Weather does not recognise hollywood scripts or politics. Your celebrities or your politicians can not save you and you may blame the weather is caused by political beliefs against the other. Yes we certainly can, theres a whole science to this phenomena that you can read about online. Essentially the warming of the lower altitude and latitude regions along with the warming of the north pole region causes a disruption in the polar vortex where the arctic air begins to mix with warmer air as it travels southward. The drastic changes in atmospheric pressure in these separate climates due the rising temperatures cause the mixing of cold air in the north with warmer air farther south. This man made greenhouse gas effect from tons of pollution being spewed in the atmosphere everyday is in fact causing global climate change and the polar ice caps are melting at a high rate. Glaciers receding farther north and large chunks of the arctic are breaking off into the ocean to melt. All this is happening at a concerning scale and is accelerating exponentially.

@@SnarlaRae I believe volcanic activity can affect the polar vortex the same way a super volcano eruption could cause a "nuclear winter" for a large part of the area around but current volcanic activity couldn't possible contribute because it is so mild. Its true we don't really have much of a choice but everyone who participates in our global/local economy as consumers or producers are contributing to the climate change issue. Everyday people can't just stop using their gas powered vehicles or buying products that take a great amount of energy to produce and distribute but we can make choices that aren't fueling this problem as much

@@tian_obia Yea I don't know how you can get your kids to school in the winter without a gas powered vehicle, or get groceries, or take family vacations to see this awesome country. Most Folk can not afford a 35k tiny electric vehicle. American Culture gonna take a while to lose their grip on Horsepower. Have you seen the size of the car and Truck offerings for 2019. Mt. Etna been pretty active latly, and I think there was a 400 mile maga flow discovered under Mt. Saint Helens recently., and let's not forget Pele made herself be known this year quite spectacularly. I haven't even broached the subject of Solar Plasma, I. Believe we got a coronal hole pointed at us currently. Until India and China are brought to heel, meh.
