  • Our body is made to work day and night that's why it is more prone to injuries. Any injury cause inflammation or swelling for healing which is normal process. Inflammation is painful process so we need to treat it.
Many people have confusion WHAT TO DO icing or heating. This video explain when to do ice therapy and heat therapy.
Acute injury is that which occur for 48 hours(2 days). We need icing for 10 minutes after every 4 hours
After 3 days we call it chronic and heating is used for 15 minutes twice a day. Heat dilates blood vessels results in increased blood flow to the area and removal of waste products which helps in relieving pain.
Ice for swelling, muscle pull, spasm, hit injury or fall in sports injuries
Heating for stiff muscle, tightness, soreness, relaxation
Ice packs and Heating pads (remote control) are available at Sukoon Physical Therapy
