If you love those 4, You need to check out the Reb Beach album, Erase the Slate. Live from the Sun is a great live album from that tour too. Lightning Strikes Again, Broken Bones, and Heaven Come Down, are also good albums. Return to the East is a great live CD/DVD combo from when Lynch,Don, Mick, and Jeff reunited for 3 shows and one show in the US back in 16. You can get a mini-replica of that guitar search George Lynch mini Replica. I always wanted a few of his guitars and that’s how I obtained them. There is a Rock Candy reissue of those four albums, back for the attack, has the track Back for the attack too. Nice packing on the rock candy reissues.
Man Dokken really brings me back, my uncle back in the day was a huge Dokken fan. He would always play riffs of them on his vintage Ibanez when we came over to visit
Back For The Attack is my favorite album. Mostly because it has the song Dream Warriors , from A Nightmare On Elm Street 3. I need those other early albums too.
Dokken rules ! Melanie, don't worry about what others think of your musical choices. I think you should get a full color poster of Under Lock and Key and hang that up. Lol. It's OK !
Rockin with Dokken! I learned about Dokken from my best friends cousin. Got a tape and played it all the time! Definitely cool band with so many great songs! I have always loved The Hunter…such great 🎸. Thanks for the taking the time to go through the set!
I think George had the Charvel tiger on that debut, but he did use Kramer for a bit, possibly on Tooth & Nail. I LOVE the Tooth & Nail album, but Lock & Key is my fave. George played his most melodic solo's on the album, all of them perfect. I liked Back for the attack, but Lynch was over playing a bit, influenced by the shred movement.
I was a fan of Dokken when they frist came. It was when saw Dokken live when they open for Dio on the last In Line that when I became a huge Dokken fan. I was able to meet Don Dokken and Mick Brown some years ago. We talked for almost an hour. Two of the coolest 😎 and friendliest guys I ever meet.
I've been eyeballing that vinyl set at my local shop past few weeks, but already own those albums as separate jewel cases... ohhhh the dilemma of being a collector. George lynch is incredible enough to sway me to splurge yet again. Set looks really nice on CD, in your case that seemed like the most logical way to go.
Nice boxset , would consider buying it as well but i already have the first 3 on cd. I remember buying Tooth and Nail and Under Lock and Key on vinyl when they came out and my copies didn't have posters so I'm assuming this is exclusive to the boxset. 28 dillars is a steal for what you got.
Dokken motley crue ratt twisted sister quiet riot og hair metal is great the stuff that came out in the late 80s ehhh but this boxset looks great I have the ratt n motley crue sets definitely getting this remastered?
M - Now look up the song "Back for the Attack" - off the Dream Warriors Cassette Single (or on the Japanese Best of Dokken yellow CD) and thank me later! : ) BTW - They are my 2nd favorite Hair Metal band - only surpassed by STRYPER !!!
I never thought of Dokken as "glam" - they always seemed just "heavy metal" (though with a more commercial slant) like the Scorpions, Def Leppard, Y&T, etc. "Hair metal" seems to me derogatory, and definitely does not apply to a band of the caliber of Dokken!
So should I change my title for you? Lol I’m not a huge fan of the term glam metal but I didn’t make it up or classify them on my own. They definitely dressed the part. Oh well I guess it depends on who you ask.
Saw them a few years ago with Ratt, L.A. Guns, and another band I can't remember but I was really disappointed with Dokken. Don can't sing anymore, and the new young dude on guitar is alright but no where near as good as George.

Dokken were one of the greats when I was in highschool!
Their next album next month will be good

I loved Dokken as a teenager.
Hell yeah! Love old Dokken! Hate digi pack

Awesome vid and cool box set. Just subscribed!
I unboxed it over on my channel too. Great set, great music!

Digibooks have hard covers and book pages in the digipak. I only own a handful. Digipaks are much more common.
It seems an interesting boxset. I might think about getting it.
What happened to the other channel?
I have stuff coming for that. Just haven’t been motivated to record a video for it. I gotta get off my ass.
@@MelanieLovesDeathMetal good to hear. Looking forward to it.
I just checked on Amazon here in EU. It is 42€. 👎I will check later on the label website
