for this movie has only grown.

Am I the only one kinda annoyed by her?
@@MasatoKay no. She's grating.
She’s insufferable. Truly ruins it. Everyone looks deflated half the time.
Mike Judge is a comedy genius.
Truth. Silicon Valley is one of the funniest shows of all time.

I’m VERY picky when it comes to comedy movies. It’s rare that they make me laugh consistently, but Office Space is pure brilliance from beginning to end.
Ron Livingston has transformed into a young Oliver Stone.
@@martydmc12 At first I rolled my eyes. Then I saw the greatness of what you said. Someone make it happen.
Crazy, I waited on Mike Judge the morning of the 10th Anniversary showing of Office Space and couldn’t believe it was 10 years old. Now it’s 25…crazy.
David looks like he’s either dissociating or on a very strong edible
Acting foolishly.
Someone uploaded a photo from this exact interview to his Wikipedia page. I busted out laughing.
Might be the hard stuff.
he reminds me of my brother-in-law.

Phil Hartman, not Bill.
Joe Rogan talks about the sitcom often on his pod cast 🎤 ....
Ron Livingston is looking great. Almost like a team America character
His smile just outshines everyone on stage in presence.
Loudermilk! Season 4 and beyond!
He was so good in Band Of Brothers.
The host had some odd idea that everyone there was to see her !
Crazy stuff . She literally did all of the talking . Constant interruptions . Absolutely killed the whole thing. Wow
I liked how she shut up David with his over the top cringe improv on stage though
She did absolutely fine. You seem to be confused about how a panel works, and that's fine...but you shouldn't make it everyone else's problem.
Ron is adorable, always smiling❤

This movie is actually a documentary of my job. It's a masterpiece that has saved my sanity more times than I can count. lol.
What music do you not hate?
I watched this movie randomly on cable one night sometime in the early 2000s. I called my manager the next morning and quit my job. I remember feeling soooo peaceful about it, surprisingly. Thank you, Peter man. Fuckin a.
This is a movie that never gets old.
My favorite comedy of all time! Thank you Mike Judge and the incredible cast. ❤
What would I do with a million bucks? 2 chicks. One of my favorite lines from the movie.
2 chicks at the same time, man!
@@loganflatt And I think if I were a millionaire I could hook that up. Chicks dig dudes with money
Ron Livingston has aged very well. He looks no older than 35.
I remember seeing this by myself opening weekend when i was 15. What a time to be alive.

Lawrence aka. Diedrich Bader was a perfect neighbor to "Peterman" Not having him there,...... "I believe you get your ass kicked."
the moderator and sound crew did a great job here. so many of these panels can be hit or miss, but they really nailed this one.
They should have talked about the pieces of flair. That was based on TGI Fridays. After Office Space became a hit cult film years later, TGI Fridays stopped forcing their waiters to wear buttons on their uniforms.
@@kbals you know who also wore flair?

Nice way to say Anniston is too cool to show up.
After Mike shot his chochski mgr scene he came right over and pranked me at a sushi bar in character.

Ron Livingston and Stephen Root teamed up again in Boardwalk Empire doing drama. Was pretty good
Stephen Root (Milton) is the biggest acting talent on this stage by far. He's fantastic!! Love his King Of The Hill characters and every character he's done .. decades long list.
And on Barry, amazing talent!
I loved him on Seinfeld.
Loved him in Dodgeball!!

Office space is a masterpiece! I saw it In the theater back in the day, got the dvd shortly after. Watch it online currently many times a year.
The interviewer's "This isn't Mad TV" schtick got very annoying. Not funny. Not necessary.
my God i thought i was the only one getting sick of her annoying condescending tone
I think the first indication she was going to be insufferable was her 2 last names

I was at a multiplex to see a movie that I can't recall. We had about 10 minutes before it started and I ducked into the theater showing this movie. Never left
not only did i see office space in the theatre, but i saw a special preview a week early before it came out in 1999
I have used several clips as teaching material in my business school Organizational Behavior classes, always works. Thanks for this iconic movie!
I feel like they missed out a little bit by not giving Root a red microphone.
Well, you learn something new everyday. I’ve seen Office Space at least 10 times and I don’t know that I ever picked up that Samir was Jordanian. Given that Ajay is of Indian descent in real life, I just always assumed he was Indian.
The more you know!
I was working at Dell and saw them filming up and down Metric Blvd.
Hey lady... no one wants to hear from you. Let the cast goof around all they want.

The real comedy here is that working in an office has not changed much at all in 25 years. In fact, it is possibly worthy of more scorn.
Barnes and Noble had the box with Office Space items. I had to have it. It included an Initech coffee mug, a TPS report cover, a stapler, a Jump to Conclusions game. My son's and my favorite movie. Enjoyed this. 😊
@@rastagirl007 My buddies bought me one too 😁. It had a mini red stapler. I was so bummed; I then bought a real Red Swingline Stapler.

The woman who is hosting this needs to learn how to listen and figure out how to not interrupt. The audience was there to see the cast (and not her), yet she interrupts the cast all throughout this.
They're on a schedule and she wanted to cover a lot of ground, and she did need to keep David in check (he's kind of a class clown).
She did a great job.
@ryanjacobson2508 if she didn't yap so much they would easily stay on track
I went to see Office Space because Jennifer Anniston was in it and it instantly became my all-time favorite movie and was an instant cult classic. Love the whole movie and I still quote it often. And I've worked in an office for 15+ years now, so it's basically my life now.
I saw this in theaters in 6th grade, it changed my life haha I soon retired and lived a simple life
I’ve worked in a corporate office nearly all my adult life. One day in the early 2000’s my wife came home saw me watching my copy of Office Space again and immediately asked, “Uh oh, what happened at work today?”
She knew I used this movie as therapy. One of the best comedies of all time. I love this movie and it’s extremely quotable.
I hope this movie made Mike Judge lots of money eventually. It is nothing less than great.
I actually have printed out TPS reports in my cubicle and an Initech coffee cup. lol

I loved the movie. All of the characters were so valuable to the movie and its one of my favorites. Thanks Mike for the movie.
I loved this movie when I saw at first time then I became an employee with an office and noticed every detail that movie has focused on so I loved it more
Hey audio engineers: digital clipping is not good. Use some compressors next time.
I always say that it is not a comedy, it is a documentary.
This would have been amazing if the interviewer had stopped interrupting all the time!
