Question. Mine, the bottom part, the actual gear is broken. Does it actually engage with another gear inside? Because I put my finger inside and there is an opening on one side and there's nothing there... it worked for years and just stopped completely about a month ago... #2 Where can I buy the bottom half? I bought the top half, Honda OEM but can't find the bottom half with the gear...
I had to replace the speed sensor in my 95 Civic two times within a year. It freaked me out the first time I was driving to school and the speedometer stopped working and went to 0 MPH. At least I was close to being at school. Had to call my dad after I got out of school and we replaced it one day. Second time it happened was when I came back from seeing my girlfriend at the time. Same thing, went to 0 MPH when I was driving. My dad and I replaced it with a different brand and it was working normally.
It's coming! And, I can't wait. But, with limited space, I need two nice weekend days where I can basically have the entire driveway for it. I am so ready to dig into that thing.
Noo idk I know my dizzy car wire harness is mess up ND I know mines started messing up when the plug got loose I've heard that the dizzy help control the rpms

Did you engine light end up turning on? I’m having the same problem with my speedometer!
Yes! When it finally stopped working, the light came on. When it was intermittent, the light wasn't on. After I fixed it, the light went off.

It could happen. If you're lucky enough to have access to another speed sensor I'd give it a shot. They're quick to change

Yes, it could cause late or aggressive shifting

if its an automatic it can mess your rpms / shifting up
